Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 739: Chapter 506: Between Friends

On the plane, Zhou Yun and Song Chi watched a drama together, a domestic drama called ”Hidden”.

Both Zhou Yun and Song Chi were watching it for the second time, yet they still wanted to watch. This spy drama was the pinnacle of spy dramas in their minds, whether it was the script, the acting, or the directorial artistry.

Zhou Yun whispered, ”If this TV drama were to be remade, I would definitely volunteer enthusiastically, hoping to act in it with you.”

Upon hearing this, Song Chi smiled and said, ”A remake might be difficult, but if there’s a suitable spy drama script, we could act in it together.”

”Movies like ’Wind Sound’ are also possible.”

”’Wind Sound’ I heard was going to be remade, but there have been no substantial moves yet,” Song Chi said, ”I’ve also been wanting to film a spy movie, but haven’t come across a good script yet.”

Zhou Yun: ”Yes, there are too few good spy drama scripts, the ones that come to me have already been heavily filtered by my team, but they still turn out to be quite mundane, mostly similar plots.”

”’Hidden’ is just classic.”

Zhou Lan was sitting behind them, originally reading a book, and felt somewhat moved by their quiet exchange.

These two could come together, and it wasn’t just about being of the same mind; they had so many common topics to talk about.

But hearing their conversation, Zhou Lan was indeed contemplating the possibilities for their next collaboration.

Previously, Zhou Lan did not want the two to be paired too frequently, to avoid being tied together too tightly, but considering the past year of Zhou Yun and Song Chi, they generally did not like to show affection in public, rarely appeared together, and interacted minimally, almost every joint appearance caused much public discussion—’Heart Inquiry’ had already finished airing, and there were no plans for their next collaboration, so it was time to look for a suitable project.

Zhou Lan thought that it might be either a film or a TV drama, of course, the former being better as the shooting time is shorter, it would be easier to coordinate their already tight schedules, and the difficulty would be smaller. Moreover, both had achieved remarkable success in the film industry, potentially creating a ”1+1>2” effect.

When they arrived in Shanghai, it was early morning.

At this time, quite a number of media had rushed to the scene.

They carried long and short cameras, capturing the first-hand videos and photos of their return to the country, sending out push notifications and reporting the news.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi greeted them and waved their hands.

The media present gave them thumbs up.

”Proud!” someone said.

Zhou Yun laughed and shook his head, saying, ”I don’t deserve it.”

The airport staff picked them up and took them back home.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi were actually quite sleepy, but they had to adjust to the time difference and didn’t allow themselves to sleep, continuing to watch ”Hidden”.

Halfway through, they still couldn’t help but fall asleep out of exhaustion.

If it hadn’t been for Zhou Yun’s phone suddenly ringing, they might have slept until evening.

The call was from Gu Huaichun.

Zhou Yun opened her eyes, answered the phone with a displeased tone, ”What is it?”

”Yo, sleeping in the middle of the day?”

”Big brother, I just landed early this morning, okay?” Zhou Yun said.

”Alright, it seems I disturbed you.”

”Get to the point.” She didn’t want to hear Gu Huaichun’s rambling.

Gu Huaichun: ”Do me a favor.”

”Speak.”

”I have a good friend, he’s been working as a scriptwriter and director, and finally got a chance to do a program this time. He came to me, wanting to invite you to record this program,” Gu Huaichun asked, ”How about it? Can you record an episode?”

Zhou Yun said, ”What kind of program is it? Let’s talk about it later, I’m still dizzy.”

Gu Huaichun: ”How about we go out for dinner tonight? I’ll invite him over as well, and we can discuss it together.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Tonight? Well, let me think, okay, send me the address later, I’m going to rest a bit more.”

Gu Huaichun agreed.

But with this interruption, Zhou Yun regained consciousness and her reason told her she could not sleep anymore, or she would have trouble sleeping at night.

Zhou Yun called out, ”Song Chi.”

Song Chi responded with a grunt, as if to acknowledge.

”Don’t sleep anymore.”

Song Chi sighed and opened his eyes.

”How about we go out for a walk?” Zhou Yun suggested, ”Staying at home makes it easy to fall asleep.”

Song Chi replied, ”Should I accompany you on crutches?”

”Oh, right, you have difficulty with your legs, I was so muddled by sleep, I forgot about that,” Zhou Yun yawned and said, ”What about tonight then? Gu Huaichun called me, saying we should have a meal together, are you coming with me?”
