Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1567: Chapter 795: New Movie (Part 2)

Zhou Yun went upstairs alone, pulling her suitcase.

The elevator was very quiet.

The hallway was equally quiet.

Zhou Yun opened the door, stepped into the entrance, turned on the light, just about to take off her shoes when she paused.

She looked at the pair of sneakers on the left, clearly several sizes larger than hers, hesitated for a moment, suddenly realizing something, her eyes instantly brightened.

She placed the suitcase against the wall and walked inside, just reaching the bedroom door when she heard the sound of water from the shower inside.

This bathroom was connected to the bedroom.

Zhou Yun called out, ”Brother Chi?”

”Hmm?” Song Chi’s voice came from inside, ”Xiao Yun, you’re back?”

Upon hearing Song Chi’s voice, Zhou Yun’s heart bloomed with joy.

”I’m back!” Zhou Yun said in surprise, ”Why are you back too? Weren’t you filming with the crew?”

Song Chi said, ”I took two days off from the crew, why are you back early? I was planning to surprise you, so it failed.”

Zhou Yun laughed.

It was only then that she walked into the bedroom.

Then, she saw the surprise Song Chi had prepared for her.

Unexpectedly... a whole bed covered in rose petals!

Zhou Yun was stunned by the large area of rose petals, standing there for a while before regaining her senses.

She had only seen such a thing in movies before.

At that time, her feeling was, true to the movie.

But when all this happened before her eyes, her inner feeling was not ”true to the movie”, but ”What madness is Song Chi on about?”

Of course, although this thought crossed her mind, the next moment, an indescribable, unnamed tenderness swept through her entire body.

She turned to glance at the bathroom where the water had yet to stop, and a thought surfaced in her mind.

...

Song Chi thought Zhou Yun would return a little later.

Zhou Yun’s early return disrupted his plans.

Song Chi felt a bit helpless, but it didn’t matter. What mattered was they could finally be together again tonight.

Thinking of this, a long-suppressed warmth surged through his body, like electricity coursing through all his blood vessels from head to toe.

After washing, Song Chi came out and said, ”Didn’t Sister Lan tell me you wouldn’t arrive until after eleven?”

Zhou Yun’s voice came from inside, ”We planned to have dinner there before returning, but Sister Lan hurried back because she had an appointment, so we rescheduled, arriving a bit earlier.”

”That makes sense, sigh, my carefully prepared—” Song Chi was toweling his hair as he walked in, suddenly his voice stopped abruptly.

His hair-drying movement ceased, he suddenly seemed to turn into a stone sculpture, motionlessly looking at the person on the bed.

According to Song Chi’s plan, he had intended to recreate a movie scene and bury himself in rose petals to ”seduce” Zhou Yun.

But Zhou Yun arrived early, making the ”seduction” impossible.

Song Chi felt somewhat regretful, just about to tell Zhou Yun, when he saw the scene he had imagined unfold right before his eyes.

However, the protagonist of the scene had changed.

Zhou Yun lay sideways, half-reclined among enchanting rose petals, her eyes like waves, smiling at him.

”What did you prepare so carefully?” she asked.

All Song Chi could do was swallow, his eyes stunned.

Dry mouth, parched tongue.

...

After a period of cloud and rain that lasted who knows how long, both let out a satisfied sigh.

Song Chi hugged Zhou Yun, asking, ”Did you guess I’d be back tonight?”

Zhou Yun shook her head, saying, ”I told Sister Lan, after recording my program on the 8th, I’d come find you.”

Song Chi, ”You mean Lew Yuan’s program?”

”Hmm.” Zhou Yun nodded.

Song Chi said, ”Lew Yuan knows we rarely have time to meet, so he specifically invited us to the same session. I took leave from the crew because of this.”

Zhou Yun asked in surprise, ”You’re also going to record the program?”

”Hmm.”

Zhou Yun laughed joyously, ”That’s great.”

Song Chi pinched Zhou Yun’s waist, suddenly remembering, ”Didn’t you eat dinner tonight?”

”I had a light meal provided on the plane.”

”Want to have some more?”

”It’s too late now, forget it,” Zhou Yun shook her head, ”Eating would make me gain weight.”

Song Chi sat up from the bed.

”It’s fine for one night, let’s just have something simple. I’ll check what’s in the fridge,” Song Chi said.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Will there be anything in the fridge?”

”There will be,” Song Chi said, ”Every time before we return, they prepare some of our regular items and put them in.”

If they didn’t come for a long time, these items would be taken back and shared among them.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yun sat up too.

”Then let’s see what’s to eat.”

They put on clothes, just a coat over their bodies.

It was already early morning, tomorrow they still had to go record the program together.

The first session would be recorded in Tianjin, since it’s close to Beijing, they didn’t need to rush there early.

Zhou Yun cut two oranges, planning just to have some fruit.

However, Song Chi turned on the stove, planning to cook himself a bowl of noodles.

Zhou Yun saw this and asked in surprise, ”You didn’t have dinner?”

Song Chi, ”I didn’t. I took the six-thirty flight, straight from the film set to the airport.”

Zhou Yun, ”Why didn’t you say earlier? Actually, why don’t we order takeout?”

”What do you feel like eating?”

”Not me, it’s you I’m thinking of, just a bowl of noodles, will it be enough?”

”Almost,” Song Chi said, ”Your assistant’s mushroom minced-meat sauce is quite good, I often mix it with my noodles.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Then I’ll have Xiaoyun make you a few more jars later.”

”No need, don’t bother her,” Song Chi said, ”I still have some.”

”Are you eating well with the crew?” Zhou Yun always felt Song Chi was too thin.

”If I’m not eating well with the crew, the others are eating even worse,” Song Chi said, ”Don’t worry, I’m eating fine, just have to continuously control calorie intake, so I never feel full and have to endure hunger.”

Zhou Yun, ”You’re maintaining your physique really well now; you shouldn’t push yourself too hard, right?”

”Sigh, the main thing is the next film requires me to be as slim as possible,” Song Chi said, ”If I don’t start controlling now, later I’ll have to diet and exercise more stringently. Forget it, better to boil the frog in warm water.”

Zhou Yun, ”What’s this next film about?”

”An art film, I play a cancer patient,” Song Chi said, ”My own company is producing it.”

Zhou Yun asked in surprise, ”Wow, you’re finally starting to make an art film.”

Previously, Song Chi mainly focused on films with better commercial prospects to quickly establish his company’s footing.

Song Chi, ”Watching you star in one great film after another, made me itch to act.”

”Haha,” Zhou Yun nodded, ”Finally, you’re challenging yourself again.”

Over the past two years, apart from ”Heart Inquiry,” the films Song Chi acted in didn’t pose significant challenges for him.

It was a pity for Zhou Yun, considering Song Chi’s excellent acting skills weren’t fully utilized.

Song Chi, ”Hopefully, it’ll surprise everyone.”
