Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1178: Chapter 653: News About ”Chinese Warrior” (2)

Zhou Yun attended this commercial banquet alone.

She spent the entire afternoon fussing over her styling and outfit, so much so that Zhou Yun didn’t dare eat anything. As soon as she went inside and smelled the milky aroma of the pastries, her appetite was immediately piqued.

Too hungry.

Zheng Xiaojue followed beside Zhou Yun. Seeing that as soon as Zhou Yun entered, her eyes wandered to the pastry table, she whispered, ”Sister Xiao Yun, why don’t we get you something to eat?”

Earlier before they left, Zheng Xiaojue had advised Zhou Yun to have a little something to tide her over.

But Zhou Yun was wearing this dress today that particularly accentuated her figure, and for the sake of beauty, she resolutely didn’t eat a bite.

Now, tempted by Zheng Xiaojue, Zhou Yun took a deep breath but still firmly upheld her resolution, ”No, I can’t eat, absolutely can’t eat.”

”What can’t you absolutely eat?” A familiar voice suddenly sounded behind them.

Zhou Yun paused for a moment upon hearing this voice, turned around, and saw Wen Xi and her man.

”Wen Xi!” Zhou Yun exclaimed in surprise, ”You came too!”

Today, Wen Xi was also dressed stunningly. Being a model, she stood out in the crowd.

She didn’t know Wen Xi would be coming tonight as well.

Wen Xi said, ”I am the spokesperson for the brand organizing this banquet in the Asia Pacific, so I received an invitation as well.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

She glanced at Jiang Yicheng, who stood silently smiling beside Wen Xi, and said, ”Mr. Jiang, good evening.”

Jiang Yicheng politely called her Miss Zhou.

Measured.

Zhou Yun, holding Wen Xi’s hand, quietly asked, ”Wen Xi, you bringing your husband to this event today, wouldn’t the media take a lot of pictures? If these photos are seen by the media back home and circulate, everyone will know about you and him.”

Wen Xi replied openly, ”It’s no problem, if they take pictures, they take pictures. We can just admit it. We’ve discussed this and feel there’s no need to hide it.”

At a point in a model’s career like Wen Xi’s, dating news doesn’t affect her at all.

After all, she doesn’t rely on fans for her livelihood.

Of course, Wen Xi’s fans are another matter.

She has a large group of loyal fans back home. When fan numbers reach a certain level, no brand can ignore that power.

The so-called—power of money.

Zhou Yun marveled at Wen Xi’s open-mindedness but admired her generous attitude even more.

In any case, seeing a friend from back home in a place mostly filled with blonde-haired and blue-eyed people always brings comfort.

Many people proactively came to greet Zhou Yun and Wen Xi.

The two of them might be the most well-known artists in the United States from recent years.

Especially Wen Xi.

She had spent about seven or eight years working in the United States, with her focus entirely here.

This is related to the nature of the industry; if you want to reach the pinnacle in modeling, you can only come to Europe and America.

To be honest, the fashion industry in China has developed for too short a time and inherently lacks influence, unable to support models; local models, if they don’t gain international experience, are basically not recognized by the fashion industry.

Wen Xi knows many people.

Zhou Yun, though she really wanted to stay with Wen Xi, found it obviously unrealistic. Many people came to talk to her, and even more went to Wen Xi for photos. Helplessly, Zhou Yun eventually had to part ways with Wen Xi.

This commercial banquet itself is a place of fame and fortune.

It’s not just people from the film and television industry; here, you meet elites from all walks of life.

Zhou Yun did not expect to meet Cristina again.

Cristina warmly hugged Zhou Yun, giving her quite a scare.

”Hi, Yun!” Cristina greeted Zhou Yun with delight, ”We finally meet again! I watched your series yesterday, it’s amazing! Really well done!”

Zhou Yun looked at Cristina in surprise and said, ”Wow, you...”

She glanced up and down at Cristina, saying, ”How did you lose so much weight?”

Now, Cristina wasn’t just thinner; it even made Zhou Yun feel a little unhealthy.

If it weren’t for Cristina’s genuinely good state, Zhou Yun would have thought she might be up to something illegal.

Cristina shook her head and said, ”I’m preparing for a role in the next movie where I need to play a female prisoner who must be especially thin, even unhealthily so.”
