Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1185: Chapter 655: International Grand Prize (Part 3)

Zhou Lan heard Zhou Yun say that and couldn’t help but sigh.

”Alright, if you put it that way, then yes.” Zhou Lan said, ”I will control my attitude.”

In Europe and America, there are actually many top luxury goods, or rather, things that originally weren’t luxury items but have become top brands through the accumulation of time and history.

Zhou Yun still remembered how Zheng Xiaowen introduced the VX brand back then.

This was a brand she independently created in Europe as a Chinese person, even though later on, European capital invested and bought shares, the whole brand itself is designed and controlled by Zheng Xiaowen.

Zhou Yun has always been looking forward to Zheng Xiaowen turning VX into a remarkable brand, one recognized worldwide, making people all over the world want to wear VX.

She knew this dream was difficult to achieve, and perhaps it shouldn’t even be her dream.

However... many times, she is prone to such immersion, such impulses.

Zhou Yun felt she was quite magical, always telling herself to manage her own patch of land, not to meddle in other people’s business, yet often couldn’t resist wanting to get involved, even wanting to work hard for others to fulfill their dreams.

Zhou Yun also realized that this kind of thinking was a bit naive.

Others may not necessarily want you to work hard for their dreams.

Those are other people’s dreams.

Zhou Yun advised herself inwardly to restrain such thoughts.

Zhou Lan said: ”Additionally, at the Berlin International Film Festival, we not only participate in the opening ceremony’s red carpet but also have a brand endorsement event to attend.”

”It’s a shame there are no Chinese-language films in the main competition unit this time,” Zhou Yun said.

”’Zhongshan’ was selected for the special screening segment.” Zhou Lan said, ”The production side knows you’ll be attending the opening ceremony and asked me if you could attend their premiere?”

”’Zhongshan’?”

”Yes, the film’s director is Qin Sang, a new director, but the producer is Jing Dongtian, with Wei Ming and Yu Xia starring.” Zhou Lan said, ”I heard that during the film’s planning, it was quite difficult. The director is very young, initially couldn’t find investment, and couldn’t afford actors. It was Jing Dongtian who saw the script and felt the director was worth helping, so he helped secure funding at a venture meeting, assisting in the film’s production and also invited Wei Ming and Yu Xia to act.”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and asked, ”Then when is this movie premiering?”

Zhou Lan said, ”On the fourth day after the opening ceremony.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Do I have work in the United States during that time?”

”No, if you had work, I would have just pushed it directly and wouldn’t be asking you.” Zhou Lan said, ”Since they’ve taken the initiative to find us, and they’re all cinema people, they’ve worked so hard to step onto such a good film festival platform, we can support them.”

Zhou Yun agreed with a nod, saying, ”You’re right, that’s how it should be.”

Suddenly she thought of something, ”What about Xiao Jing? Should she join us?”

Zhou Lan said, ”I’m planning to bring Xiao Jing along, I really hope she can appear more in international occasions.”

”Hmm.”

After finishing the work talk, Zhou Lan stretched lazily.

”Recently, I’ve been exhausted, there’s so much work to handle.” Zhou Lan said, ”I think I need to hire an assistant.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I’ve thought that for a long time, your everyday affairs really require an assistant to help you.”

”I haven’t found the right person, right now I have to manage five artists, dealing with very important matters every day. Without the right person, I don’t dare let them touch the work in my hands.” Zhou Lan said, ”Xiao Jing’s assistant is also having issues, and I have to find her a new assistant.”

”Hmm? What happened to her assistant?”

Zhou Lan said helplessly, ”Xiao Jing found out her assistant stole her things.”

”What?” Zhou Yun exclaimed in surprise, ”What did they steal?”

”Jewelry.” Zhou Lan said, ”Also, many clothes from brands, her assistant secretly kept them and sold them online.”

Zhou Yun found it unbelievable.

She did not expect such a thing to happen.

Zhou Lan: ”It’s really troublesome, there’s no choice, I’m still helping Xiao Jing find a new assistant.”

”Alright then.”

Assistants are very important to artists, in all aspects, they’re a person who needs to be chosen with caution.
