Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 725: Chapter 501: An Unexpected Interruption

Not to mention, Song Chi himself has many friends in the international film industry, and many film companies know him and want to enter the Chinese market as much as possible, so they all invite him to attend premieres.

However, Song Chi has limited time, and another big celebrity, Zhou Yun, has returned to China for filming and is even busier. Following Shi Luoqi’s recommendations, You Jiang, Zeng Lili, and Wang Jing were all invited by some film companies.

In the following days, the main cast of ”Behind the Scenes” will receive a lot of exposure. Among the three, none are currently popular celebrities in the country; only Wang Jing is slightly more famous due to her association with Zhou Yun and the second part of ”Dark Sky”.

You Jiang and Zeng Lili haven’t been considered celebrities for a long time; they were not famous stars in their era, let alone now. But Shi Luoqi, having worked in film production for many years, has many connections and experiences. She managed quite a few media outlets and secured lots of coverage to ensure these promotions and exposures.

Then slowly relay these foreign media reports back to China.

You Jiang and Zeng Lili were introduced as palace-level actors of Chinese-language films, and Wang Jing was introduced as Zhou Yun’s equally talented younger apprentice.

Both introductions were obviously exaggerated.

But the foreign media, unfamiliar with them, used the information provided by Shi Luoqi exactly as given.

Shi Luoqi then used these foreign media endorsements to promote and market back in China, sparking a heated discussion domestically.

Whether acknowledged or not, the reality is that, to this day, many people still have a desire to be recognized internationally.

The opinions of foreign media, in the eyes of many, represent a higher level of endorsement.

This higher level is not because foreign media are superior to our own, but because they are media from another place, and their approval means our actors have impressed foreign media.

So, regardless of whether the public truly understands You Jiang and Zeng Lili, or their opinion on Wang Jing, once these foreign media reports reached domestically, many people gained a new respect for these three actors.

Invisibly, the cast of ”Behind the Scenes” changed from being solely dominated by Zhou Yun to being filled with skilled, illustrious stars.

This was actually Shi Luoqi’s intention.

As a producer, her main goal is to make a good film.

Publicity is a very crucial aspect, and with the rise of internet media over the years, its importance has grown even more.

Establishing a prestigious image is an indispensable step in publicity.

However, as more and more photos of You Jiang and the others attending other film premieres or events surfaced, gradually doubts emerged: Where had Zhou Yun gone?

Among the five Chinese cinema people attending the Cannes Film Festival, photos of activities involving Song Chi and the trio of You Jiang were occasionally seen, but after officially announcing her endorsement for Lizhou Cruise, Zhou Yun had disappeared.

One day, two days.

Finally, a trending search titled ”Where did Zhou Yun go?” appeared at the forefront of Weibo’s hot search list.

Domestic media contacted Chengqian Entertainment, and a spokesperson from Chengqian Entertainment replied: ”Zhou Yun is currently filming ’Four Killers’. After attending the opening ceremony at Cannes and the Lizhou Cruise event, she returned to China to continue filming.”

After this news was released by the media, many were astounded, shocked, and incredulous.

That was Cannes!

One of the most high-profile film festivals in the world!

Other actresses dream of attending, and you go there with a film competing in the main competition only to return to continue filming instead of taking the opportunity to maximize exposure?

Are you that dedicated?

At this time, the official Weibo of ”Four Killers” also posted a photo of Zhou Yun on set.

Seeing this photo, Zhou Yun’s fans all cried out in dismay under this Weibo post.

This event not only caused a huge shock to them, but even the likes ofApper Yi Linglin and others filming with her were puzzled.

Putting themselves in her shoes, they felt that if it were them, they would have asked for a longer break from the film crew, at least waiting until after their own movie’s premiere before returning.

This matter, they didn’t even dare to imply that Zhou Yun was just pretending.

No one dares to use this incident to feign dedication.

The sacrifice was too great.

Zhou Yun naturally noticed their puzzled looks. But Zhou Yun said nothing, acting as if nothing had happened, focusing on her own filming, aiming to finish as soon as possible. She didn’t want to waste time in this film crew.
