Chapter 1156: Chapter 646: Taken Away On the Spot

But, what is the truth after all?

Zhou Lan’s feelings were very conflicted.

She also asked herself a question: If Huang Zicheng really did this, should she blacklist Huang Zicheng?

Not arranging any work for him for the next few years?

Rationally, she wanted to do this. An artist with poor character like this is not worth nurturing. Emotionally, she didn’t want to do this. An artist she has worked with for so long, how could they part ways so easily?

She began to pray in her heart, hoping her judgment was correct, hoping Huang Zicheng was worthy of her trust.

In any case, before the final truth is revealed, she will not give up on Huang Zicheng.

Tan Yuanyang’s statement garnered quite a bit of sympathy for Jin Lin.

It turned out that these photos were privately sent between Jin Lin and her boyfriend, which made it easier for everyone to accept.

The controversy surrounding Jin Lin initially was partly due to some ”feudal remnants” criticizing Jin Lin for taking such explicit photos, considering her not to have enough ”feminine virtue.” On the other hand, Jin Lin’s previous fans felt deceived, as her previous image was sunny, youthful, and innocent.

Various unpleasant voices mixed together, shaping Jin Lin into an image of a ”lustful woman,” with negative attacks hurled at this image.

Tan Yuanyang’s statement mainly approached this public relations issue from two aspects.

First, these photos inherently belong to the privacy between lovers and should not be made public. Anyone in private, in a romantic relationship, behaves differently than in front of the public, and this is quite normal.

Second, the one who should be blamed for this event is the person who uploaded these photos online without Jin Lin’s consent. Who this person is, is still under police investigation. Public accusations should not be directed at Jin Lin.

From the effect after the statement was released, it successfully shifted the public opinion in the direction they wanted.

Zhou Yun lamented during a meal with Zhou Lan: ”I did not expect that such an issue would need a statement to make everyone focus on pursuing the person who uploaded the photos without consent.”

Zhou Lan said: ”There will always be a group of people who relentlessly pursue private virtue issues.”

”Have the police results come out yet?” Zhou Yun asked, ”It shouldn’t be difficult to investigate the IP address behind the online ID, right?”

”The ID that posted the photos on the forum is overseas,” Zhou Lan said, ”we can’t find out exactly who it is, and now we are investigating the small WeChat account that was chatting with Jin Lin.”

”Huang Zicheng... How has he been these past two days?” Zhou Yun asked.

”How could he be? Other than filming, he’s locked himself in his room, not coming out. With this happening, he also has to endure a lot of condemnation from others.”

”Sister Lan, do you believe Huang Zicheng?” Zhou Yun suddenly asked a sensitive question.

Zhou Lan looked at Zhou Yun with a complex expression and did not answer directly.

Zhou Yun said: ”It seems Sister Lan, you, like me, are also unsure.”

”With something like this, how dare I be sure.” Zhou Lan laughed at herself, ”I originally thought I would fully trust my artist.”

”But no matter what, Huang Zicheng relies heavily on you. Now he’s suspected by many people, and only a few of us are around him. Before conclusive evidence comes out, we must stay by his side,” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Lan nodded.

On the fourth day after the incident, Jin Lin finally came to the set to shoot.

Tan Yuanyang personally brought Jin Lin over and even apologized to Kang Xin in person, saying, ”Director, sorry, these past few days have delayed the filming schedule, thank you for your understanding.”

Kang Xin shook his head and said it’s fine, asking: ”How is Jin Lin’s mood now? Actually, this matter is not a big deal, but she’s too young and her ability to withstand pressure is a bit weak, you should talk to her more.”

”Yes.” Tan Yuanyang nodded, ”She’s quite strong. I originally wanted her to rest a few more days. Because of the online attacks these two days, she couldn’t sleep and kept checking online, which upset her. But she said she didn’t want to delay the filming schedule any more, insisted on coming to shoot, and said being on set and filming could help her distract herself.”

”Hmm.” Kang Xin nodded, ”It truly is like that, staying in the hotel alone is not good, a person can overthink easily, while on set, with so many people, talking to her can change her mood a lot.”
