Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 720: Chapter 499: Poaching Talent (Part 3)

Lucia said, ”Actually, I have a collaboration that I’d like to talk to you about.”

”Collaboration?” Zhou Yun was somewhat surprised.

Lucia nodded, saying, ”Our JL has always been very keen to break into the Asian market, as you know, before this our JL’s main markets have been North America and Europe.”

Zhou Yun said with a smile, ”I am already the spokesperson for Blink.”

Lucia said, ”As far as I know, isn’t your endorsement contract with Blink about to expire soon?”

Luxury brands like Blink generally sign endorsement contracts on a yearly basis.

Zhou Yun’s endorsement contract with Blink was indeed nearing its expiry, but Zhou Lan had mentioned that Blink had a strong intention to renew the contract with her.

Of course, this was not surprising, given Zhou Yun’s status today, it was quite normal for Blink to want to renew the contract with her; it would be abnormal not to.

Lucia said, ”The brand value of our JL actually fits your image even more, and you becoming JL’s spokesperson would also be more conducive to enhancing your popularity. I know you’re already a very famous actress in Asia, but if you become JL’s spokesperson, our JL’s visibility in Europe and North America could also help you quickly become recognized by people in Europe and North America. We will host many events, inviting celebrities from all walks of life, and as our spokesperson, you will have access to many opportunities that are now beyond Blink’s provision.”

Zhou Yun chuckled and said, ”Ms. Lucia, I feel that now is actually not the right time to discuss this, don’t you think?”

Lucia nodded and said with a smile, ”You can consider it for now, I will contact you again later.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Song Chi finished exchanging pleasantries with others and came over, leaning on his crutch, and asked, ”What are you thinking about?”

Zhou Yun told Song Chi about what had just happened.

”It seems Lucia is looking to take a big juicy bite out of the Asian market as well,” Song Chi said, ”In Asia, Blink’s market share has always been pressing down on JL, and in recent years, our country’s economic growth has been very fast, becoming one of the most important markets in the world. No brand dares to ignore our market, JL wants to leverage your popularity to break into it.”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”You’ve also said it, there’s a big problem with that person, who knows when they might implode, better to be cautious.”

Song Chi smiled.

”But this also could be an opportunity,” Song Chi said, ”JL is trying to poach you; Blink should at least respond appropriately.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Let Sister Lan handle these things, I don’t really get involved.”

”Mhm.”

Yao Yuanfeng, who also came for the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, walked over with his wife.

”My two biggest sources of pride!” Yao Yuanfeng opened his arms, as effusively passionate as ever, ”I’m so pleased to see you! I just couldn’t imagine that ’Life’ would sell so well in Europe; today, someone was asking me for the rights to the subsequent showings.”

Zhou Yun said to Yao Yuanfeng, ”President Yao, since this film has made you so much money, don’t forget to send a big red envelope to Director Wen.”

Yao Yuanfeng said generously, ”Do I look like someone stingy? Your red envelopes have been prepared long ago! It’s just too bad that you have no idea how many places want you to do promotions, but your schedule is too packed.”

Zhou Yun: ”That’s because I’m busy with ’Four Killers.’”

Yao Yuanfeng chuckled and said, ”How’s the shooting going? My company has been monitoring the data for ’Four Killers,’ and the box office forecast looks good.”

Zhou Yun: ”Really? I don’t feel comfortable shooting it at all.”

Yao Yuanfeng was taken aback.

”Uncomfortable? Why? Is it because the injury is severe?”

”No,” Zhou Yun shook her head, ”Ah, never mind, President Yao, it’s not worth mentioning. It’s just that you talked to me before about turning ’Four Killers’ into a series, but count me out; I don’t want to shoot the second part. I’m really struggling with this film.”

Yao Yuanfeng looked like someone had thrown cold water on him.

”Ah, let’s talk about this later; it’s too soon to discuss it right now,” Yao Yuanfeng said.

Zhou Yun didn’t say anything further.

After attending the opening ceremony, Zhou Yun got a brief moment to rest.

Yao Yuanfeng held a small reception, inviting some friends from the film industry.

Given the relationship between Zhou Yun and Yao Yuanfeng, Zhou Yun was naturally bound to show her support, even though the next day, she had to attend a very important event - officially announcing her role as the spokesperson for Lizhou Cruise in the Asian Region.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi attended together, wearing a new outfit.

On the way, Zheng Xiaojue updated Zhou Yun on the domestic news about her.

”Sister Xiao Yun, your looks from these past couple of days have been widely shared online; everyone praises them as beautiful,” Zheng Xiaojue said, ”Especially the outfit from today’s red carpet, it has been highly praised by many media outlets.”
