Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1551: Chapter 785_2

Wang Zilin said that Wen Bing had told her, if Zhou Yun needs to rush off to another crew, it’s fine to stop shooting for now, they can just pick it up again later.

Zhou Lan was utterly stunned.

She had no idea what Wen Bing was doing.

Is this how you shoot a movie, just recklessly going wild?

You don’t care when you finish shooting, when you wrap?

Of course, in reality Zhou Yun wasn’t in that much of a hurry to get to Australia to shoot Killing Song.

That film starts shooting in December, and in the second half of the month at that. It’s only November now, so it’s not urgent to the point of a five-alarm fire.

But Zhou Lan still couldn’t just let Zhou Yun keep shooting endlessly like this in Wen Bing’s crew.

She needed to sit down and seriously think through how she was going to handle this.

The relationship between Zhou Yun and Wen Bing was too good, so Zhou Lan couldn’t go around Zhou Yun to talk to Wen Bing about it, or Zhou Yun would definitely get mad at her.

But she also knew Zhou Yun’s temperament very well.

If she went to Zhou Yun about it, then Zhou Yun would definitely say she wanted to cooperate with Wen Bing as much as possible.

And it wasn’t unreasonable for Zhou Yun to want to do that.

Zhou Lan just didn’t want Zhou Yun to go into Killing Song with the prep done too hastily.

Brillanch had already told Zhou Lan that they wanted Zhou Yun to join the crew early to do some Martial Arts training.

Zhou Lan told Brillanch that the Martial Arts training could be done back in China.

But Brillanch said the whole crew was being set up in Australia, and the stunt coordinator had to guide a lot of people at the same time, there was no way he’d fly to China just for Zhou Yun alone.

Zhou Lan said Zhou Yun would go over early, but that her physical and action foundations were already very solid, she didn’t need to start from zero, so there was no need to waste so much time.

Brillanch asked Zhou Lan to give him a date for when Zhou Yun would join the crew.

Zhou Lan said she’d coordinate first and let him know once it was confirmed.

Right now what Zhou Lan needed was to lock down that date.

She had come to Phoenix County again.

She was sitting on the back of a motorcycle, shivering from the cold, when she suddenly saw a group of people up ahead on the ridge between the fields, with several cameras and rigs—obviously filming.

She immediately told them to stop and headed straight over there.

Zhou Yun, Gu Huaichun, and Yu Zhiyang were squatting on a ridge, looking at the golden, dazzling rice in the field.

The three of them in that pose all looked a bit ungainly.

Zhou Lan stood among the onlookers.

Clearly, they were in the middle of a take.

None of the three were wearing any makeup, they were actually completely bare-faced.

Zhou Lan was utterly shocked.

But at the same time, the image looked so harmonious.

The three of them were in the plainest clothes, squatting on the ridge—sometimes gazing off into the distance, sometimes tilting their heads up to look at the sky, sometimes turning to glance at one another—and what was that look Yu Zhiyang was giving Zhou Yun!

Zhou Lan was surprised to notice that the look in that brat Yu Zhiyang’s eyes was not simple at all!

Had he fallen for Zhou Yun?

Oh, no, wait, they’re filming—his character in the movie is supposed to like Zhou Yun.

Zhou Lan let out a long sigh of relief.

What she found strange was that the three of them just squatted there without saying a word, so she thought they were about to finish the shot.

But Wen Bing didn’t call cut.

The other crew members seemed completely used to this, also not saying anything.

Zhou Lan was full of questions.

Only after five minutes passed did Zhou Yun suddenly stand up, pat her legs, and say, ”The sun’s about to set, let’s head back.”

The three of them stood up and walked forward along the ridge.

The camera stayed on them, continuously rolling.

Only when the three of them had walked very, very far—Zhou Lan suspected almost a hundred meters—did Wen Bing finally call out ”Cut.”

Zhou Lan: ”...”

She didn’t get it.

Zhou Lan might not be an actor and doesn’t act herself, but after so many years in the business, she knew what the working state of a crew on set was usually like.

Normal filming shouldn’t be like this, right?

Then again, Wen Bing was never an ordinary director to begin with.

She’d long since heard Zhou Yun say that this time Wen Bing was making something very different.

It wasn’t that Zhou Lan doubted Wen Bing’s ability or talent; she was just purely confused.

After Wen Bing called cut, Wang Zilin said, ”Everyone pack up and let’s go eat dinner.”

Zhou Lan hurried forward to say hi to the two of them.

”Hi, Zilin, Director Wen.”

”Lanlan’s here.” Wang Zilin greeted her with a smile. ”How come you didn’t give us a heads-up? Are you staying the night here? I’ll go arrange a room for you?”

Zhou Lan said, ”No, I’m not staying. I’ve got a meeting with someone in Shanghai tomorrow at noon, so I have to head back tonight. I came to find Xiao Yun—Killing Song is about to start shooting, and there are some things on Mélando’s side I need to go over with her.”
