As Gu Xi reviewed the battlefield, various resources were also brought back.

Since the Zombies didn’t use the Yakshas’ various weapons and equipment this time, their weapons and equipment were sent back immediately.

Among these items, what caught Gu Xi’s attention the most were naturally the tents that the Yakshas used as leather armor.

Gu Xi witnessed with his own eyes how these Yakshas turned these tents into personal leather armor, which not only fit snugly but also did not impede the Yakshas’ movement.

When these things were delivered, Gu Xi curiously came over to take a look.

[Mobile Tent (White): A tent that can be integrated into leather armor, offering a certain level of defense, showcasing the wisdom of Yakshas. (By disassembling this tent, one can obtain some hide, wooden frames, and other materials. The disassembler may also gain some architectural knowledge and has a chance to obtain architectural design plans)]

Gu Xi blinked; he could understand the concept of disassembling it into various materials.

However, the idea of learning architecture during the disassembly process was somewhat unexpected for Gu Xi.

Could there be something else different?

After understanding the current situation, Gu Xi directly called a few architects from Yalidu City to come and disassemble the items before him.

As for the Earth Demon Cave in front of him, Gu Xi wasn’t in a hurry to act.

The earlier battle made Gu Xi realize that these Yakshas were not so easy to deal with.

Their defense power was strong, their life force was high, and most importantly, they weren’t foolish; if severely injured, they would retreat.

Moreover, having seen the Bone Eater and Painted Skin types of Yakshas, Gu Xi could already tell.

There were quite a variety of Yakshas, and each type couldn’t be dealt with using the same methods.

So charging in headfirst now would only lead to all sorts of trouble.

In order to tackle the Earth Demon Cave, it wouldn’t be wise to rush in impulsively. Instead, it’s best to steadily weaken the Yakshas bit by bit.

Thinking carefully, Gu Xi quickly made a decision to advance his current battlefield a little bit. It didn’t need to be much, moving forward about four or five kilometers would suffice.

This position was just under a hundred meters away from where the Yakshas camped earlier.

This position was also over a thousand meters away from the Earth Demon Cave. If he exerted a bit of force, he could cast Death Ripple onto the City Wall of the Earth Demon Cave.

Gu Xi had considered this distance.

He was well aware of his situation.

If it were others, the strategy would certainly be to clear the peripheral enemies first before besieging the city.

Of course, more likely, if they were clearing the peripheral enemies, the enemies might simply flee, leaving them with nothing to attack.

But in any case, they wouldn’t charge straight forward to confront the City Wall of the Earth Demon Cave.

Because doing so would likely entrap them in a surrounding.

However, for Gu Xi, things were different. Gu Xi wanted the enemy to make the first move.

The thousand-plus-meters distance was calculated by Gu Xi.

This position was just out of reach for attacks from the City Wall of the Earth Demon Cave but still visible to see Gu Xi’s location.

At this position, Gu Xi was like a nail stuck outside the Earth Demon Cave.

The Yakshas inside the Earth Demon Cave would surely feel quite uneasy, eventually prompting them to mobilize their troops to deal with Gu Xi.

The position chosen by Gu Xi also had another ingenious aspect — it was quite far from the main gate of the Earth Demon Cave.

People inside the Earth Demon Cave would have to either fly over the City Wall to attack Gu Xi, or take a detour; a direct overwhelming force was not an option.

As for Gu Xi, he was not worried for himself. After wearing down the external Yakshas, he had many ways to proceed, whether it was directly propping the city gate against the City Wall or deploying the city gate, Gu Xi had his own ways to enter.

After considering everything, Gu Xi did not set out detailed plans like before, nor did he, as in the previous battle, just give a hero a command and leave it at that.

Gu Xi had now grasped a balance in command.

In Eldest Princess Anna’s eyes, Gu Xi was slowly growing into a qualified General.

While considering all this, Gu Xi wasn’t idle either; the Stone Golems as the Scout unit had already flown out at the first moment.

They needed to investigate the Yaksha’s tactics.

At the very least, Gu Xi needed to have a clear understanding of the enemy’s capabilities.

Meanwhile, various weapons and equipment needed to be prepared. The recently Summoned Undead, along with the Undead Corps that emerged through Double Death in Yalidu City, all had to complete their re-equipment.

Previously, due to constant traveling, they hadn’t completed their re-equipment.

Now the situation was different; with the Blacksmith Shop operating at full capacity and the stock from the Barracks and Armory, all the Undead could be rearmed with the most suitable weapons and equipment.

At the same time, the architects were researching how to build a temporary City Wall around the three City Gates in the shortest amount of time.

Such a feat seemed nearly impossible, as in any game, City Walls were of utmost importance.

Building a City Wall required significant effort and a considerable amount of time and energy.

It’s not like in typical games where you can just decide to build a City Wall and it would instantly stand up.

It required time, manpower, and materials.

Luckily, at this moment, a few architects brought some good news.

Gu Xi had earlier gained relevant inspiration from the Bone-Eating Yaksha’s tents.

These materials, which could shift from leather armor to tents and back, were the best material for quickly constructing City Walls.

Yaksha tents were, in essence, modular items; their tents were in panels, and as long as they were assembled according to the original design plan, they could immediately transform into a tent.

Gu Xi wasn’t too concerned about turning buildings into garments for now.

But dismantling an already constructed City Wall into segments like a tent and reassembling them was something they could definitely do.

To ensure there were no issues with the City Walls, several architects demonstrated their individual skills.

Some contemplated rapid assembly and disassembly of the City Walls, some pondered the layout of the City Walls, and others considered various reinforcements for the City Walls, etc.

They truly seemed to have thought of everything.

And their architectural skills improved quite a bit during this operation.

Gu Xi felt that with their presence, he could fully enjoy the effects of Death City at level 9 in advance, deploying his own City Walls on the battlefield.

Once everything was ready, Gu Xi did not rush to set out but allowed his soldiers to rest for a night.

Early the next morning, Gu Xi commanded Kaga to lead his troops to set out first, while he followed with the main army, moving forward to the site where the Yakshas had previously camped.
