Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 650: Chapter 648: Beneath the Earth Demon Cave

About twenty minutes later, Mido finally crawled up from the underground after receiving the news.

He didn’t dare climb up from the center of the Earth Demon Cave and finally chose to walk back the way he had gone down.

Upon coming up, Mido hurried to face Gu Xi first thing.

At this moment, Gu Xi was directing his subordinates in cleaning up the battlefield.

There were so many Yaksha corpses here that Gu Xi did not directly use for Summoning.

Gu Xi could see that these Yakshas were all at Level 6 and above, but below Level 8.

Directly summoning now would only bring out a batch of Level 4 Zombies at most, but if he took them back to Yalidu City and processed them through some methods, it would even be possible to convert them at their original level through training buildings.

For Gu Xi, nearly fifty thousand corpses here were like a treasure trove.

He didn’t want to slow down the growth of his Undead for momentary gratification.

So now, the Earth Demon Cave looked like a large slaughterhouse.

All the corpses were stripped of all equipment and armor, washed with hot water, preserved with Undead Magic, and finally piled together, packed, and sent to Yalidu City.

Along with them, naturally, went the Yakshas’ weapons and equipment and various supplies from the city.

One could say the Earth Demon Cave was a scene of busyness.

And Gu Xi was sitting there, reviewing some of the elite goods and material data sent over.

”Usable Yin Qi for Negative Energy is about three thousand cubic meters, converting to nearly three hundred thousand points of Negative Energy; over two thousand pieces each of Green and above quality wood, stone, and metal, nearly fifty thousand pieces beneath Green quality in total.

Over four thousand hides of Green and above quality, and twenty-three thousand hides below Green quality.

Rare materials...it feels like we’ve hit a huge jackpot this time.”

While looking, Gu Xi muttered about this harvest. At this moment, a building architect came over.

”Sir, the functions of these buildings have been clarified, and the surveys are complete. We obtained three Large Building Architectural Design Plans, nine Medium-sized, and six Small Building design plans, and most of the remaining buildings can be dismantled and reassembled for use.

Do we need to transport this back, Sir?”

”Let me take a look.”

Gu Xi reached out his hand, and the architect handed over the newly drawn architectural design plans to him.

Taking a look, Gu Xi saw that the architect had recorded everything in detail, not only the building plans but also the original level of each building and the level it could maintain if disassembled and transported back.

Among them, the highest level was surprisingly a Medium-sized Building, a Level 7 Flesh Kitchen, which could provide food for twenty thousand people when fully operational.

According to the architect, if this Flesh Kitchen was reassembled in Yalidu City, it could maintain a Level 5 standard, and with a bit of luck, imagining a Level 6 Flesh Kitchen wasn’t out of the realm of possibility.

That would then guarantee food for fifteen thousand people.

However, there are two problems: First, Gu Xi needs to provide the food materials, and second, the Undead don’t really eat.

So, this is less valuable to Gu Xi than a Small Building ranked second.

A Level 6 Tattoo Blood Pool, which could inscribe tattoos onto soldiers and enhance their Power through the tattoos.

Each level up for a Tattoo Blood Pool allows four more kinds of tattoos to choose from. A Level 3 Tattoo Blood Pool can offer Green quality tattoos for selection, while a Level 6 Tattoo Blood Pool can provide Blue Quality tattoos.

Moreover, the number of tattoos will also increase. At Level 1, the pool can only tattoo each soldier once, but at Level 6, up to six times.

There will even be people who specialize in tattoo research, learning how to combine different tattoos to maximize their effectiveness.

One could say this is much more valuable than a Flesh Kitchen.

”It’s a pity we don’t have a Tattoo Artist.”

The architect also nodded in sympathy.

He also felt it was a pity. Among these tattoos, some could even enhance intelligence.

However, apart from the Core Building, other buildings do not come with staff. To station people, you must recruit or train them on your own.

Otherwise, one would have to take the most basic route, which is somewhat of a waste.

Just as the architect intended to say more, Mido also stepped up to face Gu Xi.

Seeing the situation, Gu Xi stopped examining and returned the architectural design plans to the architect.

”Take these plans to Luna. She will handle the arrangements. Dismantle the buildings here if possible, and be careful while doing so. We are not yet sure if they are usable, but if they turn out to be, lack of materials would be an issue.”

”Rest assured, Sir, we are professionals in dismantling buildings.”

After the architect withdrew, Gu Xi then turned to Mido.

”Tell me what happened underground.”

Upon hearing this, Mido quickly stepped forward to explain.

It turned out they led their troops in pursuit of the worms underground and first encountered the worm nest, engaging in a battle with the worms.

These worms were just big with the capability to move underground, but their combat power was average. Unless caught off-guard, they could be decisively defeated.

But in an actual underground fight, the worms weren’t the opponents of the troops Mido led down.

So their early battle went rather smoothly.

But as Gu Xi used the Mind Kill of the Fox Eye Ring, it elicited a different kind of reaction.

It turned out these worms weren’t meant to live underground but to dig the Underground Palace.

Beneath the worms’ habitat was the Underground Palace where the Yaksha Mother resided, containing an unknown number of Yaksha eggs.

Gu Xi’s Mind Kill targeted all living things within fifteen kilometers.

This naturally included the Yaksha eggs that hadn’t hatched.

The Yakshas inside the eggs committed suicide immediately, breaking open the eggs and crawling out with the yolk.

The yolk and eggshells on the Yaksha Mother came from this.

Though the damage was minimal, the Yakshas crawling out of the eggs couldn’t be put back in.

This directly disrupted years of arrangements by the Yaksha Mother, igniting her fury.

With all the Yaksha eggs destroyed, the angered Yaksha Mother crawled to the surface looking for Gu Xi.

And Mido’s troops happened to block the Yaksha Mother’s path.

So naturally, they confronted it, and in the battle, the Bone Armor Centipede died, with heavy losses in Evil Bone and Bone Locust, and a tremendous loss of Bone-devouring Mud.

Ultimately, Mido had to retreat only when the Bone Armor Centipede fell, realizing further struggle was futile.

However, he wasn’t idle; he had already located the previous hiding place of the Yaksha Mother. If Gu Xi hadn’t sent an order, he would have been exploring the situation by now.
