”Fetal Bone?”

Gu Xi took a closer look and finally recognized the situation of the little white bone corpse in front of him.

This is a type of undead that dwells neither here nor there.

It belongs to children who accidentally died before the age of three and became entities in places like the Netherworld.

These undead, because their life was not yet exhausted and they cannot enter the underworld, and because they are not buried in ancestral graves, often have nowhere to go and can only wander outside the Netherworld.

Some Fetal Bones don’t even have their own names, and even if the family wants to find them, they cannot.

They can be considered as lesser beings in the Netherworld.

The most important thing is that they died at a very young age, do not know hatred, and have no obsessions. Compared with undead who died as adults, they have no combat power.

Unlike those unborn baby ghosts who can transform into something fierce.

So these Fetal Bones often can only find a place outside the underworld to while away their time.

Upon understanding the origins of Fetal Bones, Gu Xi couldn’t help but sigh, crouch down, and beckon to the Fetal Bone.

”Hello, this is for you.”

Saying this, Gu Xi took out a bit of negative energy and placed it in the Fetal Bone’s mouth.

After consuming the negative energy, the Fetal Bone’s spirits were noticeably lifted, and it said to Gu Xi, ”Sir, are you here in the Other Shore Flower Sea looking for something? We have many brothers who can help you find things.”

Gu Xi was about to say, ”I’m not here to look for things.”

But when the words were on the tip of his tongue, Gu Xi hesitated for a moment.

”I’m just passing through here, but got lost. Since you have many brothers, do you know the way? I can pay someone to guide me.”

Gu Xi, while speaking, also took out more negative energy.

Seeing the negative energy in Gu Xi’s hand, the Fetal Bone immediately nodded.

”Don’t worry, we also provide guidance services. Where do you want to go, the Entrance to the Underworld, Ghost Gate, Soul Gathering Land, Half-step, or Path of Rebirth? Or perhaps Wandering Soul Road?”

The Fetal Bone counted out the places it could go to.

Just as the Fetal Bone said, they have countless brothers here. Because of their weakness, most places do not guard against them.

And they have plenty of time, and with mutual contacts and help among Fetal Bones, they are quite familiar with the Netherworld and the underworld.

Wherever you want to go, just tell them.

”I plan to go to the Soul Gathering Land, can you take me there?”

Upon hearing that it’s not a dangerous place, the Fetal Bone was delighted to go to the safest place and of course preferred to take the safest route.

”Of course, sir, please follow me.”

The Fetal Bone then led the way ahead.

Gu Xi jumped onto the Evil Coffin and followed behind.

At this moment, the Fetal Bone was moving at a speed that could keep pace with the Evil Coffin.

Such speed left Gu Xi feeling somewhat speechless.

Do all undead have such speed?

It shouldn’t be. If they all had this speed, he wouldn’t bother with slow-moving zombie soldiers.

Yet fortunately, the Fetal Bone saw that the Skeleton Soldiers were lagging behind and slowed down.

To prevent Gu Xi from getting bored, it also introduced some Netherworld creatures to him.

These things Gu Xi had already learned about from school and Undead Knowledge.

However, the images and knowledge compared to seeing them firsthand still had some discrepancies.

Gu Xi’s previous experiences were not like the Fetal Bone, seeing these things every day, so his judgment on them was somewhat biased.

Now with the Fetal Bone, Gu Xi was able to correct these biases one by one.

From time to time, a ”ding” sound came into Gu Xi’s ear.

[You have mastered some undead knowledge through observation and learning!]

[Your undead knowledge level has slightly improved.]

[Undead Knowledge Level increased to level 9.]

[...]

In such circumstances, Gu Xi wasn’t at all concerned about the slow pace of the journey.

But even if the Yellow Springs Road is long, it can be completed in seven days.

Not to mention, Gu Xi didn’t walk from the start to finish. After about four or five hours, the Fetal Bone stopped.

”Sir, look, the Soul Gathering Land is just ahead, remember the red lanterns in the sky, follow their direction, and you won’t go wrong.”

Hearing the Fetal Bone’s words, Gu Xi couldn’t help but ask, ”What? You’re not coming?”

”No, the Soul Gathering Land there is the Soul-Devouring Cave, once inside, money can’t come out. We earn money with difficulty.”

The Fetal Bone, despite its small stature, was quite understanding.

Hearing this, Gu Xi was stunned for a moment. It seems the Fetal Bone was an intelligent being and shouldn’t be underestimated just because it died early.

So Gu Xi jumped off the Evil Coffin and took out ten portions of negative energy to place in the Fetal Bone’s hand.

”If I want to find you in the future, how should I do that?”

”Just blow on this, and a Fetal Bone will come looking for you.”

The Fetal Bone handed a bone-made whistle to Gu Xi.

At this moment, another ”ding” sound came into Gu Xi’s ear.

[You interacted with the Fetal Bone, gaining recognition from its members, Reputation System activated, current reputation is Friendly (1000/3000).]

After saying this, the Fetal Bone waved to Gu Xi.

”Remember to come find us if you need something. We have a lot of good stuff for sale.”

After saying this, the Fetal Bone disappeared in a flash in the Other Shore Flower Sea just like it had appeared before Gu Xi.

Once the Fetal Bone had left, Gu Xi turned to look in the direction of the red lanterns.

At this time, the red lanterns, like giant balloons, were hanging high in the sky.

With just a glance, Gu Xi could tell he still had dozens of leagues to go to reach the Soul Gathering Land.

From this, one could imagine how large those balloons were.

Now with a path laid out, Gu Xi couldn’t help but quicken his pace. The distance of dozens of leagues took him only about thirty minutes to cover.

As Gu Xi drew closer, he gradually saw a massive undead city appearing in front of him.

The city in front of him was filled with the grandeur of an Eastern city. Even without getting close, Gu Xi saw a twenty-meter-wide moat and a thirty-meter-high city wall.

On the city wall, a large number of armored Skeleton Soldiers were patrolling back and forth.

The bones of these Skeleton Soldiers were all black, and the weapons in their hands were ancient and worn out, indicating they had existed here for a long time.

Outside the city walls were nine huge city gates, with large numbers of undead queuing to enter the city.

The states of these undead varied greatly. Some came alone, some in groups of thirty to fifty, and some like Gu Xi, leading a large troop.

Among them were undead of normal height, as well as some bizarrely different in height.

Their presence greatly enriched Gu Xi’s undead knowledge.

It almost made Gu Xi forget to enter the city.

After observing outside the city for a while, Gu Xi eventually made his way towards the city gates, just then a voice sounded behind him.

”Gu Xi, Brother Gu, you’ve come too.”
