Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1571: Chapter 797: Getting Carried Away in Conversation_2

Liu Yun spoke frankly: ”But I actually don’t have much confidence in him; he’s not a professional editor or journalist. He knows nothing about interviews. Even if he’s been preparing diligently these past few days, such skills can’t be developed overnight.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”You’re right.”

”Perhaps I feel you’re giving him such an opportunity too easily,” Liu Yun said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, you don’t know how many people work hard every day, tirelessly flying around, conducting interviews one after another, becoming leaders in the industry. With such qualifications and status, they’re able to get an opportunity to interview you among a group of journalists. Lu Ming is so lucky; he’s acquired a chance that many have worked hard for years to obtain but haven’t gotten. When you think about it, I feel it’s very unfair to those journalists who want to interview you but can’t.”

Liu Yun’s words imparted a significant impact on Zhou Yun.

Prior to this, even what Zhou Lan said didn’t impact Zhou Yun this way.

Zhou Yun always followed her heart in doing things. To be an actor, such a flexible mindset is indeed needed. Zhou Yun felt that agreeing to Lu Ming’s interview was harmless; she only considered herself but hadn’t thought about what Liu Yun said. Or rather, she had thought about it but didn’t consider it a big deal.

However, Liu Yun’s words made her wonder if she had been too hasty.

Liu Yun didn’t continue speaking.

Zhou Yun also didn’t think further about this matter—no matter how she acts in the future, she has already agreed to Lu Ming this time, and she will definitely accept the interview.

After the makeup artist touched up her makeup and redid her hair, she went to the meeting room with Liu Yun.

This time, the interview was conducted in the studio’s meeting room.

Upon entering, Zhou Yun saw Lu Ming and Unice.

Lu Ming was originally sitting at the table, reading a thick document, while Unice was adjusting her camera.

Upon seeing her enter, both stopped their work and stood up.

”Miss Zhou,” Lu Ming greeted.

Zhou Yun showed him a smile.

”We meet again.” She walked over and shook hands with the two, ”Thank you for coming over.”

Lu Ming immediately shook his head, saying, ”It wasn’t hard, really not.”

He added, ”I should be thanking you, thank you for giving me such an opportunity.”

Lu Ming indeed exuded youthful energy and innocence, speaking in a mature tone, albeit with a hint of nervousness heard within.

Zhou Yun suddenly remembered why she agreed to Lu Ming.

At that time, Lu Ming stood in front of her, speaking just like this.

At that time, Zhou Yun was very curious; aren’t paparazzi supposed to be a group of seasoned, tough individuals, impervious to anything?

How did a so young and tender child suddenly appear?

Back then, Zhou Yun didn’t think of anything else; truthfully—well, she really didn’t want to admit this point, feeling as if admitting it would seem arrogant, but truly, Zhou Yun must acknowledge that in that moment, a feeling of pity emerged from within her.

Zhou Yun disliked her tendency to ”pity” someone.

Why should she be so condescending as to ”pity” someone?

In this era, or perhaps not blaming this era entirely, in general, ”pity” has gradually become a less empathetic word.

People are gradually realizing that everyone has their own life, and unless it’s a natural disaster or a man-made catastrophe, who wants to be pitied by others for no reason?

However, when Zhou Yun saw Lu Ming, such a young and vibrant child, asking whether he could interview her so naively and nervously.

Her heart filled with such emotion, and she indeed softened.

He needed a chance; why couldn’t she offer one?

At that time, it was merely such a simple thought.

Before the interview began, Lu Ming said, ”Miss Zhou, thank you for agreeing to my interview. To be honest, until now, it feels unreal, especially these past days as I’ve learned from others how rare an opportunity it is to interview you; it feels even more unreal.”
