Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1580: Chapter 799: Capturing the Moment_2

This fear wasn’t a mere formality at the start, then transformed into a courage to save the world.

From the beginning to the end, fear accompanied him until the conclusion of the story.

The script very directly expresses his view on superpowers for ordinary people; he uses the characters to describe superpowers as a curse.

In fact, it truly is a curse for someone who simply wants to live a good life.

The meaning isn’t that possessing a treasure invites trouble—not saying that after gaining this superpower, Wu Liqun gets swept into endless troubles, although he indeed gets entangled time and again.

But getting involved in troubles is not the process, it’s the result.

The most crucial part is that every time, he actively stands up and opens the door to trouble.

Every time Wu Liqun speaks his prophecy, he’s clearly aware of the possible troubles he might face afterward, so he never wants to admit he has such an ability, nor does he intend to rely on this skill to become a celebrity or make a fortune, gaining fame and wealth.

However, if he doesn’t voice this prophecy, the child destined to have a car accident an hour later won’t be able to avoid it and will die; if he doesn’t voice this prophecy, the girl named Tingting will miss her last chance to see her grandfather.

As the fact that he has clairvoyant abilities gradually spreads, people no longer view him as an ordinary person.

Everyone is afraid of being in contact with him, fearing their secrets will be seen through. Meanwhile, many also want to exploit his ability to do bad things. His life is completely disrupted, and he is destined never to live normally again. Even those around him become hostile, wishing for him to leave. No one wants their secrets to be seen by him as a future event.

He is forced to hide, making sure no one can find him. But one day, a serial killer arrives in the town he’s hiding in. When he comes into contact with the killer, he sees a vision of the killer murdering a woman in the town three days later. He once again faces a dilemma: whether to reveal his clairvoyant ability to catch the serial killer who has evaded capture for years and save the woman’s life.

As Lew Yuan said, it’s a very fascinating story.

Zhou Yun’s first reaction was that the script could actually be performed by Song Chi.

Song Chi’s company could definitely produce this movie.

Zhou Yun messaged Lew Yuan: Brother Lew, I finished reading the script. The protagonist is quite suitable for Song Chi to play. Have you talked to him about this script before?

Lew Yuan quickly replied: Brother Chi said he’s already connected with New Shield about another film also related to clairvoyant ability, afraid of repetition, so he declined.

Zhou Yun recalled that Song Chi had mentioned Yao Yuanfeng giving him a script, and Song Chi wanted to involve Yu Zhiyang in that drama.

Indeed, that drama is also about a university professor who suddenly acquires clairvoyant abilities after a car accident, thus learning that he will be murdered a week later.

Although the story’s content and themes are completely different, they both involve the element of ”foreknowledge.”

Zhou Yun understood Song Chi’s decision.

She told Lew Yuan: This story is written very well; I want to help him produce this movie. Brother Lew, could you perhaps arrange a meeting for us to get acquainted with your friend?

Lew Yuan responded immediately: Sure! That’s great, dear. Thanks for giving him a definite response so quickly; I’ll contact him right away.

Zhou Yun sent back a beaming smile.

Lew Yuan acted swiftly, scheduling a meeting for the night after the show’s recording ended.

Zhou Yun immediately reached out to Zhou Lan, inviting Sister Lan to join on that day as well.

Zhou Lan asked what was going on.

Zhou Yun: ”Lew Yuan recommended a very fascinating script to me that I love; I want to help this director make the movie. We’ve scheduled a meeting for the night after tomorrow to discuss it. Could you come and join us in the conversation? I feel this script is suitable for Lu Zhongting or Huang Zicheng to perform.”

Upon hearing it, Zhou Lan promptly replied: ”Sure, I’ll buy the ticket right away. Should I bring them both along?”

”Not yet, let’s meet them first and finalize our intentions before discussing the next steps.”

After the call, Song Chi came in.

”Finished with your call?” Zhou Yun asked.
