Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1176: Chapter 652: Behind the Scenes_3

If in five years, ten years, they still remain lukewarm and can’t achieve fame, will she continue to persevere?

Even if she wants to persevere, will Chengqian Entertainment still allow her to?

The contracts of these artists are still under Chengqian Entertainment.

Zhou Lan thought about the possibility that they might encounter the same fate as Li Ci in the future, and her anxiety and urgency grew even stronger. She must make the studio bigger, stronger, more independent.

She doesn’t have great ambitions, she just hopes to advance when possible and retreat when necessary.

Just like she promised Huang Zicheng, even if he never becomes famous in the future, she will ensure he can have a meal.

Zhou Lan recalled signing Huang Zicheng and Lu Zhongting, when both of them were complete novices, having nothing to do with the entertainment industry.

It was their trust in her that led them to entrust their first careers into her hands.

At this most golden, youthful age, also the age with the most possibilities.

Zhou Lan doesn’t want them to repeat Li Ci’s fate one day.

This time, as ”Deep Sea” airs, Zhou Lan has arranged a very meticulous publicity plan for Yuk Chu, determined to elevate Yuk Chu’s fame one tier during the airing period.

At this point, the role of channels becomes especially prominent.

Zhou Lan proactively made interview cooperation plans with all major media outlets, major magazines, self-media with more than five million followers; talking to them one by one.

No fees are required from them, and they can leverage the popularity of the ”Deep Sea” airing while Yuk Chu can use their distribution channels for more people to get to know her.

However, Yuk Chu is pregnant, so many of the hot variety shows that require vigorous activity cannot be attended.

Yet, Zhou Lan doesn’t prevent Yuk Chu from recording these shows.

She carefully chose several shows, negotiating details of the recording with the producers to ensure Yuk Chu can sit or stand steadily throughout the program.

At this time, there needs to be frequent exposure but not to the point of being overdone.

Hence, Zhou Lan doesn’t design a persona or label for Yuk Chu.

She tells Yuk Chu: ”Your natural personality is great, not spoiled, not pretentious, you don’t offend the audience. Just remember not to seem noisy or reserved, being straightforward is fine, even being a beautiful vase works.”

Zhou Lan doesn’t intend for Yuk Chu to gain special memory points from these variety shows; she only wants Yuk Chu to maintain high exposure during this period in coordination with the show’s airing.

Then, it was the publicity team’s task.

What disappointed Zhou Lan was that Yuk Chu’s character in the show hasn’t yet resonated with the audience with any explosive points.

Otherwise, leveraging the character’s popularity to boost Yuk Chu’s fame and audience goodwill would have been much more effective.

How should this situation be described?

For example, Character A, very well-liked by the audience, can lead audiences to actively mention them on social platforms, and certain segments can tap into the public’s emotions, turning into some shared meme. Character B, distinctly characterized, either extremely disliked or extremely liked by viewers, seen as crazy, with notable flaws, or beloved for being genuine, allowing strong audience self-insertion. Character C, overall good, the audience doesn’t feel repelled while watching, and often finds the character quite nice, but after watching, wouldn’t actively think about this character unless asked, meaning it hasn’t left any particularly strong emotional points.

Currently, Yuk Chu’s role in ”Deep Sea” resembles Character C. Generally appreciated for her good performance and likability, yet neither the discussion nor hardcore fans match those for He Wenyun’s role B, which appears for less than twenty minutes in the first three episodes, evoking love or hate, transforming into significant fan base for He Wenyun.

Though Zhou Lan feels disappointed, there are still many episodes to come. Yuk Chu has performed well throughout the series, winning over audiences remains unknown.

She continued to steadily execute the previously designed publicity plan for Yuk Chu.

After meeting with He Yong in company, she then headed to the airport.

She arranged to negotiate a movie in Beijing the next day, hoping to cast Wang Jing.

However, the film has many competitors, leaving Zhou Lan uncertain about her chances.
