Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 641: Chapter 639: From Siege to Defense

As the three city gates were lowered, an inverted triangular open space was created.

A large number of ordinary Undead rushed out from inside the city gates, holding the prepared materials, and directly plunged them into the foundation.

The work that the Zombies did to manage the foundation earlier was finally showing its corresponding effect at this moment.

The holes they dug earlier, the Undead coming out later only needed to plunge the materials in, and then the backfilling and other tasks would be handled by the later Undead.

They looked as if they had trained hundreds of times.

In fact, everyone knew this wasn’t the case.

It was because the Undead were too obedient; if the task for each Undead was broken down into every little detail, they would appear like this.

The present Undead took only three minutes to have the basic part of the city wall built.

A large amount of wood and bone served as a frame, and the animal skins and tents obtained from the Bone-Eating Yaksha earlier had become the most suitable materials, now being attached to the frame.

At this moment, the Yaksha also noticed this situation.

They all wanted to step forward to prevent all this from happening.

But Kaga’s troops stood like a dam, firmly blocking the Yaksha in front of them.

This gave Gu Xi and his team more time to calmly set up the city walls here.

After about fifteen minutes, a layer of city wall approximately fifteen meters high was finally built around the three city gates.

With the three city gates plus the walls, Gu Xi directly enclosed an open area with a diameter of about one hundred and fifty meters.

This was the size Gu Xi had calculated.

Previously, when Gu Xi lowered the walls and retreated to the rear, he discovered that because he was too far from the battlefield, his Spells could not reach the battlefield.

So, the position where Gu Xi stood needed to be closer to the battlefield.

At least it shouldn’t be like before, where the Death Ripple couldn’t hit the enemy after half a day.

When the walls were being built, the Brave Fight, who had taken his team ahead of time, had already set up the corresponding altars.

No need for Gu Xi’s orders, his first wave of Spells was already prepared.

This time, he did not start with the Slowdown Skill.

Because Brave Fight also understood, the troublesome task of sacrificing three hundred soldiers in each battle was like a sword hanging over his head.

In order not to sacrifice his own people, he had to select the sacrifices for this battle at the start.

So after setting up the altar, the Ice Storm ceremony quickly proceeded.

This time, in order not to be accused of taking advantage, Brave Fight specifically directed the Ice Storm at another type of Yaksha.

The Ice Storm may sweep away one wave of Yaksha, but the pets the Yaksha brought were a different matter.

Those cats and dogs, they also counted as Life, and they could also be counted among the sacrifices.

When the Ice Storm fell, they were hit immediately, and some of the weaker cats and dogs were killed on the spot.

At this opportunity, Gu Xi seized the moment instantly.

”Draw them in, prepare to kill!”

Hearing Gu Xi’s order, Kaga and Die Bone immediately made some space, luring the Yaksha troops to the rear, to be dealt with by Gu Xi’s leading troops.

Kaga also knew very well his biggest problem was lacking Attack Power.

Now with defense in place and strong Life in place, if he could have a comrade following the same path, he would definitely want this Hero to go the path of increasing attack power.

Unfortunately, Gu Xi only mastered Double Death, not Triple Death, unable to conjure another hero of the same type and Talent.

So, Kaga could only imagine, as what he could do now was to attract the enemy to hit himself, enduring the test of Life with the enemy.

Instead, it was behind them, Gu Xi’s subordinates, especially those in the Black Spear Camp, who used Kaga’s troops to block the enemy’s steps, launching sneak attacks during the openings.

Using this method, they killed quite a number of Yaksha.

Now, with Gu Xi’s command, they released the Yaksha, and the Black Spear Camp quickly regrouped, giving up their combat positions, while the Bone-Slaying Camp’s Two-Handed Swordsmen stepped forward, engaging the Yaksha head-on.

Gu Xi’s other Undead troops also took action at this opportunity, with three to five sneaking up on the enemy, using the Undead’s greatest advantage to deal with the Yaksha.

The Yaksha wanted to counterattack, but after hitting one Undead in front, the surrounding Undead attacked immediately, leaving them with no advantage even with numerous methods.

Not to mention, Gu Xi’s Skeleton Soldiers were not the type that could be called Skeleton Soldiers at just level three.

Having followed Gu Xi through multiple battles, those who survived had at least level six proficiency.

It could be said that the current strength of Gu Xi’s forces far exceeded the conditions when he completed the Guild’s first mission, transporting elite Undead.

These Yaksha, regardless of their ideas, could only face one or two Undead at a time.

Then they would be hacked to death by seven or eight nearby Undead.

Some Undead Bosses, maintaining a cautious mindset, led forty to fifty Undead Soldiers to besiege one or two Yaksha.

Just not giving the opponent a chance to counterattack, engaging in micro-operations.

With such operations, the Yaksha that were let in were quickly hacked to death, followed by more Yaksha being let in, forming a very natural and positive cycle.

After losing some companions, the Yaksha also turned around, with a retreat forming in their minds.

Some Yaksha even turned to flee.

At this moment, after releasing the Ice Storm, Brave Fight finally covered this time’s offering and started a new Magic Ceremony.

Slowdown Skill.

This Ritual Magic’s altar and sacrifices had begun to be set up after they entered the open space.

This saved them a lot of time.

All they needed was enough Skeleton Mages to perform the Magic Ceremony.

Under the effect of the Magic Ceremony, the Slowdown Skill fell on all the Yaksha.

At this point, the Yaksha’s doom had arrived.

Their biggest advantage, in front of more than ten times the Undead, was nothing.

The Slowdown Skill also had a significant impact on the Yaksha, their movements visibly slowed, and any normal person paying a little attention could avoid the Yaksha’s attacks.

In this way, what advantage did the Yaksha have? They were just standing targets.

How could Gu Xi’s Undead troops miss such stationary targets?

So, the Yaksha who came to stop Gu Xi were slaughtered one after another.

And at that moment, Eldest Princess Anna, who had been by Gu Xi’s side, gave a reminder.

”Hold steady, don’t panic.”
