This time, with the appearance of two new heroes, Gu Xi didn’t handle them like he did with Kaga and Die Bone before.

In Gu Xi’s view, once the experiment succeeds, there is no difference between the enemy’s heroes and his own.

Gu Xi will have a considerable number of heroes in the future.

These heroes can’t be given troops as casually as before.

Gu Xi needs to test the strength and personality of these heroes.

Casually placing a hero in an inappropriate position is a waste of these heroes.

Just like Di Mi, what if another hero appears whose heart is higher than the sky but whose life is thinner than paper?

Di Mi is still well-positioned; after all, she is considered the first hero under Gu Xi, and she has the potential of a Leader level.

Why would these heroes deserve another chance from Gu Xi?

To prevent Gu Xi from viewing these heroes as cannon fodder, Gu Xi believes he must arrange for them in advance.

”Dali, your situation is interesting. Do you need iron ore or metal to strengthen your skeleton soldiers?”

”Any metal will do.”

Gu Xi first considered the hero from the original Steel Bone Camp.

”Then if they are infused with metal and then mobilized, how long can they maintain that metal state?”

”About three months.” Dali immediately understood what Gu Xi intended to do upon hearing the question.

He’s thinking of making him the instructor for the skeleton soldiers’ reinforcement training.

Thus, enhancing the combat power of all skeleton soldiers.

He was prepared for this and did not oppose accepting this task.

At this point, Gu Xi asked again, ”I have a recipe for Corpse Bone Golden Paint in hand. Go and have a look to see if there’s any correlation with your methods. If so, head to the Evil Church and take charge of transforming the skeleton soldiers.

My demand is not high. I need the skeleton soldiers to be enhanced once, ensuring the effects of enhancement don’t disappear.”

Dali thought for a moment and put forward his requirement: ”I need to see the recipe first, and if it really works, I can’t work in the Evil Church. I’ll need a dedicated skeleton enhancement building.”

”No problem. I have a few architects under me. Tell me your requirements, and I’ll find a suitable building for the arrangement.”

After arranging for Dali, Gu Xi then turned to look at Mido.

”Your combat power isn’t enough. It’s truly a waste to have you lead the flying team. In my opinion, it would be better for you to handle transportation.”

Mido didn’t argue with Gu Xi, but he also didn’t agree outright. He only said, ”My lord, if that’s the case, my flying team will be wasted.”

”Not wasted. I don’t lack much else, but I do have plenty of empty spaces. Your flying team can stay anywhere.

Of course, if you think the flying team you previously led was already strong, then let it be. Look over there.”

Gu Xi pointed to the sky, where thirty black dragons hadn’t yet descended. Faced with such forces, truly no one dared to claim their flying team was strong.

Mido quickly lowered his head after seeing the black dragons in the sky.

He understood that the flying team he led was entirely temporarily cobbled together by the Steel Skull Guild.

The purpose was to leverage the exceptionally high mobility of the flying team to keep everything nearby under their surveillance.

As for remote assassinations and decapitation missions, those were ideas of his own.

Mido’s combat strength was actually just average, and regarding the flying team, since they were focused on flying capabilities, their combat power was generally not strong.

After all, not everyone, like Gu Xi, could effortlessly lead thirty black dragons as a flying team.

Still, if someone had thirty black dragons, they wouldn’t need a hero like Mido to command the flying team.

One could say that Mido himself knew his position was not above the flying team.

His role was either as a scout for pathfinding or as part of a transport convoy.

Operations like deploying behind enemy lines for a decapitation action were beyond his capability.

Seeing that Gu Xi had arranged his destination, Mido quickly lowered his head, acknowledging Gu Xi’s perspective.

At this moment, news from Kaga also came through.

The Broken Scale Mine had been captured.

Upon hearing this news, Gu Xi did not converse further with the two heroes.

He waved his hand, signaling for the two heroes to return with their troops to Yalidu City.

Then, Gu Xi retracted the city gate and the Soul Summoning Tower, leading his main forces swiftly toward the direction of the Broken Scale Mine.

The thirty black dragons and thirty-four red dragons had no intention of returning just yet.

While they weren’t accustomed to the aura on the Yellow Springs Road, dragons have always been fearless.

They didn’t care about the environment they were in. In the eyes of dragons, there’s only battle.

Earlier, Gu Xi had stationed all these black dragons at the Yaliduvi Tower.

Although it served a purpose, the black dragons internally had some dissatisfaction.

Having been released and allowed to vent a little, the black dragons were reluctant to return.

Not wanting to lower the morale of his black dragons, Gu Xi decided that since there was nothing on the Yellow Springs Road that could harm the black dragons, he might as well keep them by his side, allowing them to participate in the battle.

The black dragons knew they didn’t have to return to Yalidu City and live a captive life, so their morale soared. If they weren’t unfamiliar with the surroundings, they might fly several hundred miles to express their excitement.

Gu Xi merely glanced at the black dragons’ situation and didn’t bother with them further, as long as they could fly back.

He led his subordinates swiftly to the entrance of the Broken Scale Mine.

It turned out to be a downward-sloping mine, and atop the mine, a battle banner was planted.

The banner depicted three overlapping skulls, the emblem of the Steel Skull Guild’s first pioneering group.

Outside the mine were numerous mining carts, with zombie-like miners standing by them.

About over three hundred meters from the mine, there was also a large pile of ore.

On seeing these ores, Gu Xi understood why this mine was called the Broken Scale Mine.

There was a layer of scales on the surface of the ore.

Picking up a piece of this Broken Scale Ore, Gu Xi obtained the information about it.

[Broken Scale Ore (Green): A special ore produced by prolonged soaking in serpentine blood, used to reinforce the surface hardness of buildings, resisting attacks and destruction from siege weapons.]

Seeing the information on the Broken Scale Ore, Gu Xi made a judgment in his heart.

Useful, but not highly impactful.

Nevertheless, these ores couldn’t be wasted.

Gu Xi immediately ordered, ”Kaga, plant the Battle Banner of the Soul Gathering Land here to assert control, and the rest of you, transport all these ores back to the city. These ores are ours now.”
