Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1576: Chapter 798: In the Same Frame (3)

Song Chi gave the girl a slight smile but didn’t speak.

Someone else asked, ”Where are you going?”

They all remained silent.

It’s better to keep such whereabouts confidential.

The people surrounding them were bombarding them with questions.

So many questions.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi didn’t like causing commotion or crowds in such public places like the train station, so they never answered questions here, just quickly left.

One of the people, perhaps annoyed for this reason, asked, ”Why aren’t you saying anything? Do celebrities always act so high and mighty? What are you being so arrogant about?”

This person’s voice was loud enough for everyone around to hear, and these people were all recording with phones or cameras. Needless to say, this comment was definitely recorded.

Zhou Yun glanced at the person but said nothing.

Song Chi thought for a moment but then spoke, ”This is our private schedule, not a public event, and this is also a public place. Please stop following us, to avoid impacting others’ travel.”

The person who questioned them earlier looked even more displeased.

”Who do you think you are? We came to look at you, took photos of you, that’s us honoring you! Without the support of us common folks, who do you celebrities think you are?” The person’s voice grew louder.

Zhou Yun frowned, and she also noticed Song Chi’s expression turned severe and somber as he restrained his anger.

Zhou Yun gently held Song Chi’s hand, signaling him not to confront the person.

In fact, most people are rational.

The person’s insulting words aroused the resentment of others.

”Why are you saying such extreme things? Did they do something offensive?”

”That’s right, Brother Chi didn’t say anything wrong. This isn’t a public event, we like them which is why we ask so many questions. They answer if they want, if not, then they don’t. What’s the point of taking it to some moral high ground?”

”Stop representing us, will you? If you’re impolite, just leave, okay?”

The crowd collectively attacked that person.

The person angrily exclaimed, ”You fans are really spineless! They disregard you, and yet you still speak for them. Truly no dignity!”

”To hell with dignity! You don’t understand anything, and yet you’re here putting on airs, acting superior, even educating us!” a girl angrily said, ”Whatever we choose to do, do we need your education?”

The person was driven away by the crowd.

He continued to curse as he left.

The entire process was recorded on video.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi didn’t need to think much to know that this scene at the train station would eventually be uploaded online and stir public opinion.

”Thank you.” Zhou Yun said to them, ”Thank you for understanding us.”

”No worries, Xiao Yun, Brother Chi, don’t let people like that upset you. We know you don’t like fans coming to send off, afraid of impacting the environment around. Rest assured, most of us didn’t come to send you off, we were already waiting for our own trains and happened to see you, so couldn’t resist the curiosity to see you up close.”

At that moment, Zhou Yun genuinely felt touched.

Sometimes, she felt she wasn’t doing enough for the fans—a feeling contrasted by the emotions and surprises they continuously brought her.

As they reached the ticket gate, they waved goodbye to the fans.

...

Sure enough, someone quickly uploaded the captured video online, instantly igniting the internet.

For the past six months, there had been ongoing discussions like ”What’s so noble about the entertainment industry?”

Many young celebrities have exhibited behaviors or statements that make people question whether they have a problem with their heads.

The current young celebrities usually come from well-off families, have seen much, but their knowledge or cultivation is lacking, often exposing their arrogance or ignorance.

Variety shows and online platforms have exposed their flaws utterly.

Increasingly, people no longer believe in the glamorous packaging of these idol artists.

In reality, the incident with Song Chi and Zhou Yun had nothing to do with so-called ”arrogance.”

But it easily became associated with the term.

After the video was posted online, many people also believed that the act of ignoring others by Zhou Yun and Song Chi was very ”arrogant.”
