Chapter 1188: Chapter 656: Zhou Yun and Gu Huaichun

Zhou Yun slept in.

When she opened her eyes and woke up, she happened to see a ray of sunlight filtering through the gap in the curtains.

Having a sunny day in the middle of winter was a rare occurrence, and Zhou Yun was pleasantly surprised.

Zhou Yun stretched lazily on the bed and yawned again.

People who like to linger in bed know how intense this feeling of happiness is.

She had an afternoon flight to Berlin today and nothing to do in the morning, so she could relax in the warm hotel.

However, Zhou Lan seemed very unwilling to see Zhou Yun enjoy herself so much. Zhou Yun had barely opened her eyes for five minutes when Zhou Lan came knocking.

Wearing pajamas, Zhou Yun opened the door with an accusing look and stared at Zhou Lan, clearly annoyed.

Zhou Lan, holding an iPad, said, ”Don’t complain about me waking you up, something’s happened.”

Zhou Lan’s serious expression gave Zhou Yun a start.

”Something happened? What happened?” Zhou Yun’s drowsiness faded significantly.

Zhou Lan walked into the room, iPad in hand, and said to Zhou Yun, ”Half an hour ago, an actress named Xu Qin, who had acted together with Gu Huaichun, accused him on her Weibo of deceiving her and playing with her emotions, writing extensively about it, and it also involves you.”

Zhou Yun’s eyes widened in shock.

”What did you say?”

Zhou Lan handed the iPad to Zhou Yun, ”Take a look for yourself first.”

Zhou Yun took the iPad, and the screen showed a long Weibo post published half an hour ago by this actress named Xu Qin.

She said that while filming the drama with Gu Huaichun, he actively approached her, showed kindness, gave her small gifts, and took her out to dinner. Under Gu Huaichun’s pursuit, she developed feelings for him too.

The two started dating on set until the filming ended.

What Xu Qin didn’t expect was that after the filming ended, Gu Huaichun suddenly turned cold.

She sent him messages, but he didn’t reply; she called, but he didn’t answer.

Xu Qin realized she’d been deceived. She said she would have let it go had it just been her own mistake, but she inadvertently learned that Gu Huaichun had deceived other young women in many crews, including Zhou Yun from ”Eighth Heartbeat.” Everyone kept quiet for their reputation, and no one ever exposed this. Xu Qin said she didn’t want more girls to be deceived by Gu Huaichun, so she decided to come forward.

...

After reading Xu Qin’s long post, the last traces of drowsiness in Zhou Yun’s mind vanished.

”What do you think?” Zhou Lan asked.

”What do you mean, what do I think?” Zhou Yun retorted.

Zhou Lan said, ”Do you think what Xu Qin says is true or false?”

Actually, Zhou Yun didn’t dare say that her first reaction upon seeing Xu Qin’s Weibo post was recalling that when she shot ”Eighth Heartbeat,” Gu Huaichun’s room was right next to hers. She could hear sounds almost every night, it was simply debauchery.

”If you say something happened between Gu Huaichun and Xu Qin, I believe it. If you say Gu Huaichun intentionally deceived her, I don’t quite believe it,” Zhou Yun said, ”I’ve known him for a long time; I know what kind of person he is. He’s quite indulgent in relationships but wouldn’t turn his back on someone he knows. If it weren’t consensual, he wouldn’t cause himself this trouble. My guess is Gu Huaichun didn’t handle things well and offended someone.”

Zhou Lan said, ”There are indeed some rumors about Gu Huaichun in the industry.”

”Rumors about what?” Zhou Yun said, ”Gu Huaichun messing around? That doesn’t need rumors; I know it’s true. Do you remember when I was filming ’Eighth Heartbeat,’ I told you about these things?”

Zhou Lan suddenly remembered.

She burst out laughing.

Zhou Yun said, ”But he never claims to be someone pure or sets up such an image. He’s told me he’s most afraid of emotional troubles, so every time if something’s about to happen with the people around him, he’ll definitely make things clear in advance to avoid trouble.”

Zhou Lan said, ”Matters involving two people are private, so it’s hard to say clearly, but Xiao Yun, none of this matters now. The most important issue for us now is Xu Qin’s claim in her statement that you were also deceived by Gu Huaichun, which she asserted confidently. Although I know it didn’t happen, I still have to ask you once specifically, did nothing really happen between you and Gu Huaichun?”
