Undead Mage from a Cell

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s command, Brave Fight immediately activated the ritual magic.

Eldest Princess Anna frowned but said nothing.

In her mind, she would first slow down the enemy’s movement speed and then deal with them gradually.

But this was Gu Xi’s battle, and even if she thought it unreasonable, she wouldn’t oppose Gu Xi’s opinion.

This time, the skeleton mages under Brave Fight’s command were organized, making their operations more rapid and effective.

As soon as they acted, all the mana of the skeleton mages, vampires, and the undead hero of the Bone Camp charging over was depleted.

The charging action came to a sudden halt.

Gu Xi decisively seized this opportunity.

”Fire!”

The skeleton shooters, who had been prepared, instantly fired the arrows in their hands.

This time, because they were prepared in advance, all the skeleton shooters under Gu Xi were positioned atop the steel city gate, taking a higher ground, and used a lobbed attack against the approaching enemies.

They targeted the vampires in the enemy’s ranks.

Among the undead soldiers, the ones most vulnerable to shooter attacks were indeed these vampires.

Skeletons are immune to part of the piercing effects, zombies have thick blood, and ghosts are immune to some physical attack effects.

Among all the undead, on such a battlefield, if not aiming at vampires, then who else should be targeted first?

So the skeleton shooters locked onto the vampires directly.

And the vampires in front of him happened to be the kind emerging from the Vampire Mansion, wielding two-handed greatswords and preferring teleportation to walking.

Their greatest feature is the ability to transport themselves behind enemy lines.

But that’s also their biggest weakness.

When their mana is depleted, without the ability to teleport, they can still move, but not with the same ease as teleporting.

At most, they can rely on their own two legs to run around.

And just now, their teleportation ability was inadvertently broken.

They immediately went from being the fastest moving troops to the slowest moving ones.

Just then, a rain of arrows from the skeleton shooters descended from the sky, striking the vampires. They still thought of dodging using their teleportation skill, but as they moved, they were pinned to the ground by the arrow rain.

Seeing this situation, Lewis immediately turned back with his troops.

When luring this platoon over, Lewis had been observing this troop’s situation all along.

He had long since locked onto his target.

He intended to hit the skeleton shooter team at the rear.

Lewis led the ghost corps, which, while not the fastest in movement speed, had the advantage of flight exceeding many undead troops.

Most importantly, they could immunize over seventy percent of physical attacks.

Therefore, using the ghost corps to attack various physical attacking troops was the most advantageous.

And now that the enemy’s mana had been depleted and the vampires attacked, the most suitable target for them now was the rearmost skeleton shooters.

Not to mention the combat power of the archer team once an enemy gets close; given the present circumstances, they had first to eliminate any point in the enemy capable of counterattack.

Lewis turned around to charge out, and Arroyo led the Black Spear Camp to dash out as well.

The Black Spear Camp aimed differently from Lewis; they immediately charged towards the enemy’s skeleton soldiers instead.

With the Black Spear Camp’s charge, Gu Xi from the Soul Summoning Tower naturally saw it all clearly.

”Why so fierce?”

”Robbie has also launched an assault; if he hesitates further, the ongoing battle will pass him by.”

Eldest Princess Anna pointed out.

Only then did Gu Xi realize that if the Black Spear Camp chose to attack zombies, avoiding the skeleton soldiers, they could safely kill the enemy, but the Bone-Slaying Camp would soon arrive in the rear.

The skeleton two-handed swordsmen of the Bone-Slaying Camp attacked indiscriminately among skeletons, zombies, and ghosts.

At that time, the Black Spear Camp’s target would be stolen by the Bone-Slaying Camp, leaving Arroyo’s subordinates little experience to gain.

Even though facing undesired skeleton soldiers, the Black Spear Camp would launch a frontal attack.

At this time, Arroyo clearly understood his choice and charged straight at the enemy.

”Pierce!”

As the Black Spear Camp arranged into formation and charged forward, the enemy’s skeleton cavalry also started a charge.

The Black Spear Camp seized this opportunity, lifted their long spears and pierced forward, commencing their assault strategy.

The method of attack in the Black Spear Camp had no intent of retrieval; after a spear thrust out, the lancer following quickly stepped up to thrust again.

Long spears surged like waves, attacking everything in front of them repeatedly; whether facing cavalry or infantry, any who appeared before them met numerous long spear thrusts.

Although skeleton soldiers could evade many piercing attacks, given the overwhelming numbers, how much could they truly evade?

After each attack, they would immediately yield their position, allowing the subsequent assault to settle in.

With every strike, several of the skeleton cavalry would die.

Simultaneously, their speed increased progressively, eventually sweeping nearby skeleton soldiers into the attack.

At this juncture, the Bone-Slaying Camp had only just burst from the steel city wall’s attack range, yet to reach the battlefield.

In this moment, Brave Fight behind had also accomplished a second magic ceremony, initiating the Slowdown Skill, causing the zombies in the enemy line to halt immediately.

Those zombies, already impaired in mobility, were further immobilized by the large-scale use of the Slowdown Skill, effectively fixing them in the rear.

The skeleton soldiers that had charged into the Black Spear Camp’s attack range faced the same issues.

Initially, they thought of clashing with Black Spear Camp soldiers, but under the effect of the Slowdown Skill, it became exceedingly difficult for them even to lift a hand, like reef rocks fixed to the ground that remained unyielding despite the waves pounding upon them.

Conversely, the Black Spear Camp capitalized on this opportunity, availing more time to attack the enemy, piercing through the skeleton soldier team in just a few strikes.

The Bone-Slaying Camp, arriving late from behind, could only follow the Black Spear Camp, seizing advantage by delivering finishing blows to fallen skeleton soldiers.

”Good!”

Seeing this unfold, Gu Xi exclaimed joyfully.

”The timing was well grasped.”

Eldest Princess Anna nodded approvingly, acknowledging Gu Xi’s tactical execution in this battle.

At this moment, the enemy’s undead hero loudly exclaimed, ”Do you know who we are? How dare you…”

Before he could finish his words, a bone spear enveloped in lightning hurled toward him, impaling the undead hero.

Impaled by the throw, the undead hero, intent on resisting, fell to the ground and could speak no more.
