Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1189: Chapter 656: Zhou Yun and Gu Huaichun (Part 2)

Zhou Lan stared into Zhou Yun’s eyes and asked.

Zhou Yun sighed helplessly and said, ”Sister Lan, nothing ever happened between me and Gu Huaichun. If you really want to ask what happened between us, it was just that at the very beginning, we couldn’t stand each other.”

Zhou Lan: ”...You don’t need to add that last part. We need to respond to this matter quickly. The later we respond, the more people will doubt.”

”Hmm.”

”Of course, we can’t show a dismissive attitude towards Xu Qin. There are still a lot of people online supporting her, and many have chosen to believe Xu Qin.”

”When these things come out, the girl usually suffers a loss. It’s normal for people to instinctively believe Xu Qin. As for how to clarify this matter, Gu Huaichun has to figure it out himself. I’ll just deny what’s between me and Gu Huaichun. Where did Xu Qin hear this from, that I was deceived by Gu Huaichun?”

Putting everything else aside, just that one sentence, Xu Qin is definitely lying, or she has been misled by someone else’s rumors.

After discussing with Zhou Lan, Zhou Yun decided to directly post on Weibo to explain the matter.

She wrote on Weibo: Gu Huaichun and I have been friends since we started filming ”Eighth Heartbeat.” I don’t know about what happened between him and Miss Xu Qin, but as for the claim that I was also deceived by Gu Huaichun, that’s simply not true. In the beginning, he thought I was just a famous online influencer without acting skills, and I thought he was arrogant and self-important, a fool. We only became friends after getting to know more about each other.

Once she posted this on Weibo, even though it was already early morning domestically, it quickly garnered over a thousand comments within minutes.

Among them, a highly liked comment read: You only addressed not being deceived by Gu Huaichun, but as his friend, do you have any response to him allegedly playing with many women’s feelings?

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and replied: First, I’m friends with Gu Huaichun, but that doesn’t mean I know all about his romantic life, nor am I interested. Second, whether Gu Huaichun has really played with many women’s emotions is still uncertain. Right now, it’s just Xu Qin’s one-sided claim. It might even be a misunderstanding between the two. Please do not prematurely conclude on this matter before Gu Huaichun responds.

What Zhou Yun posted had already conveyed her stance regarding Gu Huaichun.

From the beginning, Zhou Yun fully believed in Gu Huaichun.

She didn’t think Gu Huaichun would deliberately deceive someone’s feelings; he wasn’t that kind of person.

It was still early morning, and despite both Xu Qin and Zhou Yun speaking out, the issue hadn’t sparked widespread discussion. This incident would only cause a broader public discourse the next morning when everyone woke up.

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”Sister Lan, do you think Gu Huaichun’s team is aware of this matter? They wouldn’t have already gone to bed, would they?”

Before Zhou Lan could respond, Zhou Yun hurriedly contacted Gu Huaichun herself.

She made an overseas call, and after a while, Gu Huaichun finally answered the phone.

”Did you see Xu Qin’s Weibo post?” Zhou Yun immediately asked when the call connected.

Gu Huaichun’s voice sounded slightly irritable, ”I saw it. My agent already dragged me to the company. I just saw your Weibo post. Thank you.”

”No problem. Are the things between you and Xu Qin not as she claims?”

”No,” Gu Huaichun said. ”I’m most afraid of these emotional troubles. Never thought that despite all precautions, I still couldn’t avoid it.”

”If you’re afraid of emotional troubles, you should stay away from women,” Zhou Yun criticized directly.

Gu Huaichun seemed a bit sheepish, ”I’m not a monk.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

Gu Huaichun said: ”You’d better not get involved in this matter later. I’m not sure if I can wash my hands of it. She suddenly went mad, and I don’t know what she might do.”

”As long as it’s not like what she claims, let the facts be the facts.”

”She has photos.”

”What photos?”

”Photos of us sleeping together,” said Gu Huaichun. ”She took them secretly while I was asleep.”

”...” Zhou Yun was somewhat speechless.

Gu Huaichun said: ”We had already agreed at the time that it was a mutual need. She also agreed, but who would have thought she’d turn against me now.”

”What’s her purpose?”
