Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1179: Chapter 653: News About ”Chinese Warrior” (3)

Zhou Yun realized what it was.

”Is it the Atonement you mentioned last time?”

”Yes.” Cristina seemed particularly happy, she said, ”I really love this role, the more I read this script, the more I’m drawn in. I’ve never played a woman who has such an optimistic spirit despite being in a terrible situation.”

Zhou Yun smiled, saying, ”I can tell from how you look now that you really love this role.”

Cristina nodded and said, ”It’s worth offending Gediyah for this film.”

Zhou Yun asked curiously, ”By the way, since the last disagreement between Gediyah and Elizabeth, have the two of them made up?”

”How could they possibly make up?” Cristina shook her head immediately, saying, ”I guess these two will never reconcile.”

Zhou Yun thought, what Gediyah did was indeed pretty serious. Unless Elizabeth breaks up with Daniel one day.

That might be for the best.

Zhou Yun really disliked Gediyah and worried that if Elizabeth and Gediyah reconciled, she would also have to deal with Gediyah.

”But, Elizabeth hasn’t been doing well lately, because she didn’t speak carefully before and said Gediyah is very scheming, and got scolded by Gediyah’s fans for a long time.” Cristina sighed helplessly and said, ”Elizabeth was probably too angry, to the point of saying such things when questioned by reporters. Elizabeth never used to directly say bad things about others in the media. Anyway, the issue has been going on for a long time, and after all this, I guess the two of them can’t possibly reconcile.”

Zhou Yun didn’t even know that this happened.

When she’s filming in China, she rarely pays attention to the dynamics of the foreign entertainment industry.

Thinking about it, this incident must have caused quite a stir in the United States, and she hadn’t even heard about it.

Zhou Yun said, ”Lucky you told me about this, I had no idea.”

Cristina winked at her, saying, ”I guessed you wouldn’t know.”

”Oh, right, there’s something else, I’m afraid I’ll forget to tell you.” Cristina said, ”I heard that Gediyah might be acting in Chinese Warrior.”

”What?” Zhou Yun was shocked, ”Really?”

”I don’t know if it’s true, I just heard about it.”

”But isn’t Chinese Warrior supposed to have a full Chinese cast?” Zhou Yun was puzzled.

”Apparently, she’s playing a big villain.” Cristina said, ”Even though this movie has nothing to do with you, I still thought I’d let you know.”

This news cast a cloud over Zhou Yun’s mood.

Maybe it’s just that I can’t stand Gediyah doing well.

This was how Zhou Yun analyzed her own mindset.

She knew that no matter the reputation, a big film like Chinese Warrior, as long as it’s not messed up, with reliance on Paimon’s global distribution power, especially in China, which is such a huge market, the box office results are sure not to be bad.

Even though Zhou Yun didn’t act in Chinese Warrior, she is still concerned about how such a Chinese-themed big movie will do, and even hopes it will perform well.

However, an actor like Gediyah, who discriminates against Chinese people, joining a film with a Chinese cultural background, was something Zhou Yun couldn’t accept.

Zhou Yun soon met He Wenyun.

Nowadays, at various events, He Wenyun’s presence seems to be everywhere.

No matter where you go, you seem to run into her.

But He Wenyun was currently in a period of promotion.

In that film directed by Spielberg, she played a role that left a lasting impression on many people.

Not the lead, but she made a deep impression on everyone.

The first thing Zhou Yun did when she saw He Wenyun was to ask her about the news of Gediyah joining Chinese Warrior.

He Wenyun was a bit surprised that Zhou Yun brought up Chinese Warrior, a movie that neither of them had ever even mentioned before.

She said, ”I heard something like that, but there hasn’t been an official announcement yet. I don’t know if it will really happen, maybe they’re just negotiating.”

Zhou Yun, however, did not let her guard down.

Since He Wenyun had heard this news, it must mean that there was some indication for people to say such a thing.

She said, ”But Gediyah doesn’t like Asians and is racially discriminatory, did you know about this?”

He Wenyun lightly bit her lip, showing a look of hesitation, and after a slight pause, she said, ”I’ve heard about it.”

Seeing He Wenyun like this, Zhou Yun guessed her predicament.

If Paimon wants Gediyah to act in Chinese Warrior, He Wenyun, being the female lead chosen by Paimon, really can’t say much.

He Wenyun was able to star in Chinese Warrior entirely because of Paimon’s favor towards her.

If it weren’t for Paimon’s selection, who would have thought that a newcomer like her could star in such a big production?

So Zhou Yun stopped the conversation and didn’t say any more.
