Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 223: Chapter 192: Wu Ting’s Extraordinary Graduate Project Proposal! (Part 2)

She remembered him from before, standing by the lectern, reminding her in front of everyone not to waste time and to just give the questions directly to her grandfather.

Back then, she had seen the same calm, confident, and utterly self-assured look in his eyes.

Deng Feifei gave a radiant smile, her lovely eyes filled with warmth.

”Dr. Wu, you’re as confident and poised as ever.”

”Alright.”

”I accept your proposal.”

”Send me your bank account number and details in a bit, and I’ll arrange the first transfer of research funds.”

”As for the consulting contract, we won’t need it. Given your integrity and character, Dr. Wu, I don’t think we need to sign any formal agreement.”

”I trust you’ll keep your promise that when you have a breakthrough, you’ll give Jin Pharmaceutical Group priority consideration, all other things being equal.”

Deng Feifei magnanimously accepted Wu Ting’s terms, forgoing a formal contract in favor of a gentleman’s agreement.

Wu Ting met her gaze directly, his own eyes just as frank and clear.

”Of course. A gentleman’s word is his bond.”

’To be honest, Wu Ting had a very good impression of Deng Feifei, which extended to Jin Pharmaceutical Group as well.’

’Besides, according to Shen Siyuan, Jin Pharmaceutical Group was a major player. If he really were to get into new drug development down the line, they had the necessary resources.’

”Then here’s to a pleasant collaboration.”

This time, Wu Ting took the initiative and extended his hand.

”To a pleasant collaboration.”

Deng Feifei extended her hand as well.

Watching from the side as the two young people shook hands, Shen Siyuan revealed a faint smile.

A handsome man and a beautiful woman—a perfect match of talent and looks. In this setting, the two of them truly looked like an ideal couple.

Deng Feifei was Jin Yihong’s only daughter and the future heiress to a hundred-billion-yuan fortune.

Shen Siyuan very much hoped that Wu Ting would get to know Deng Feifei better. So far, it seemed their second meeting was going quite well.

With the agreement settled, Deng Feifei glanced at the time and brought the discussion with Shen Siyuan and Wu Ting to a close.

After all, as the manager of the R&D department, Deng Feifei had plenty of company business to attend to.

The same was true for Shen Siyuan, who needed to get back to her experiments in the lab.

Wu Ting was also very satisfied with the outcome. After exchanging contact info with Deng Feifei on a messaging app, he sent her the number and details for one of his bank accounts.

”Keep in touch, Dr. Wu.”

Deng Feifei gave her phone a little shake, signaling to Wu Ting that he should feel free to contact her often.

Wu Ting nodded, gave a small smile, and followed Shen Siyuan out of the club.

The workaholic Shen Siyuan drove Wu Ting, speeding all the way back to Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital.

Shen Siyuan looked at Wu Ting.

”You know, for a professor, I’m not as thoughtful as that young woman, Deng Feifei.”

”So, here’s the deal. I have a few apartments nearby. To make it easier for you to come over for work and discussions, I’ll give you the keys to one of the vacant ones. It’s not far, just a five-minute walk from here.”

”Also, in the garage downstairs, I have a few other cars besides this one. You can use this Mercedes for your daily commute.”

Shen Siyuan tossed a set of house keys and a car key to Wu Ting.

”You’re my personal protégé, so don’t be a stranger.”

Shen Siyuan felt very close to Wu Ting and cared for him deeply.

Wu Ting accepted the two sets of keys, feeling a bit overwhelmed. ’These top female academics are all so loaded.’

Once Wu Ting’s living situation was settled, Shen Siyuan got serious and started outlining the arrangements for the research project.

”Wu Ting, now that you’ve come to an agreement with Deng Feifei and secured the seed money, your project can officially get underway.”

”I’ll contact the hospital administration and push to get your project proposal approved this week. At the same time, we’ll get the project officially registered.”

”Then, just as we planned, we’ll run it as an official hospital project. You’ll provide the funding, and we’ll hire faculty and students from our Medical College to assist with the first phase: collecting clinical data for your P3 predictive therapy for chronic hepatitis B.”

The research for the P3 predictive therapy for chronic hepatitis B was fairly straightforward to conduct. All it required was sufficient screening data from patients with primary liver cancer caused by hepatitis B. With that, they could determine the specific range for the P3 marker and its correlation with the disease progression in the early stages of primary liver cancer caused by hepatitis B.

However, for greater accuracy, the larger the dataset, the better.

The screening procedure itself had very low technical requirements for the doctors performing it; residents and even interns could handle it.

The fact that Wu Ting could offer some form of payment to the doctors participating in his project was a significant perk for the staff at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital.

Medical interns already had a tough life—they were overworked and underpaid. The chance to earn extra compensation from Wu Ting’s project was a godsend.

Wu Ting and Shen Siyuan targeted four departments within Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital: the Emergency Department, Hepatic Tumor Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, and the Department of Infectious Diseases.

The directors of these departments were all quite familiar with Wu Ting and held him in high regard.

With Shen Siyuan making the request, the four department heads all gave their assurances. As soon as Wu Ting’s project proposal was approved and officially registered, their departments would post announcements and assign residents to participate in his research.

Thanks to Shen Siyuan’s swift and decisive actions,

Dean Song, Director Fu, Director Shen Xiaofei, the head of the Medical College’s experimental center, the head of the graduate studies department, and a statistics professor from Jinggang University’s main campus were all invited to form the expert panel for Wu Ting’s project proposal defense.
