”So that’s why that guy came in shouting and ready to fight, it was all about this.”

After hearing Mido’s description, Gu Xi understood the gist of it.

It seems that this Yaksha Mother is the real owner of this Earth Demon Cave. She established such a large Earth Demon Cave here, raised tens of thousands of Yakshas, and even built such a huge palace underground.

It’s definitely not just to find a nice place to relax.

She must be preparing for something.

With such arrangements, and the bodies full of vitality found in the lake, Gu Xi guessed that there must be something good down below.

”Let’s go down and take a look.”

Gu Xi said decisively.

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, Mido immediately led the way, saying to Gu Xi, ”This way, sir.”

Without saying much more, Gu Xi jumped onto the Evil Coffin and prepared to go over.

The Ghost Dragon and Bone Titan under Gu Xi wanted to follow after seeing this.

Mido hurriedly stopped them, ”Sir, these two are too large to pass through many areas.”

Gu Xi pondered, ”I understand. You two stay by the main city gate. Isabella, follow me.”

Gu Xi was very clear; as long as he wasn’t knocked out instantly, he could summon his city gate anywhere.

Hearing this, Isabella stepped forward.

Sometimes, Gu Xi wasn’t quite sure if Isabella was a healer, as she moved like an assassin.

Without an order, she wouldn’t show up.

Even with an order, she just diligently did her job and rarely made any requests.

This time was no different. As soon as Gu Xi gave an order, she appeared precisely behind him, with an accuracy like a robot.

Just as Gu Xi was about to set off, a few Ghost Squad members dressed as White Impermanence landed in front of him.

Gu Xi’s impending departure hadn’t reached them, so naturally, they came to deliver items to him after tidying up.

Seeing the items they held, Gu Xi, who originally intended to leave, paused.

What was brought over were several Yaksha heads.

Gu Xi inspected them and found that they were indeed the targets of this mission.

It seems that the understanding of the Earth Demon Cave by the people at the Soul Gathering Land was limited.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have made these useless figures the primary targets, letting a huge Yaksha Mother slip by.

Now, he could send up these useless figures, but such a large Yaksha Mother would become a trophy under Gu Xi.

Thinking this, Gu Xi’s thoughts wandered a bit.

He wondered what kind of undead the Yaksha Mother would transform into through double death.

Ghost Mother?

This thought flashed across Gu Xi’s mind without dwelling on it, as he needed to check the underground of the Earth Demon Cave first.

Just then, the Bone Armor Centipede arrived behind Gu Xi.

Having just consumed its body, the Bone Armor Centipede was now noticeably longer than before.

Its bone armor turned a withered yellow, indicating a change in its constitution after consuming its remains. While its level wasn’t affected, its combat power was certainly much stronger.

Glancing at the following Bone Armor Centipede, Gu Xi didn’t ponder much, ”You follow too.”

Hearing this, the Bone Armor Centipede swiftly followed behind Gu Xi.

It appeared that he assumed a position as Gu Xi’s personal guard.

Following the path Mido and others took down, Gu Xi drove the Evil Coffin underground quickly.

Upon descending, Gu Xi noticed the underground was riddled with holes due to worms.

If not for Mido leading the way, Gu Xi might have gotten lost directly.

At this moment, Mido was explaining his situation to Gu Xi.

”I possess the Pathfinding Skill, which allows me to find better routes and ensures I don’t get lost.”

Mido explained the specifics of the Pathfinding Skill.

As a department head at the Mysterious Academy, Gu Xi hadn’t known about such benefits.

It seemed like he should learn the Pathfinding Skill when given the chance.

Ensuring he can find the correct path in ghostly places like this.

After descending further, Gu Xi and his companions quickly reached a huge underground cave.

Upon entering, Gu Xi’s eyes brightened, as the cave was as large as the Earth Demon Cave’s main city.

The ground was covered in more than half a foot of liquid, a mixture resembling egg yolk that turned the whole cave sticky.

Looking up, he could see the tunnel where the Yaksha Mother previously climbed, and Gu Xi noticed a large pile of bones in the cave’s corner.

This was clearly evidence of the Yaksha Mother’s previous life here.

From the moment they entered the cave, almost every step revealed three to five clustered eggshells.

These eggs were about the size of ostrich eggs, but now they were all broken. Inside were creatures only fist-sized, resembling chicks just hatched from the egg.

The bodies were undeveloped, and a gust of wind would instantly scatter them.

Looking forward along these eggs, Gu Xi discovered the entire cave was like this, with similar eggshells even at the cave’s end, near the cave wall.

Seeing all these cracked eggs, Gu Xi understood why the Yaksha Mother went mad.

If the same thing happened to his Yalidu City, he would go mad too.

But now, everything here belonged to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi believed that with the Yaksha Mother residing here, she must have left some treasures behind.

After all, when the Yaksha Mother was slain, a piece of purple armor was dropped.

It was a pair of wrist guards, covered in Yaksha patterns. On closer inspection, these wrist guards were full of life.
