Undead Mage from a Cell

When Shaya arrived, it was already the second day, and after a day’s rest, Gu Xi had already figured out the situation of the Soul Gathering Land.

What Zuo Ya mentioned before were just some general information.

But he didn’t tell Gu Xi that besides their Corpse Bone Fish Dragon Guild, there are also eleven other guild residences in this Soul Gathering Land.

Most of these guilds are top-ranking guilds from Bailian City.

The only two guilds ranked relatively low, aside from the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, also include the first guild to discover this game world.

This is actually quite understandable, as most players from Bailian City follow the path of the Undead Mage and Death Knight.

The Soul Gathering Land, being the largest undead gathering point outside of the Underworld, can be considered the largest undead main city. Players pioneering this world, once they enter the Underworld, will find their way here.

And here, as the biggest gathering point outside of the Underworld, a place where quests are issued, and a market, becomes the primary main city for players.

If Gu Xi were to pioneer alongside other players of the Chaoyang Guild, he would also be brought to the Soul Gathering Land in the shortest time.

And then, various tasks revolving around the Soul Gathering Land would gradually take him back to the mortal world.

However, when that time comes, what Gu Xi wants to do and when he leaves would no longer be within his control.

At that time, Gu Xi would inevitably have to act with the pioneering group.

Understanding this, even though Gu Xi knew there was a Chaoyang Radiance Guild base in the city, he didn’t go to join them.

Isn’t it more pleasant to reserve an inn for oneself, or is it because Gu Xi can’t find any tasks to do?

Isn’t it good to come and go as you please by oneself?

So even after knowing this, Gu Xi pretended not to know.

Actually, Gu Xi didn’t realize that there are quite a few players who think like him.

Especially after the affair of the Creation circulated, most of the main pioneers were called away, leaving the pioneering teams with little management.

Some players, in the process of returning from pioneering, conduct some businesses in the Soul Gathering Land, and most pioneering teams don’t really manage them.

Gu Xi’s little thoughts weren’t even noticed by anyone.

The people of the Chaoyang Radiance Guild were actually pleased that Gu Xi wasn’t coming to seek them.

When Gu Xi saw Shaya, he had already changed his clothes.

At this moment, Gu Xi’s equipment was still the same as before, but the robe draped on him was no longer an Undead Mage’s robe, but a light yellow Taoist robe.

For this situation, Gu Xi was somewhat speechless.

”Wait, is there really no problem with this yellow robe?”

”What’s the problem, it’s not like it’s a dragon robe or a purple robe, my lord, you who hold a powerful subordinate as a Celestial Master, what’s wrong with wearing a yellow robe.”

The undead waiter who gave Gu Xi the fashion robe looked speechless.

”You’re just too careless, really. If you have time, you should really go take a look at the Soul Gathering Land; the Celestial Masters coming down from above aren’t dressed as drably as you are.

Yellow robes are basic; look at those City Gods, Mountain Gods, Earth Gods, they’re definitely wearing splendid clothes.”

Even though he said that, Gu Xi always felt that something seemed a bit off here.

Just then, Shaya also walked in. Seeing Gu Xi changing into his fashion clothes, Shaya smiled gleefully.

”My lord, don’t you say you’ve put on the yellow robe now?”

”I wish, but clearly it’s not the case.”

Gu Xi gave Shaya a sidelong glance, ”How about it, did you find out anything?”

”Indeed, I did.” Shaya nodded affirmatively.

She had been running around all night, not only becoming familiar with the city’s streets but also gathering a lot of information.

The most important of this is that recently, there are quite a lot of skirmishes outside the Soul Gathering Land.

It seems that because it’s the end of the era again for the Great Feng Dynasty, many Ghost Kings see it as an opportunity to vie for the throne, wishing to be reborn.

To reincarnate smoothly, or to hit their opponents in advance, many battlefields have already opened outside the Soul Gathering Land.

However, this news doesn’t have much direct connection to Gu Xi.

After all, this is considered a long-term deployment spanning twenty or thirty years.

But for the guilds, this is a significant piece of information.

If a guild can support a Ghost God to ascend in this war, it would be a tremendous change for them.

One could say if not for the Creation’s happenings drawing away attention and main forces of various guilds, perhaps their focus would be on this world for the foreseeable future.

Listening to this situation, Gu Xi lightly knocked on the table and then pressed his forehead.

”I really can’t make sense of this matter; if only Eldest Princess Anna were here, she might see something.”

Shaya nodded with certainty.

The three Contracted Undead under Gu Xi, truly in direct connection with power, have to be Eldest Princess Anna.

Luna and Shaya are a bit weaker, at least in politics, they don’t have any ideas.

Unfortunately, Eldest Princess Anna is now being held up by the war in Yalidu City; otherwise, inviting her here now could be a solution.

At this moment, Shaya suddenly spoke up.

”My lord, isn’t Du Yuan that scholar?

Although he seems a bit dull-witted, he should know something about this matter; should we call him over and ask?”

Gu Xi suddenly realized, yeah.

Isn’t this Du Yuan always claiming to be a scholar, the type that could go to the capital to take the imperial exams?

He even knows about the King of the Wheel, and writes poetry for him.

He should have a certain understanding of the situation in the Great Feng Dynasty.

Calling him over might be a good idea.

Gu Xi thought for a while, then took out the whistle given by the Fetal Bone earlier and handed it to a Skeleton Boss.

”Go find the Fetal Bone to lead, return to Su Family Village, and bring Du Yuan here.”

The pointed-out Skeleton Boss, who was previously responsible for protecting Du Yuan during transportation, knows about Du Yuan’s situation, and can at least have a few exchanges with him.

After receiving Gu Xi’s task, the Skeleton Boss quickly led its subordinates away.

As they left, Gu Xi noticed that all the Skeleton Soldiers here had bones that seemed noticeably brighter.

It seems the Li Family Inn’s maintenance for the skeletons is quite good indeed.

After delegating this matter, Gu Xi inquired about other things.

Shaya knew Gu Xi’s tasks and thoughts very well and accurately.

Whenever she went to gather information and intelligence, she always did it in this direction.

After sharing some important but not directly related intelligence with Gu Xi, Shaya gleefully said to him,

”My lord, you absolutely won’t guess what I found in the market this time; we definitely didn’t come in vain, take a look at this.”
