Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 723: Chapter 500: Lizhou Cruise_3

Zhong Heping sized up Wang Jing from head to toe before finally speaking, ”I’m currently planning a romance film, and Zhou Yun recommended you.”

Wang Jing looked at Zhou Yun somewhat flattered.

Zhong Heping is a famous art film director; not widely known to the public, but well recognized within the film industry.

Wang Jing had not expected Zhou Yun to recommend her to Zhong Heping.

Zhong Heping said, ”However, this movie will have scenes with exposed breasts, can you accept that?”

Wang Jing’s expression instantly stiffened.

She looked at Zhou Yun, somewhat at a loss.

Zhou Yun also looked at Zhong Heping in surprise and said, ”Director, you didn’t mention these exposing scenes to me earlier. Can’t a body double be used?”

Zhong Heping shook his head, saying, ”That would lose the intended artistic effect.”

Zhou Yun hesitated before saying, ”Director, I need to discuss this with Xiao Jing first and take a look at the script.”

Zhong Heping seemed to also not have expected an immediate agreement and nodded.

Zhou Yun took Wang Jing back to Zhou Lan, saying, ”I didn’t expect his film to involve revealing scenes, sorry about that.”

Wang Jing shook her head, ”No, thank you Sister Xiao Yun and the director for recommending me.”

”Uh, also because I really don’t have any free slots, otherwise I would also want to act in Director Zhong’s movie,” Zhou Yun said.

Wang Jing asked, ”Sister Xiao Yun, would you have accepted the role if it were you?”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”It depends on the script, whether the exposure is necessary, and the extent of it.”

Wang Jing was somewhat surprised, ”Sister Xiao Yun, would you really be willing to expose yourself on the big screen?”

Zhou Yun replied, ”I don’t know if you have seen ’Lust, Caution’; it’s quite a revealing film, and the actors have made great sacrifices, but it’s classic. It captures the subtle and convoluted aspects of human nature very well. Without such self-sacrifice and exposure, it wouldn’t be as good. For such a film, I would be willing to act.”

Wang Jing seemed to understand and nodded.

Zhou Yun smiled at her, ”It’s okay, let’s wait for him to send the script and then decide. If you want to act, go ahead. If not, it’s also okay, there will be other opportunities.”

”Mm,” Wang Jing nodded.

Zhou Yun indeed treats Wang Jing like a younger sister.

She didn’t know how to describe it, maybe it was because of some inexplicable sense of responsibility? Because both of their agents were Zhou Lan, because Wang Jing was brought in by Zhou Lan with her agreement? Zhou Yun had never thought before that she could also be a selfish person—just because Wang Jing was also Zhou Lan’s artist. People say Wang Jing is her junior sister, she never openly agreed, but deep down she somewhat felt that way.

Zhou Yun hoped that Wang Jing could have better development. She wasn’t oblivious to the slight discomfort in Wang Jing’s heart.

Wang Jing thought she was hiding it well, of course, that was just what she thought.

Zhou Yun actually understood Wang Jing’s feelings; she always believed that jealousy is a very normal emotion, people who are never jealous can’t be found even among ten thousand.

At 10 PM, Zhou Yun returned to the hotel, washed up, and prepared to sleep.

Tomorrow morning, after attending the Lizhou Cruise event and the official announcement that she has become the spokesperson for Lizhou Cruise in the Asian Region, she would go back to continue filming.

Zeng Lili and Wang Jing would continue to stay in Cannes.

Shi Luoqi had secured several event admissions for them to walk the red carpet and gain exposure.

It was a pity that, given Zhou Yun’s rising fame, many film event organizers mainly invited Zhou Yun, but Zhou Yun’s schedule this time in Cannes was too tight, leaving no spare time at all. If she had time, Zhou Yun could actually have stayed in Cannes, taken advantage of the festival with the highest exposure to boost her popularity in Europe by leveraging ”Life.”

Fortunately, the news of Lizhou Cruise officially announcing Zhou Yun as the spokesperson for the Asian Region still successfully got her on all major media home pages.

Lizhou Cruise is quite famous internationally.

”Lizhou Cruise’s history is too long, with a legendary history of over a hundred years. Before Zhou Yun, there had never been an Asian celebrity as their spokesperson.”

Zhou Yun originally thought it was her luck to land the endorsement for Lizhou Cruise, as Lizhou Cruise wanted to expand into the Asian market.

Until she saw Chen Fusi among the senior executives of Lizhou Cruise during the announcement ceremony.

Chen Fusi stood in the middle of the crowd, clapping along with everyone, chatting and laughing as if he only glanced at Zhou Yun unintentionally.

He smiled slightly at Zhou Yun and nodded.
