Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1193: Chapter 656: Zhou Yun and Gu Huaichun_6

Lin Yutang took out his phone and opened a summary image probably made by a fan, showing it to Zhou Yun, saying: ”Look, they say Gu Huaichun not only clarifies things beforehand but doesn’t turn against people afterward. She even helps introduce some opportunities to them. The key point is that one of Xu Qin’s close friends released Xu Qin’s chat records with her, revealing in those records that Gu Huaichun didn’t deceive Xu Qin at all. Xu Qin was aware of everything from the beginning. Xu Qin just wanted to keep Gu Huaichun by her side, so she staged this whole threat and exposure drama to force Gu Huaichun to stay with her.”

Zhou Yun was astonished.

”Heavens.”

”Yuehai probably exerted quite a bit of effort behind the scenes for this,” Lin Yutang said, ”Being able to get Xu Qin’s close friend on board to obtain those chat records is pretty ruthless.”

Although Zhou Yun didn’t know how Yuehai managed this, it seemingly boiled down to either coercion or bribery.

Gu Huaichun’s trouble seemed to be resolved faster than Zhou Yun had imagined, and the incident earned Zhou Yun admiration from many—after all, when this incident happened, Zhou Yun was the only celebrity to publicly say online that it was just Xu Qin’s side of the story, urging everyone to wait for Gu Huaichun’s response.

Zhou Yun’s stance even got a like from Yao Yuanfeng, who commented on Weibo that Zhou Yun had the spirit of a heroine, just as expected from an actress in ”Four Killers.”

Zhou Yun rolled her eyes upon seeing Yao Yuanfeng’s Weibo post.

This situation allowed him to hitch a ride on the buzz and promote ”Four Killers.”

Yet, the film’s post-production isn’t finished? There’s still no news of its release.

Upon checking WeChat, wow, there were so many messages sent to her.

Zhou Yun couldn’t reply to everyone individually as she was about to walk the red carpet.

When she donned a VX gown and stepped onto the red carpet, the cheers of the surrounding crowd surged like waves.

Zhou Yun waved to greet everyone.

This time, she walked the red carpet alone, without the company of any crew members.

The red carpet wasn’t actually very long, quite short, yet it left a lengthy impression, as if one could walk on it forever.

Others passed by occasionally as well.

Zhou Yun remembered to highlight the jewelry she was wearing in certain poses, as it was the highlight of her day.

She had to fulfill her duties as a spokesperson.

After completing the red carpet, Zhou Yun had accomplished her task.

All that remained was to participate in an interview afterward.

Zhou Yun entered the film palace.

She hardly recognized anyone.

Fortunately, many knew her and proactively approached to greet and converse with her.

Through this, Zhou Yun met some people.

After a while, Jing Dongtian entered with Qin Zhong, Wei Ming, and Yu Xia.

Seeing familiar faces, Zhou Yun quickly went over to greet them.

”Teacher Jing, Brother Ming, Sister Xia.” Zhou Yun greeted the three she knew first, before her gaze landed on the young man among the four.

He must be Qin Zhong, the director of ”Zhongshan.”

”Xiao Yun, let me introduce you, he is Qin Zhong, the director of ’Zhongshan.’ Qin Zhong, this is Zhou Yun.”

Qin Zhong’s face looked slightly youthful and displayed a visibly shy expression upon seeing Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun had to be a little enthusiastic herself, saying: ”Hello, Director. I’m Zhou Yun. Let me introduce myself; I’m a good actress. Remember to call me for your projects in the future.”

Zhou Yun’s proactive approach left Qin Zhong momentarily stunned.

Wei Ming chuckled, ”Now I understand why Xiao Yun gets to act in so many great films. I should learn this introduction method.”

Zhou Yun beamed brightly.

Many came up to Zhou Yun to chat, including some producers and directors from Korea and Japan.

Compared to films from Europe and America, Korean and Japanese films share more similarities with Chinese films in their essence.

Moreover, Zhou Yun was quite well-known in Korea.

Several producers she encountered mentioned films they were preparing and wanted her to star in them.

Zhou Yun smiled and agreed, promising to review the scripts before making a decision.

Zhou Yun was inclined to collaborate with directors from other countries to broaden her perspectives and expand her acting style.

Any accomplished actor understands the value of seeking collaboration with great directors, as different directors can unearth diverse facets of an actor’s talent.

Furthermore, films from varied countries have varied cultural backdrops, which Zhou Yun finds interesting, or perhaps it’s an interest in characters shaped by such backgrounds.

A good performance inherently involves becoming that role.
