”I’ve learned all the spells in the Magic Tower, and I’ve even learned the soldiers’ spells. Most importantly, I’ve mastered ritual magic.

These are some things I’ve mastered recently, and if I must say, battlefield rituals are my current thought process.”

Listening to Brave Fight’s words, Lewis’s eyes also lit up.

He is neither a magic hero nor an Undead Mage, and to him, Brave Fight’s words were a major demerit.

It seems that the hero of Gu Xi’s third regiment can only be him.

Unexpectedly, Gu Xi showed some interest in Brave Fight’s words.

He came up to Brave Fight and directly asked, ”Explain in detail.”

Seeing the situation in front of him, Lewis was in disbelief. He really wanted to tell Gu Xi that he was the best choice for controlling the Ghosts, not Brave Fight.

Lewis’s anxious demeanor naturally did not escape the eyes of Gu Xi and the others.

The previous situation with Robbie and Arroyo was different from these two.

They happened to encounter a unit under Gu Xi that could be utilized.

But now, Gu Xi was completely unconcerned, as he had more choices before him.

Because just before this, Gu Xi had at least obtained more than ten items that could transform bosses into heroes.

Although Old Coffin always said that the conversion rate was low, about ten items should be able to convert one or two.

So, Gu Xi could completely overturn everything and make other choices.

Now, he was saying these things actually to test the personalities of these two heroes.

After all, the commanding hero of a structured unit can lack combat power, talent, and level, but absolutely cannot lack intellect.

This time Brave Fight’s performance was at least satisfactory; he knew his positioning.

Lewis’s performance was unsatisfactory. He thought Gu Xi only had him as a subordinate.

Brave Fight also noticed the unusual expressions of Gu Xi and the others and thought about it seriously before explaining the ritual magic he envisioned to Gu Xi.

In Brave Fight’s mind, during a grand war, mages shouldn’t be brought to the front as shooters.

That’s really a waste of the mage’s role; mages should be placed in the rear, using altars or other means to conduct magical ceremonies.

And through ritual magic, change the weather, direction of the wind, or even summon volcanoes and thunder to attack the enemy.

Listening to this, Gu Xi thought seriously, ”You mean, move the mages further back?”

”Yes, although moving the mages back won’t allow them to attack the enemy directly like shooters, the existence of ritual magic can enhance the mages’ power by hundreds of times.

As long as it’s not a surprise attack, and we have time to set up the ritual altar, a hundred Skeleton Mages can function like a thousand Skeleton Mages.”

Hearing this, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up as well.

”Are you sure?”

”I am sure, and I’ve already researched five different rituals, three of which require altars, and one of which requires offerings.”

Speaking of his research, Brave Fight explained earnestly.

”Tell me about it.”

”First, it requires an altar and offerings, and a lengthy preparation time for the ritual magic, Slowdown Skill!”

Huh?

Gu Xi looked at Brave Fight in surprise, not expecting him to regard the Slowdown Skill as the most important ritual magic.

”The reason why Slowdown Skill can reach this level is because it’s related to Earth Power, and the derivative skills of the Slowdown Skill have similar concepts.

It only requires a hundred Skeleton Mages, plus an altar, with one unit of stone on the altar, to control the gravity within a diameter of two thousand five hundred meters around the altar.

It can speed up our troops’ movement or slow down the enemy’s, even stopping them from moving.

The magical effect will continue as long as the Skeleton Mages involved in the ritual are still alive.”

After stating his research results, Brave Fight felt quite proud, but he finally understood the situation, so he refrained from explaining how these ritual magics were researched to Gu Xi. Instead, he quickly introduced other ritual magics.

”Ice Storm and Mana Extraction, one involves Skeleton Mages specialized in mastering the Ice Arrow spell, the other can be participated in by any Skeleton Mage or even Corpse Witch, with better effects the more participants there are.

Both require dedicated ritual altars.

Ice Storm needs a hundred Skeleton Mages proficient in Ice Arrow for the ritual.

Mana Extraction is different; any Skeleton Mage or even Corpse Witch can join, and the more participants, the better the effect.

Ice Storm can expand the attack range of the Ice Storm fifteenfold, with power twice that of a normal Ice Storm.

The power estimate is mine because the Skeleton Mages have not been under my control, so I haven’t tested it; I can only simulate based on my data.

Mana Extraction is different; it can drain all the mana from the enemy’s Magic System troops.

This is also an issue; I think we need a way like a mana pool to store mana.

Otherwise, when the ritual ends, this excess mana will truly be wasted.

Two spells without ritual altars, Ice Ring Skill and Blood Loss Curse.

I’m still researching these two; I feel Blood Loss Curse and Mana Extraction could be on the same path, drawing enemy life to concentrate together.

But the follow-up idea is somewhat stuck; I think having a Blood Mage who is a Vampire might work better.

Ice Ring Skill follows the path of the Ice Storm; importantly, Ice Ring does not harm those in the center, which is perfect for self-defense. The problem now is lacking manpower.”

Listening to Brave Fight’s introduction, Gu Xi seriously asked, ”Brave Fight, of these five ritual magics, how many can succeed?”

”All can succeed.”

Brave Fight, with a serious face, pushed his glasses, and the wind blew, lifting a few strands of hair on his head.

”Okay, then I’ll trust you this time. In the upcoming battle, I will leave all the Skeleton Mages to you to arrange; show me each one, don’t overdo it.

If three of the five ritual magics succeed, I’ll form a Magic Corps for you.

Have you seen this battle banner?

This method allows you to form a corps without a stationed base. Although there are some defects, it’s better than dragging things on.”

Listening to Gu Xi’s words, Lewis and Brave Fight’s reactions were exactly opposite to when they first appeared.

Brave Fight was filled with motivation, while Lewis felt like his world was collapsing.

Seeing Lewis’s expression, Gu Xi finally said one last thing.

”Lewis, think about Liu Sheng’s choice, and then think about your performance.”

Gu Xi’s words made Lewis break out in a cold sweat. He understood where the problem occurred, lowered his head, ”Sir, I understand, I will find my positioning.”
