Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1196: Chapter 657: VX and D House, Part 3

”Sister Xiaowen, why are you...” Zhou Yun looked at Zheng Xiaowen in surprise.

Zheng Xiaowen smiled and said, ”Xiao Yun, long time no see.”

When Zhou Yun understood Zheng Xiaowen’s intentions, she realized why Zheng Xiaowen had come all this way.

It turned out to be because she was afraid she would leave.

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”Sister Xiaowen, I refused the renewal terms you previously proposed, not because I was dissatisfied with the conditions offered, but because I had said before that I’m not keen on wearing clothes from just one brand. Of course, I really like VX, and my collaboration with VX has been very pleasant, but that’s a separate issue. Sister Xiaowen, I hope you can understand my perspective?”

Zheng Xiaowen nodded and said, ”Every girl wants to wear all the clothes in the world; I can understand that. But, Xiao Yun, VX needs you, and I need you. Our previous collaboration was so wonderful, wasn’t it? If you don’t want to be bound by VX, you can, like now, occasionally wear clothes from other brands; I fully understand that. However, I believe there’s a longer journey you and VX can walk together, don’t you think?”

Zhou Yun had never actually thought of not renewing with VX.

She hadn’t realized that wearing D’s clothes on the red carpet this time had made Zheng Xiaowen so uneasy.

”Sister Xiaowen, as you said, my collaboration with VX has been very pleasant. What’s more, I truly value your attention and support. Look at how many dresses you’ve personally made for me. I hold that dear. So, as long as everything is appropriate, renewing the contract isn’t an issue, okay?” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Yun’s words conveyed her sincerity well enough.

Zheng Xiaowen understood what Zhou Yun meant.

”Alright, hearing you say that puts my mind at ease.”

Zheng Xiaowen then followed Zhou Yun back to the airport, bought a ticket for the nearest flight home, and flew back.

...

On the flight to the United States, Zhou Lan said to Zhou Yun, ”This time she truly got scared.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”It’s not the first time I’ve worn D’s clothes. Why is she so nervous?”

Zhou Lan said, ”What else could it be? You have no idea how much buzz your appearance in D’s design has created. People in the fashion circle have gone crazy, all praising how well you and D’s style match. On top of that, everyone is so optimistic about your collaboration with D. In this kind of public opinion environment, how could Zheng Xiaowen not be nervous?”

Zhou Yun nodded, ”I see.”

”The response this time was particularly good. I heard the dress you wore is already sold out in the Asian region,” Zhou Lan said. ”The head of D’s Asian Region sent me a present this morning. I have no idea what it is, but I guess it’s something valuable.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

”That’s nice.”

Zhou Lan asked, ”Xiao Yun, do you really intend to continue collaborating with VX?”

”Yes.” Zhou Yun nodded.

”Just one more word from me, of course, I fully respect your opinion. I just want to let you know that there are actually many of your fans now saying that VX doesn’t match your status. Unlike Su Yan, Yin Lin, who have sideline endorsements with G and D, insiders also feel that VX, after all, is a relatively new brand. It can’t compare to the century-old brands like G, which have style and better match your identity.”

”Let them say what they want; even if I don’t endorse G or D, it doesn’t affect anything else,” Zhou Yun said. ”The most important thing is that I like the style of VX. If I can collaborate with VX long-term and imprint my personal brand on it, wouldn’t that be more fulfilling than endorsing an already successful brand?”

”Alright then, I’m just passing on some feedback I received, but of course, I absolutely respect your opinion,” Zhou Lan laughed. ”As facts have shown, many of your judgments are indeed correct.”

Zhou Yun was delighted to hear Zhou Lan say this.

”Sister Lan, when the time is right, let’s sign Xiao Jing and others’ contracts to our studio,” Zhou Yun said. ”A capable agent like you can nurture more excellent artists, not just actors. I remember you once mentioned wanting to sign talk show agents, didn’t you?”

Zhou Lan said, ”I’m too busy; our current studio doesn’t yet have a mature operating mechanism. We can’t just take on everything willy-nilly. I haven’t signed them to agent contracts, but I have signed several for commercial agency contracts.”

”I see.” Zhou Yun smiled, ”That’s pretty great too.”
