Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1190: Chapter 656: Zhou Yun and Gu Huaichun_3

”Originally, it was just a one-night stand, but she clung to me, insisting that I take responsibility. I refused, clearly stating beforehand that it was a one-time thing, consensual on both sides. She was quite proactive herself, and later she threatened to expose our relationship,” Gu Huaichun said helplessly.

Zhou Yun thought, sure enough.

It was Gu Huaichun who didn’t handle the relationship well.

Zhou Yun said, ”Now she’s already posted on Weibo, accusing you of toying with her feelings, and she holds photos of you two in bed. What do you plan to do?”

Gu Huaichun said, ”What can I do? If it really comes down to it, I won’t act anymore rather than yield to such a person! I’m telling you, my biggest regret now is not having her sign a pledge before we went to bed!”

”...”

Zhou Yun felt that Gu Huaichun deserved it, for messing around.

She found Gu Huaichun’s behavior repulsive, yet she was also furious at Xu Qin’s approach.

No matter how wrong Gu Huaichun was, at least he was single and had made everything clear beforehand.

”Wait, I want to ask you, how did she say I also get fooled by you?” Zhou Yun asked, ”Couldn’t it be you bragging while in bed?”

Gu Huaichun flared up: ”Zhou Yun, am I the type to brag like that? She deliberately dragged someone everyone knows into this to make others believe her, and I almost cursed her for being insane.”

”Alright, as long as it’s not you bragging and misleading her, we’re good.” Zhou Yun felt relieved, ”Handle this matter well. I’m currently abroad. If you need my help, just call me directly.”

Gu Huaichun said, ”Thanks, right now I don’t know what to do. My agent is checking all my chat records and call logs with her. Later, someone will come to take my statement... a statement, making me feel like a criminal.”

”Gu Huaichun, facing such situations, don’t be impatient. If not handled well, it will affect many people, especially you,” Zhou Yun said. ”I trust you, and I’m sure the people around you trust you too. But the public might not, so be mentally prepared. No matter what, you must persist, and if you haven’t done something, you haven’t done it. There’s no need to be scared if you’re not guilty.”

Gu Huaichun laughed.

”Zhou Yun, you’re mistaken.”

”Hmm?”

”You trust me, but the people around me might not,” Gu Huaichun said. ”You’re the first to tell me you trust me so quickly and firmly.”

”That’s because your friends are all asleep now; it’s midnight. I’m abroad where it’s morning,” Zhou Yun said. ”I don’t know about others, but I’m sure Yin Zhou trusts you like I do.”

Gu Huaichun: ”He’s going to be a dad; let’s not involve him in my affairs. Yes, I need to tell him not to recklessly speak for me online.”

After hanging up the phone, Zhou Yun finally put away her smile.

She wasn’t actually optimistic about this matter, but she wanted Gu Huaichun to feel her support, hoping it could ease his mood.

Zhou Lan looked at Zhou Yun helplessly and said, ”You really have no words when it comes to your friends. But Xiao Yun, aren’t you worried that just in case—”

”If something happens, it happens. There’s always a chance, but my true friends are few, and those whom I trust are even fewer. When they need me to trust them, I must trust them,” Zhou Yun said. ”I haven’t said Xu Qin is lying or anything else about her, I just expressed my support for my friend.”

”Alright, got it,” Zhou Lan said. ”Gather yourself and have some breakfast first. Your mood shouldn’t be affected; you’re about to walk the red carpet and face global media scrutiny, so you can’t be in a bad state.”

Zhou Yun laughed.

”I know.”

Only Zhou Lan would still be concerned about her upcoming red carpet event and her state.

Zhou Yun kept an eye on Gu Huaichun’s matter, occasionally logging into Weibo to check the latest updates.

But it’s midnight in China, no matter how big the news is, it has to lie dormant while everyone sleeps.

There weren’t many new developments.

Ironically, when she arrived at the airport, she encountered several Chinese people discussing the situation.
