Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 738: Chapter 505: Goddess Returns Home (Part 3)

Song Chi took Zhou Yun’s hand in his, holding it in his palm, ”This trip was worth it.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”How about you? Did your work as a jury member go smoothly?”

”I argued with people quite a bit, but in the end, I managed to secure an award for the movie I liked,” Song Chi smiled. ”It’s not easy being a jury member, so of course, I have to make it count.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Of course, there’s no point in being a jury member if you’re going to play the peacemaker.”

Everybody had quite a bit to drink.

Happy.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi drunkenly returned to the hotel and slept until almost noon the next day.

If they didn’t get up soon, they would miss their flight back to China, so Zhou Lan had no choice but to go wake them up.

Zhou Yun covered her head and yawned.

”Quick, get up, pack your things, we’re heading back!” Even Zhou Lan’s urging was filled with joy, there was no need to ask – she must have made and received plenty of calls from yesterday to today.

Zhou Yun muttered, ”My head hurts a bit.”

”Who told you to drink so much last night? Of course it hurts,” Zhou Lan said. ”You’ll sober up on the plane.”

”...” Zhou Yun rolled her eyes.

Zhou Lan said, ”Hurry up, don’t dawdle, we still have to shoot after getting back, don’t miss the flight.”

”That can’t be, how long do we have?” she asked.

Just then, Song Chi had already changed his clothes and came over, ”Don’t worry about how long, just hurry up.”

Song Chi had come to hurry her along, so Zhou Yun stopped dawdling, yawned, and got up.

The sunshine was so good.

Leaving Cannes was a joyous return.

Zhou Yun wore sunglasses and a fisherman’s hat, dressed simply as she arrived at the airport.

It was the peak time for the celebrities who had come for the film festival to leave, and the airport was crowded with media and onlookers taking pictures.

Zhou Yun received a warmer welcome than when she had arrived.

At the airport, she also ran into Cristina.

”Darling, contact me when you come to Spain,” Cristina said enthusiastically. ”Congratulations again.”

Zhou Yun chatted with her for a while, took a photo together at the airport, and said goodbye.

”Are you Zhou Yun?” Suddenly, a somewhat arrogant voice rang out from behind her.

Surprised, Zhou Yun turned around and saw a vaguely familiar face but couldn’t remember where she had seen it.

However, this person had an Asian appearance but spoke in English.

”May I ask who you are?” Zhou Yun asked in English.

Now the person switched back to Chinese and started to laugh, ”My name is Qiao Anshan.”

Zhou Yun remembered this name and quickly recalled who this person was.

Wasn’t this the Chinese-American actor who claimed to be American that Song Chi had told her about?

”Do you need something from me?” Zhou Yun’s smile faded somewhat.

Qiao Anshan said, ”Nothing much, just saw you and since we’re both actors, I thought I’d like to get to know you.”

”You act in the United States, I act in China, there’s not much point in us knowing each other,” Zhou Yun said frankly.

Qiao Anshan did not expect such a blunt rejection.

After a moment of surprise, he asked, ”Do you have an issue with me?”

”No, not at all,” Zhou Yun shook her head. ”Don’t get me wrong, I tend to speak directly.”

”...” Qiao Anshan was somewhat speechless.

”You’ll surely have a chance to act in the United States. You’re such a good actress and very beautiful; you’ll definitely come to Hollywood. And I will definitely go to China for acting as well. In fact, I’m currently discussing a movie with a Chinese company. If everything goes well, I’ll be in China shooting in the second half of the year,” he said. ”We might even collaborate in the future.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Then I wish you all the best in your China project. I need to head back to China now.”

She gave Qiao Anshan a tepid smile, without mentioning any potential collaboration, then turned and walked towards Zhou Lan and Song Chi.

Song Chi had already noticed her talking to Qiao Anshan and was preparing to come over.

However, since he was on crutches, it wasn’t very convenient.

Zhou Yun approached him and said, ”Sit down, with a hurt leg you shouldn’t be moving around.”

Song Chi asked, ”Was he looking for you?”

”Just a casual chat,” Zhou Yun said. ”I didn’t really engage, just responded briefly and walked away.”

Song Chi chuckled scornfully.

Zhou Yun said, ”You were right about him, not a great guy. I don’t like him either.”

”Normal,” Song Chi aptly used the word.

The two exchanged a smile.

Zhou Lan was on the phone, laughing and chatting away, paying no attention to them.

Zheng Xiaojue was taking selfies, constantly changing expressions and looking for the best angle.

Song Chi’s assistant was occupied with his mobile phone.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi sat together, waiting to board the plane.

Zhou Yun took a selfie with Song Chi and posted it on Weibo, captioned: Ready to go home.

On Weibo, her fans flooded the comments section: Welcome home, goddess!
