Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 865: Chapter 550: Returning Home

”Behind the Scenes” received positive reviews at the screening and was covered by a number of mainstream film media outlets in the United States.

After the screening, Zhou Yun gave many media interviews and recorded two interview programs arranged by Paimon.

After recording the second interview program, Zhou Yun prepared to return home.

She returned to the rest room prepared for her by the TV station and pushed open the door.

Song Chi was sitting on the sofa reading an English magazine.

Zhou Yun said, ”Finally finished recording, I can go back.”

Song Chi put down the magazine, looked up at her with a smile, and said, ”Do we need to hold a celebration party when we go back?”

Zhou Yun: ”Does it have to be that high-profile?”

Song Chi smiled and said, ”What do you mean by high-profile? It’s perfectly normal to hold a celebration party after achieving good results.”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”Forget it, it’s too conspicuous, as if we’re afraid others won’t know ’Behind the Scenes’ got good reviews in the United States.”

Song Chi said, ”If you don’t want to do it, Sister Luo Qi and the others will still hold one, especially the people from the Film Association and film department will certainly want to hold one. In recent years, our country has seen many Chinese-language films widely praised internationally, and now that one has finally appeared, surely they want to promote it heavily.”

”It’s their business if they hold one, I can’t possibly be the one to take the initiative.” Zhou Yun picked up her bag and said, ”You took leave to come out these two days, is there really no problem with the crew?”

”No problem, arrangements have been made and coordinated with them.” Song Chi said, ”You were alone in the United States, I wasn’t at ease.”

”I’m not alone; so many people are here.” Zhou Yun said, ”It’s been three or four days, and they haven’t found Vinktor yet, he’s really hard to catch.”

Song Chi frowned upon hearing this.

”Just an ordinary person, how could it be impossible to catch him after so long?” Song Chi said, ”The more this happens, the more I feel your previous suspicions might be true.”

The two left the TV station and went back to the hotel.

Packing up things, they prepared to return home.

When they packed their luggage and headed downstairs, suddenly, Bruce from Paimon walked toward them briskly.

Zhou Yun looked at him somewhat surprised, not expecting he would appear here.

Bruce showed a bright smile to Zhou Yun and said, ”Just in time.”

”Mr. Bruce, what brings you here in such a hurry to see me?” Zhou Yun asked.

Bruce nodded and said, ”You’re about to return to China, and I represent Paimon to express our gratitude. It’s been hard on you; you’ve made a huge contribution to the promotion of ’Behind the Scenes’.

Upon hearing Bruce’s words, Zhou Yun felt a bit complicated.

Although she knew Bruce probably did not mean it that way, to Zhou Yun, Bruce’s words seemed like he was thanking her for the previous incidents that drew unprecedented attention to her and the movie ”Behind the Scenes”.

”You’ve worked hard too, being busy all along.”

Bruce said, ”The film’s reputation is excellent, many cinemas are now willing to screen it, and we are preparing to directly expand the screening scale.”

Zhou Yun said, ”That’s a good thing.”

In fact, Zhou Yun guessed that Paimon probably didn’t want to miss this wave of popularity and hoped ”Behind the Scenes” would attract more audiences to the cinemas while the iron is hot.

Bruce nodded, looking quite excited like one with good news to share.

He said, ”I heard that the films you’ve acted in attracted good box office in China, it seems this time such fortune will extend to us in the United States.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

”Actually, ’Life’ also did quite well in terms of U.S. box office, fetching over three million, quite rare for a non-English art film. More importantly, it did great in DVD sales and rentals, and online streaming also saw good performance with high audience ratings.” Bruce said, ”Looking back, it’s a pity if we had been responsible for its distribution, the box office could have been higher.”

Zhou Yun didn’t respond to this.

At this moment, Song Chi suddenly spoke, ”We need to head off, otherwise we’ll miss the flight.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said to Bruce, ”Mr. Bruce, thank you for seeing me off today, but I’m pressed for time now and need to go to the airport.”

Bruce saw them off to the car before leaving.

After Zhou Yun and Song Chi got in the car, they exchanged a smiling glance.
