Undead Mage from a Cell

After experiencing the feeling of a crow flying, Gu Xi landed inside the Yalidovitar.

Upon entering, Gu Xi discovered that Eldest Princess Anna had already activated all the towers within Yalidovitar.

As the Eldest Princess of Britain, she was most familiar with everything in Yalidovitar, and even though she had died, those memories would not fade.

Now all the functions of Yalidovitar are activated.

Even if something happens over at Yalidu City, this side can hold up for a while.

Entering the range of Yalidovitar, Gu Xi saw the souls of those ghostly children atop the Bloody Tower.

The two of them were staring intently at him, seemingly wanting to say something.

However, Gu Xi ignored them and began searching in the grand square of Yalidovitar.

Soon, he found a carriage parked near the guillotine, pulled by a black steed, the carriage painted in black lacquer with gold trim.

Beside the carriage stood a woman dressed in the attire of an Empress, cradling a head under her arm, waiting quietly.

Upon seeing her, Gu Xi immediately knew she was waiting for him, so he quickly stepped forward and asked, ”Headless Queen?”

The head held in the arms chuckled.

”You may call me Annie, Anne Boleyn.”

Gu Xi understood very well that this headless queen named Annie wanted to share her past or something similar.

But only if Gu Xi was willing to listen.

Gu Xi had no time to listen to these things; he took out the scarlet crystal and handed it to Annie.

Annie’s head rolled her eyes at Gu Xi and spoke gloomily.

”Aren’t you afraid I might keep this nice thing to myself?”

”Afraid, but take a look at the quality of this item.”

”Don’t talk to me about quality or not, I just want to vent all my frustration to someone, can you listen sincerely?”

Annie was a bit angry.

Gu Xi could only shut his mouth and nod earnestly; this cutscene just wouldn’t skip.

In the end, he could only stand in front of Annie and listen to her finish her story.

Originally Gu Xi thought it would be a story of grudges and vendettas.

Turns out it was nothing like that, it was a story of a court maid kicking off the Empress to rise in rank, only to be beheaded after a short reign.

What version of this story it is, Gu Xi wasn’t sure, but listening to it gave him an indescribable feeling.

When Annie finished telling all this, Gu Xi suddenly said.

”I heard that in the Mirror Image Underground Palace, the exiled Great Monarch intends to open the six sealed doors, but it requires the blood sacrifice of a British Emperor and a British Queen’s head, the blood of a British Princess and a British Crown Prince, and the life of a British Prince and a Britannian King Consort.

Is it possible that you rose to rank just to be beheaded?”

Hearing this, Annie’s face twitched a bit, she of course understood this, hence her dissatisfaction.

Originally, she wanted to vent some of her frustrations to Gu Xi during their exchange.

But Gu Xi directly pointed out her situation, making her quite displeased.

Yet she had no way to deal with Gu Xi, after all, Gu Xi delivered the item and the story was heard, it was just stating a fact.

In the end, Queen Annie could only swallow her pride and accept the [Headless Queen’s Obsession] Gu Xi presented to her.

After placing the [Headless Queen’s Obsession] around her neck, Annie said to Gu Xi.

”Well, to show my gratitude, I will select a new attribute for your city, to be superimposed with Yalidu City, right. You want to turn all Yalidu Cities into the same attribute.

I could originally help you with this, let your city become like cities of its kind.

At that time, no matter which period of Yalidu City you occupy, the style and attribute direction will be the same.

But now I think there’s a more suitable attribute for Yalidu City.

Original branch, the further you go, the further you are.

Cities of the same origin!”

As soon as Annie finished her words, a ding sounded in Gu Xi’s ear.

[Yalidu City has activated a new attribute, Cities of the Same Origin!]

[Cities of the Same Origin: All cities stem from the same source, but due to different development and construction conditions, and different surrounding environments, the city’s style will undergo different changes, eventually even forming completely different cities.]

Watching Gu Xi read the city attribute information there, Annie burst into laughter.

”You came at a time when one of the periods of Yalidu City is about to be captured, right? With two periods of Yalidu City so far apart, you dream of extending your original city’s attribute to the new Yalidu City; that’s impossible.

Don’t even think about it, this is because of your loose lips.”

Faced with such a situation, Gu Xi was quite speechless.

He never expected that Annie was simply a madwoman.

However, the current situation didn’t affect Gu Xi actually.

Gu Xi had no intention of extending Yalidu City’s style to another period’s Yalidu City.

If possible, Gu Xi would prefer different attributes and development directions for the Yalidu Cities of several periods.

The current situation instead catered to Gu Xi’s wishes.

Watching the laughing madly Annie in front of him, Gu Xi couldn’t help but let out a sigh.

”Thank you, what do you plan to do afterward?”

Surprised, Annie looked at Gu Xi, ”You aren’t angry?”

”What’s there to be angry about, it’s not a big deal, after all, my city’s attribute has increased, and the reward I should have received was obtained. I can’t just abandon it because the attribute doesn’t suit my taste.”

Annie said nothing in response to Gu Xi’s words.

To be honest, with the skill of the Death Lord in hand, there were no Undead that Gu Xi couldn’t influence.

Earlier when Annie was angry, it was because she felt embarrassed and thus changed her mind.

But after the incident, she felt guilty towards Gu Xi, hence her previously embarrassed demeanor.

Hearing Gu Xi’s reasoning now, Annie thought for a moment and said.

”I see you’re about to capture the Yalidu City from the Tudor Dynasty period, then the Yalidovitar of other periods will launch attacks on you here, preventing your stable development.

So I’ll give you a hand.

Temporarily seal off the entry points of other Yalidovitars, reopen them after you sort things out.”

After speaking, Annie said no more and directly sat in the carriage, placing the head on her lap.

Gu Xi found Annie’s reaction quite surprising, but soon realized that with the departure of the carriage, four crows appeared at the guillotine site.

Clearly, these four crows represent the four periods of Yalidu City not yet connected to Yalidovitar.

As long as these four crows remain, those four periods of Yalidu City will be unable to connect.
