Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1584: Chapter 800: Child of Prophecy, Get Lost

Lew Yuan said, ”You guys take a look and see what you’d like to eat, I’ll go order.”

Zhou Yun looked at the menu hanging on the wall and found there were quite a lot of options.

”I remember there’s a nice big pancake roll in Tianjin, I’ve had it before,” she said. ”I’m good with anything else, how about we share and order a few more dishes?”

”Sure,” Lew Yuan said, ”That’s exactly what I had in mind.”

Song Chi: ”I’m OK with that.”

So, Lew Yuan went to place the order.

At this moment, an old man at the next table asked, ”Are you two celebrities?”

Zhou Yun and Song Chi turned their heads at the same time. Song Chi replied, ”Sir, we are actors.”

”Actors?” The old man nodded, pondering for a moment, then asked, ”What shows have you acted in?”

There was a little boy sitting next to him, likely his grandson, who looked embarrassed and whispered, ”Grandpa, they’re both very famous actors; if you haven’t seen them, don’t ask.”

He was probably feeling shy.

The old man said, ”Why not? Can’t I even ask?”

This remark was directed at his grandson.

Song Chi chuckled and said, ”Last year there was a film called ’Laissez-faire’ that was released, have you seen it?”

”A movie?” the old man said, ”I think I might have seen it on Channel Six. I thought you looked familiar.”

”What did you think? Was it okay?”

”It was alright,” the old man nodded, ”I liked it.”

Song Chi: ”As long as you liked it, it was worth filming.”

”But it can’t compare to ’Infernal Affairs’,” the old man added.

Song Chi: ”I’ll work harder next time to make something better.”

The old man nodded with satisfaction.

Zhou Yun listened to Song Chi’s responses, smiling, and after they finished chatting, she said, ”I heard that Zhi Wei is writing the script for a sequel to ’Laissez-faire’. Is that true?”

Song Chi: ”It’s true, everyone loved the first one and really wanted to continue telling this story.”

Zhou Yun was delighted and said, ”I love this story too; having a sequel is really great.”

”What’s this about a sequel being really great?” Lew Yuan returned.

Zhou Yun said, ”Song Chi just mentioned that ’Laissez-faire’ will have a sequel.”

Lew Yuan showed an expression of surprise and asked, ”Wow, that’s fantastic! If people know, they’ll surely be very excited; the first one was amazing.”

”Yeah, it’s fortunate that Zhi Wei also wants to continue writing this story. If Zhi Wei didn’t write the sequel script, we wouldn’t want to film it,” Song Chi said. ”Actually, Zhi Wei previously mentioned that he had many ideas for this story. If possible, he’d like to turn them all into scripts, including ’Moon Sinking at Sea,’ which was also part of his conceptualization of the spy war world.”

Lew Yuan said, ”When will ’Moon Sinking at Sea’ air? Can you reveal it now?”

Song Chi: ”The post-production is completed, but the exact broadcast date is still pending scheduling, so we don’t know yet.”

Lew Yuan: ”The last time you worked together on a TV series was with ’Heart Inquiry’, right?”

”Yes.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”It’s been almost four years; time flies.”

Lew Yuan: ”That show was really well-made. I watched every episode without missing one.”

”I always said that from that show onwards, I started to truly understand what character development was.”

”By the way, Xiao Yun, didn’t you film another series with Director Kang afterwards?”

”Yes, ’Chen Yin.’” Zhou Yun nodded, ”It’s about to air soon, just wait a little longer and you’ll be able to watch it.”

Lew Yuan asked, ”What’s the story about? Can you share?”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”From the perspective of the character I played, I think this story is about how a person walks through darkness. How can I put it, hmm, let’s say I’ve never played a role that was so hard to leave behind. It took a lot of psychological preparation to step into this role and a long time to come out of it.”

”Wow, it sounds like a very complex role.”

”Indeed, very complex,” Zhou Yun laughed, ”Even my agent says, how come the roles I play are always so challenging, and I’ve never done any that are a bit more relaxed.”

”Speaking of which, Xiao Yun, you’ve never really acted in a light comedy, have you?”

”Maybe everyone just thinks I should suffer and struggle, so the roles that come my way are all very challenging,” Zhou Yun laughed.

After breakfast, the group got in the car and set off for the first destination.

The program recording was actually about searching for historical traces in Tianjin City and learning about stories from the past.
