Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 605: Chapter 603: Give Me Some Respect (Bonus Chapter, Please Subscribe)

Seeing Gu Xi’s puzzled expression, Zuo Ya couldn’t help but shake his head.

What has Gu Xi learned from the guild seniors after joining the guild?

In fact, Zuo Ya didn’t understand that Gu Xi really hadn’t learned much.

After he joined the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, he hadn’t had time to get familiar with everything in the guild, then things cropped up one after another, directly propelling him to this level.

As a result, everyone assumed that Gu Xi should know a lot of things.

But they never imagined that actually Gu Xi wasn’t very knowledgeable about many things.

At least he hadn’t thoroughly researched the knowledge in the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s Tech Tree, the books in the Library, and the items sold in the shops.

So when he encountered something he wanted, Gu Xi didn’t know how to handle it.

Although Zuo Ya didn’t understand how Gu Xi got to such a high level, this kind of knowledge wasn’t a secret, so Zuo Ya casually said, ”Transporting materials across games is actually quite simple.

Have you heard of signposts? This is the most basic method of cross-game material transport.

Although it can be expensive and easily damaged, this thing is quite useful and relatively easy to acquire.

Most guilds sell them.

If not, some major forces in the game also have them.

The use is simple; signposts come in pairs, just write the direction on the signpost board and place it at an intersection, and a dedicated transport carriage can travel between the signposts along the route.

Though it may take time, it’s much more convenient than sending someone personally to transport.

Oh, it’s almost our turn.”

Zuo Ya glanced up at the queue; while speaking, they had already reached the City Gate Officer.

At this time, the City Gate Officer guarding the gate had already laid eyes on the Bone Titan and Ghost Dragon behind Gu Xi.

It’s hard not to notice since both of them have a Level 10 or above strength, making them quite powerful entities in this world.

Even though the Soul Gathering Land doesn’t reject any Undead, Undead above Level 10 surely deserve some inquiry.

”General Suo, these two Undead are...”

Zuo Ya was about to step up and explain when unexpectedly, the City Gate Officer just looked at Gu Xi and waved, allowing Gu Xi’s Undead Corps to enter.

This situation left Zuo Ya dumbfounded.

It was only after Gu Xi had taken several steps forward that he snapped back.

”Brother Gu, what’s going on? Have you been here before?”

”No, I just got here as well; maybe I just have a big presence.”

Actually, upon seeing the City Gate Officer, Gu Xi already understood the reason behind it.

He noticed that all the Undead here had a faint green above their heads.

If they weren’t backed by someone, good chance Gu Xi could have recruited them under his command by now.

Regardless, their favorability towards Gu Xi was not low at all.

Once Gu Xi stepped into the gate, he heard a system message.

[You have made contact with the Soul Gathering Land, reputation with the Soul Gathering Land is now Friendly (1500/3000).]

Gu Xi guessed that most players who came to the Soul Gathering Land would start at a neutral level, neither hostile nor friendly.

And starting at Friendly was already good enough.

For Gu Xi’s words, Zuo Ya was speechless as he had just felt a touch of big guild confidence, only to be outshone by Gu Xi in an instant.

What face did he gain?

Is this a matter of face?

Zuo Ya had spent so much time and effort in the Soul Gathering Land just to build up his reputation.

In the end, he was no match for the newcomer Gu Xi.

Zuo Ya couldn’t help but wonder what he has been doing these days.

Gu Xi, on the other hand, didn’t notice Zuo Ya’s thoughts and finally got to see the situation of the Soul Gathering Land after entering the city.

The city of the Soul Gathering Land gave an oddly peculiar feeling, with a clearly marked boundary line on either side of the main road.

The buildings on the left side of the main road were neat and orderly: streets were streets, alleys were alleys, and even the spacing and height of the buildings were exactly the same, as if carved from a module.

But the right side of the main road was different, it was a mess; it looked like numerous different houses thrown together, the only good part being that these houses weren’t stacked on top of each other.

Seeing Gu Xi’s surprise, Zuo Ya finally smiled a bit.

”You’re surprised too? But now’s not the time to be amazed, turn around and see.”

At Zuo Ya’s words, Gu Xi indeed turned around to take a look.

He found that no matter how he turned, all the buildings on the left side of the road were consistently uniform, and all on the right side were messy.

This discovery truly amazed Gu Xi.

He himself had a city, but never thought a city could be played like this.

”See it now, right? The Soul Gathering Land has been established here for thousands of years, so these changes make sense.

In the Soul Gathering Land, you can’t look at the buildings along the road because one turn and the buildings might not be in the same place.

So, in the Soul Gathering Land, you must learn to recognize landmarks.

See those ground markers with characters? They’re the key to finding your way.

Our Corpse Bone Fish Dragon Guild has a temporary guild base in Position B Zone 5, and we’ve booked the nearby taverns and inns.

If I want to go to Position B Zone 5, I just follow the ground markers like this and walk to Position B.

Then, stand on the landmark and turn in any direction you like.

Turn five times, and you’ll face Position B Zone 5.”

Zuo Ya turned five times just like that and stopped.

At this point, Gu Xi felt that though Zuo Ya was still standing in front of him, it seemed as though he was already quite distant.

”At this moment, there’s a crucial point: if you make a wrong turn, just step back and come out; if you turn correctly, move forward directly, and you’ll enter the area you want to go to.

And other areas are like this too, if you want to return to the main road, just take the Zone A route.

Oh, and be careful when stepping on the landmarks; those with candles on them are fixed landmarks.

No matter how many circles you make, they won’t get you anywhere.

And those with rice incense, that’s for inns attracting customers; if you wish to reside in the Soul Gathering Land, you can rent an inn yourself.

Here, the rental prices for inns are generally not too high.

And most importantly, the Market is at the end of the road; just take a hundred steps forward, and you can enter the Market directly, which is the only place not affected by this city’s rules.

There you must be careful not to be scammed, be wary of theft, and don’t cause any trouble there; if a fight breaks out, no one will help you.”
