Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1171: Chapter 651: Event

Recently, Shi Luoqi has been very busy, probably the busiest since she started her career.

The PR for ”Behind the Scenes” has entered the most intense phase.

”Falling Leaves” has received positive reviews at the independent film festival and is currently in talks with various companies to determine the distributors for the future.

In addition, there’s a new film that’s about to start shooting, and she needs to coordinate with the production company, director, actors, makeup and costume department, cinematography, and a variety of people.

Despite this, Shi Luoqi still took time out tonight to meet Zhou Yun at the hotel.

As soon as they met, Shi Luoqi presented the gift she brought, a pair of earrings.

She said, ”I saw these in a market in Greece a month ago. At that time, I thought they were very suitable for you, so I bought them. It’s just right that I have an opportunity to give them to you today.”

Zhou Yun accepted the gift and said, ”Thank you, Sister Luo Qi, I didn’t prepare a gift for you.”

”It’s okay, there’s no need for you to immediately give me something because I gave you a gift,” Shi Luoqi said. ”I bought it because I thought it would look good on you. Did you shoot an ad the whole day today?”

”Yes.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”Sister Lan got me a new endorsement.”

Shi Luoqi said, ”That’s great, it’s Rogel, right?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Shi Luoqi: ”If I remember correctly, this is just the second time Rogel has used an Asian as a global ambassador. Their previous ambassadors were mostly European and American celebrities, and the last one was that Korean movie queen from Cannes.”

”Mainly because the Asian market is huge now, and they’ll definitely use more Asian celebrities in the future.”

Actually, whether in the film industry or luxury brands, there is increasing emphasis on the Asian market nowadays.

Zhou Yun clearly understands why these brands value her.

Unless her influence truly covers the entire world and she has international influence, otherwise, at her current stage, all brands giving her the global ambassador title are targeting the Asian market, and without the global ambassador title, they can’t settle with Zhou Yun.

Zhou Lan now is well aware that among the younger generation, no one can compare with Zhou Yun, leading to no competition in the ambassador market. So when brands ask Zhou Yun to be an ambassador, the usual titles and low pay are unacceptable. Now, Zhou Lan basically doesn’t accept mass-market endorsements for Zhou Yun anymore, not matching Zhou Yun’s status; only those brands with consistently good audience ratings might renew the contract after discussing it with Zhou Yun.

Currently, Zhou Yun maintains about twenty endorsements.

This number is controlled intentionally by Zhou Lan.

The main reason is that in the Chinese market, Zhou Yun almost has no rivals, while the markets in Korea and Japan do not compare with China’s market potential.

So, many major European and American brands, when they want to expand into the Asian market and think of hiring Asian celebrities as ambassadors, Zhou Yun is the first that comes to mind.

After Zhou Yun was nominated for the Golden Ball Best Actress, this trend became even more pronounced.

Many brands now have high hopes for her future development, especially with a big production like ”Killing Song” coming up. If this film achieves high global box office revenues, Zhou Yun’s recognition and influence will experience explosive growth.

In summary, due to various unique reasons, Zhou Yun hasn’t yet achieved genuine international fame and influence, but in many aspects, brands have no choice but to offer conditions that exceed what her current position can typically command to secure her.

Zhou Yun invited Shi Luoqi to her room.

There was also wine given to her by the hotel in her room.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Sister Luo Qi, would you like to have a drink together?”

Shi Luoqi nodded and smiled, saying sure.

Zhou Yun opened the wine bottle, took out two glasses, and poured the wine into them.

Shi Luoqi asked, ”Did ’Chen Yin’ wrap up smoothly?”

”Yes.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”It wrapped up smoothly, although there were some hiccups in the middle, but it was completed in the end.”

”It’s good that it’s completed; setbacks are inevitable,” Shi Luoqi joked. ”Now when I make a movie, if nothing happens during the process, I feel uneasy, as if there’s a bigger issue awaiting me later on.”

”When we were shooting ’Falling Leaves,’ Luo Zhiheng suddenly got injured, causing our film to halt. Sister Luo Qi, were you anxious at that time?”
