Gu Xi turned around and looked, his eyes showing a surprised expression.

”Zuo Ya? What are you doing here?”

”I’m pioneering here, but seeing you here, I do feel a bit surprised.”

It turns out that the one appearing behind Gu Xi was Zuo Ya, whom he once met at the White Training Grand Ceremony.

However, now he no longer seems like the leader of a small team as before. He’s currently following behind three Undead Mages, and the way he greeted without leaving the team clearly showed he was part of that group.

”Why do you feel surprised?”

Gu Xi was somewhat puzzled.

Rarely encountering an old acquaintance, Gu Xi naturally wanted to chat a bit more.

At this moment, the leading Undead Mage in Zuo Ya’s team turned to him and said, ”Zuo Ya, I’ll give you a one-hour break, meet us at the inn later.”

After speaking, the three Undead Mages walked into the nearby team, leaving Zuo Ya standing alone on the spot.

Zuo Ya looked at Gu Xi, somewhat awkwardly he smiled.

”Brother Gu, don’t mind, people in the pioneering team are always a bit serious; after all, every step here is related to one’s life.

And all the experts in the pioneering team have been transferred away. They are also under great pressure right now. By the way, you haven’t said why you’re here.”

”Steel Ghost Claw lost the pioneering rights to this world to our guild. When I leveled up, coupled with the Creation matter, I naturally came over to improve myself.”

Gu Xi was well aware of Zuo Ya’s situation. As the first guild in Bailian City, the news they knew would always come earlier and more, so he just mentioned the Creation matter and didn’t elaborate further.

”But you came here alone?”

Zuo Ya obviously knew about the Creation matter.

He was surprised that Gu Xi actually came to pioneer alone.

It’s known that pioneering a new world is quite a dangerous thing for players.

The most feared thing is being alone.

Even for the acclaimed Undead Mages with an army following them, it is the same.

After all, unintentionally, one might fall prey to unforeseen circumstances.

So most guilds, when encountering pioneering tasks, join as a group, typically starting as a team of twenty. For weaker guilds, teams of forty are possible as well.

Stronger guilds also mostly group in fours or tens unless there’s an extremely powerful presence; otherwise, it’s rare to see teams of two or three.

Gu Xi coming out alone for pioneering was somewhat surprising.

Like Zuo Ya here, although being the rookie number one for the Corpse Bone Fish Dragon, wasn’t he following someone else’s team?

But Gu Xi had no inkling of these dynamics.

”Yeah, I don’t have many friends in the Chaoyang Radiance Guild. The people I know are either not yet past Level 5 and can’t come here or are busy reaching Level 10 as they join other pioneering teams.

You know my personality, I may be easygoing, but I’m not someone who follows orders.”

Listening to Gu Xi’s account of himself, Zuo Ya nodded.

He’d interacted with Gu Xi a few times, experiencing benefits and setbacks alike.

But overall, Zuo Ya could see the situation clearly.

Gu Xi is willing to cooperate with others, but when a situation arises, he considers it from his own perspective.

Joining a pioneering team would be fine if he were the leader; he probably wouldn’t mind leading even if it meant carrying some dead weight.

But the issue is, Zuo Ya was now just an ordinary member in a pioneering team, so how could the Chaoyang Radiance Guild entrust a pioneering team to Gu Xi.

Not to mention, the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s pioneering teams are mostly large teams of twenty or forty people.

This way, Gu Xi pioneering alone made much more sense.

Understanding this, Zuo Ya didn’t continue on this topic, but rather asked about Gu Xi’s future plans.

”Do you plan to participate in the Creation this time?”

”Of course, wasn’t it said to be another twelve years?

With my potential, if I can’t reach Level 10 within such a long time, I might as well be dead. How about you?”

Regarding the matter of Creation, Gu Xi was definitely going to participate.

”I will certainly participate, but my goal is to reach Level 15 before joining. Brother Gu, you might not know, at Level 10 in Creation, that’s just a cannon fodder position. To get some benefits in Creation, you must meet two standards: reaching Level 15 before the age of thirty.

Once achieving this, directly sign up without worrying about any guild, you immediately become a potential seed and a mid-level leader.

Our president directly stated, meeting this standard and signing up is all one needs to do.

Brother Gu, come line up over here...”

As Zuo Ya continued to chat with Gu Xi, he guided Gu Xi towards the city gate queue.

Once he had Gu Xi in the line, Zuo Ya continued to explain.

”In this Soul Gathering Land, there are only three rules: no fighting within the city, queue up to enter or exit the city, and always agree on the price before doing anything.

Other than that, do whatever you want, no one will interfere.

Since you’re new, you might not be familiar with the City Gate Officer, so I will take you along the path our team usually takes, so you can get acquainted. That way, entering and exiting the city by queuing up will be quicker for you.”

Zuo Ya squeezed in a bit further, quietly saying, ”Sneaking things in is reasonable, no need to worry, although your Bone Titan and Ghost Dragon at your back might cause some issues.

If questioned later, just claim they are my friends, it should get you through.

But thinking about it, Brother Gu, you’ve indeed become powerful. We haven’t separated for long, and you’ve already acquired such formidable beings like a Ghost Dragon, and I’ve only ever seen Undead like the Bone Titan in books before.”

”Just lucky, what about your Undead, Brother Zuo, why aren’t they with you?”

”I’m not wealthy like you, bringing my undead along. Instead, all of my undead are stored in battlefield tokens, to be released in battle.

However, using the battlefield token requires mastering strategic skills, otherwise releasing units at wartime isn’t feasible.

In our Corpse Bone Fish Dragon Guild, the first requirement to join is finding a way to master strategic skill, to easily access these battlefield tokens.”

Gu Xi didn’t expect there would be such a thing.

But after a thought, he understood, this should be an internal resource of the Corpse Bone Fish Dragon Guild, probably even reaching a certain key level on their technology tree.

Other guilds probably haven’t mastered these.

Turning over a new thought, Gu Xi considered that he might have some things he could ask for from the Corpse Bone Fish Dragon Guild.

Just as Zuo Ya was about to steer the conversation back toward Creation, Gu Xi suddenly asked a question.

”Brother Zuo, I’d like to inquire if there are any ways to transport materials across games.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s question, Zuo Ya blinked, ”Brother Gu, have you reached that level already?”

Gu Xi, upon hearing this, couldn’t help but be stunned, had he asked the wrong question again?
