On the journey that followed, Lewis became rather honest.

He no longer acted arrogantly like before but sincerely helped Gu Xi manage the Ghost Corps.

Regarding his previous Brave Fight, he might have shown a bit of disdain, but for Liu Sheng, Lewis was truly convinced.

As fellow Ghost Hero, Liu Sheng’s strength was truly far superior to his own.

Initially, Lewis did not compare himself to Liu Sheng, and with Liu Sheng following Di Mi, he thought that he was the only choice for the hero of the Ghost Corps.

But after Gu Xi spoke to him once, Lewis realized he was overthinking it, and he was not the indispensable one.

Even Di Mi was striving to prove himself, and if Lewis couldn’t see his own position clearly, he would slowly be abandoned by Gu Xi.

Now he has clearly figured out his role, to be a versatile blue-collar worker, ready to step up whenever Gu Xi needs him.

When not needed, he can help manage the Ghost Corps, helping to train ghosts.

This caught Gu Xi, who had been preparing to keep an eye on Lewis, by surprise.

How could the Undead now all be so pragmatic?

Nevertheless, since Lewis was being honest, Gu Xi naturally had nothing more to say. As they traveled, Gu Xi straightforwardly released each of his undead troops.

Using the Wandering Spirits on Yellow Springs Road to consolidate his forces.

Meanwhile, along the way, most masterless Undead they encountered were deeply moved by Gu Xi’s friendly demeanor of the army and voluntarily chose to join Gu Xi’s forces.

By the time Gu Xi reached the first task point, the occupied Wild Temple, he had already gained nearly ten thousand Undead.

More than half of these Undead were around level 1 civilians.

They were immediately sent by Gu Xi back to Yalidu City, integrating them into the construction of Yalidu City.

The remaining ones, as long as they surpassed level 4, were considered qualified soldiers in Gu Xi’s eyes.

Gu Xi would allocate them to various units based on their situation.

Either led by an Undead Boss or directly following similar Undead to boost morale.

By the time Gu Xi arrived at the Wild Temple, he had gathered over twenty thousand people.

At the forefront was the Black Spear Camp, with the Bone-Slaying Camp moving along the flanks of the troops, protecting the wings.

Gu Xi led his other subordinates in the center of the formation.

At this time, he was discussing with Brave Fight about the position the mage corps should take if a real battle commenced.

The original attack distance of the mages was about two to three hundred meters.

This attack distance was similar to that of the archer team.

So mages and archers often moved together in action.

But now Brave Fight was planning to perform Ritual Magic, requiring more space, and the attack distance had increased significantly. So, Gu Xi estimated that the mage corps could be placed in the spot initially planned for the siege weapons.

However, if that were the case, one or two special units would be needed for protection.

And those one or two units were exactly what Gu Xi and Brave Fight were discussing.

Brave Fight believed that the number of people he could command was limited and that a quick construction of an altar was needed, so there would definitely be an engineering unit in his team.

With two more combat units, the direction for Ritual Magic could only use the Skeleton Mage, rather than categorizing the Skeleton Mage for future large Ritual Magic like Meteor Fire Rain or Chain Lightning.

Therefore, with two more combat units, his choices of routes would be even less.

In order to ensure his future research, no matter what, he was unwilling to add two more defense units to his own team.

This also gave Gu Xi a bit of a headache.

He couldn’t specifically assign a unit just to guard for Ritual Magic.

Thus, the two had a conflict over this matter, neither able to convince the other.

And at this time, Brave Fight was quite stubborn, no matter how Gu Xi demanded, he stood firm, refusing to relent.

Until Gu Xi and the others arrived at the Wild Temple, Brave Fight did not yield.

Looking at the Wild Temple appearing on the horizon, Gu Xi finally did not want to communicate further.

”Brave Fight, now I’m not communicating with you, but directly ordering you, among your seven Bosses, give me two positions, the Temple is right ahead, I want to see two defensive units under your control in your team.”

Shouting this, Gu Xi then turned angrily towards the Wild Temple.

He was internally complaining about why he always encountered such troublesome heroes.

At this time, the Eldest Princess Anna came to Gu Xi’s side and gently patted his shoulder, saying, ”That’s right.”

Gu Xi looked puzzled at the Eldest Princess Anna.

”I meant the way you handled things just now. You used to always want to clear everything up, but you are not omnipotent, you cannot always yield for certain matters.

At times like this, you must decide for yourself.

Let your subordinates see your decisive nature.”

After saying this, the Eldest Princess Anna patted Gu Xi’s shoulder again, ”Think about it, all your subordinates are Undead, are you worried that they could rebel?”

Indeed, after this, Gu Xi’s control over his subordinates significantly strengthened.

Brave Fight returned to his obedient state, and when assigned two Zombie Bosses, he accepted them willingly, discussing with the Zombie Bosses about whether they could come over to help set up the ritual altar when they had nothing to do.

Seeing this situation, Gu Xi smirked a bit.

Exactly, this is more like it.

There’s always a solution; standing firm makes no sense.

Does he seem that easy to bully?

Thinking this way, Gu Xi moved towards the front of the troops, not realizing himself becoming more and more confident.

The inner confidence exuded from him caused the Eldest Princess Anna who was always following behind him to nod approvingly.

It seems Gu Xi is slowly growing.

If he goes through a few more major battles, develops his battle strategy, and eliminates his flaws, he can be considered a famous general.

Only this kind of Gu Xi is worthy of the profession of a Death Witch Lord.

Ordinarily relying solely on the Death Incarnation, solely using Corpse Burst to press forward, that is not the right path.

Gu Xi did not know the Eldest Princess Anna’s expectations of him. At this moment, he was gazing at the Wild Temple before him.

It was called a Wild Temple, but in reality, from the current situation, it could actually be considered a large city.

With city walls over six meters high, capable of blocking most enemy attacks.

The only baffling part was that, on top of the city wall, there were no patrolling soldiers, but instead, one pillar after another as tall as normal people, wrapped entirely with blood-red threads.
