Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1572: Chapter 797: Getting Carried Away in Conversation_3

Zhou Yun waved her hand and said, ”It’s fine, I often get interviewed by those seasoned journalists with deep credentials. I’m curious to see if today, between you and me, the interview can bring out something more novel.”

Lu Ming smiled shyly.

”I don’t know.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

Alright, this kid is quite straightforward.

Lu Ming truly doesn’t know how to interview. After saying that, Zhou Yun waited for Lu Ming to speak, but he remained silent for a long time.

Zhou Yun: ”Hmm?”

Lu Ming was startled, snapped out of it, and asked, ”Can we start?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Of course.”

Lu Ming made a couple of acknowledging sounds and said, ”Got it.”

He nervously opened the recording device and said, ”Then I’ll start.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Lu Ming took a deep breath and said, ”Miss Zhou, my first question is, what do you think about the accomplishments you have achieved so far?”

Zhou Yun was taken aback.

Lu Ming suddenly panicked.

”What’s wrong? Did I ask an inappropriate question?”

Zhou Yun said, ”I’m not sure from which angle to address that, the question is too broad. Is this a question from your interview outline?”

”Ah, yes.” Lu Ming said.

Zhou Yun said, ”How about putting the outline aside for now? Let’s just have a casual chat, shall we?”

Lu Ming asked in surprise, ”Just chat casually?”

This seemed a bit different from the interviews he knew.

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Anyway, we have the recorder, let’s just chat casually.”

Lu Ming nodded, uttered a sound of agreement, and said, ”Alright.”

He closed his notebook, thought for a while, and said, ”Actually, what I want to know most right now is why you’re willing to accept my interview, because... I’ve never had any experience as a journalist.”

Zhou Yun laughed, ”I mentioned this to you before. How should I put it? If you want me to give a very specific reason, I’m not sure how to articulate it. It’s more like an intuition, a feeling. Perhaps it’s because the interviews I usually do are with very experienced individuals, so I suddenly want to see if chatting with someone who doesn’t quite understand questioning techniques or interviewing can bring out something different.”

Lu Ming let out a sigh of relief and said, ”So you see my lack of expertise and experience as an advantage. Honestly, I thought you agreed without knowing. If you had known I never did this before, you’d definitely regret it.”

Zhou Yun: ”There’s no regret, and there’s no need for regret. Fate is an important concept throughout life. I cherish every encounter. There’s a phrase I love, ’ichi-go ichi-e,’ which means treasuring every meeting. I’m not someone who regrets things I’ve done, because I believe that every decision you make at the time is the best judgment you could make. And if a decision turns out to be wrong, there’s no reason to dwell on regret; you simply work to remedy and adjust.”

Lu Ming gazed at Zhou Yun in admiration, ”That’s so cool. I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t regret.”

”Don’t misunderstand me. It’s not that I don’t experience regret; it’s that I don’t get caught up in the emotion of regret,” Zhou Yun emphasized, ”For me, the feeling of regret is harmful and unhelpful.”

Lu Ming seemed to understand halfway.

His age didn’t allow him to fully grasp the meaning of Zhou Yun’s words.

Meanwhile, Unice, who had been taking photos beside them, showed a surprised expression.

...

Lu Ming started talking about movies again.

”Recently, it seems like you’ve been doing more TV dramas than movies. When I researched, I saw many people questioning why you’re not focusing exclusively on movies,” Lu Ming said, ”Because wouldn’t that mean you can do more movies?”

Zhou Yun: ”Why should I give up good TV dramas just to do more movies? For me, whether it’s a series or a movie, it’s all the same—they’re the works of an actor. When I choose scripts, I always pick the ones that move me more and have a production team that moves me more, regardless of whether it’s a movie or a series. Many people might habitually think movies are more prestigious, but nowadays, the production quality of series is not inferior to movies. I don’t wish to be labeled just a ’film actor.’ Honestly, I want to try every type of work, including plays and stage dramas.”
