I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 446, Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

As soon as Su Bai’s words fell, the crisp sound of hoofbeats could be heard from a distance.

*Clop clop clop clop…* Yu Ying was stunned, continuously blinking her pink eyes, and asked. “What’s wrong? What happened?”

She was momentarily at a loss, as this was her first time dealing with such a situation.

In contrast, Yan Hua and Sha Lan were different; their expressions immediately turned serious, and they all readied the weapons in their hands in preparation.

“I was wondering why these horses were so docile; it turns out they’re all female horses…” Su Bai frowned.

This was because wild horses generally lived in groups with one male horse leading several female horses, and wild horses were typically very fierce in temperament.

But these few horses were all very docile, even remaining motionless in place, which was a bit strange.

But after hearing that series of crisp hoofbeats, everything became clear. The male horse, the stallion, had returned.

*Clop clop clop clop…*

The stallion aggressively charged over, continuously shaking the long horn on his forehead, appearing exceptionally fierce. It was entirely white, with a much larger build, visibly bigger than the female horses, the mares.

“Shaman, be careful.” Sha Hong immediately ran to the front, drawing her Crocodile Blade.

Ye Jiu and the others did the same, holding their knives in hand as they rushed to the front, ready to charge at any moment.

If that stallion dared to run over, she would jump from the ground onto its back and cut its throat.

Although they had always heard that horses were precious and difficult to find, if it threatened the Shaman’s safety, they would have to kill it.

Yan Hua, Sha Lan, and the other Warrior Trainees also raised their longbows.

This formation looked quite similar to when they were confronting an enemy Tribe, but this time it was different – their common target was just one horse.

Su Bai gestured for everyone to calm down, after all, he now had control over all the mares. Now there was only one stallion in front of him, which would not be able to cause much harm.

Moreover, with these mares standing in front of him, the stallion could not launch an attack.

“All of you stand in front of me, make him calm down.” Su Bai raised his hand and instructed.

As soon as he spoke, all the mares stood in front of him, with some standing around him.

The mares surrounded Su Bai completely, ensuring he wouldn’t be harmed by the stallion; those horses looked very much like loyal soldiers.

Yan Hua and the others were stunned, not knowing what was happening, but they knew the Shaman would be safe with those mares surrounding him.

The stallion was also stunned; at this moment, he did not know what was happening.

Clearly, before he had left, these mares all obeyed him, but now that he had returned, all his women were facing him with hostile expressions.

It was as if they did not recognize him at all; this contrast left him struggling to react.

Su Bai had anticipated this reaction from the stallion. He extended his hand, emitting a pale blue light, preparing to continue using his Taming Skill.

The stallion naturally resisted, but he was surrounded by his girls, who even kept nuzzling against him.

The stallion’s originally agitated temperament began to gradually calm, and his eyes, which had been red with aggression, slowly returned to black.

“That’s it. Good boy…” Su Bai murmured, extending his hand to use the Taming Skill on the stallion.

As the pale blue light quietly dissipated, the stallion gradually became docile, no longer as agitated as before.

*Neigh neigh neigh.* The stallion continuously neighed, pacing back and forth in place. It was very obvious that the Taming Skill had worked perfectly.

“Shaman, this is wonderful! The stallion has been tamed as well.” Yu Ying stepped forward.

She had been particularly worried earlier, fearing something might go wrong, and had kept her hands tightly clenched.

“Don’t worry, how could anything happen to me?” Su Bai smiled.

In fact, he had already prepared to use another Skill, Finger Gun. If the stallion had been too aggressive, he would have shot him in the head.

But he really did not want to do that, because this stallion looked very strong and would make a good war horse. Killing him would be too wasteful. In terms of strength in general, a stallion was certainly better than that of a mare.

Moreover, this stallion was the only white horse among these horses, and he had the largest build as well.

Yan Hua and the others followed, the worry on their faces gradually fading.

Su Bai looked at the white stallion, and the idea of riding him came to mind.

After all, he had never ridden a horse back on Earth; shouldn’t he try it in this Primitive Era?

Moreover, all these horses had already been Tamed by him, so there would not be any problems. He just needed to sit firmly when mounted.

“Shaman, what are you thinking about?” Yan Hua asked, walking over and seeing that the Shaman had been pondering something.

Su Bai stroked the white horse and said, “I’m wondering whether to ride him.”

Yan Hua was stunned and asked with concern, “Shaman, that’s too dangerous, please don’t go up.”

Although all these horses had been Tamed, it would still be dangerous for him to ride them. What if he accidentally fell off?

Su Bai walked to a big tree, pulled down a long vine, and said, “With this, there’s nothing to worry about.”

He took it to the horse, wrapped the long vine around the horse’s mouth, and then tied a knot on the other end of the vine.

“There. Now, we don’t have to worry about falling off.” Su Bai said, patting his hands.

They were currently in the forest without any reins or saddle. He could only use vines as a substitute.

However, vines in the Primitive Era were all very sturdy and would not break easily; anyway, they were just meant to provide balance.

“Shaman, let me go with you, so I can protect you,” Yan Hua immediately said.

Su Bai raised his eyebrows slightly and said, “You just want to experience what it feels like to ride a horse.”

He chuckled at her surprised reaction. [Think I didn’t know what you were thinking?]

With something so interesting, how could Yan Hua sit still without experiencing it herself?

“Hehe… that’s secondary; the most important thing is to protect you, Shaman.” Yan Hua said with an awkward expression.

“Then go get two more vines, and we’ll ride on the horses together.” Su Bai helplessly smiled.

Sha Hong and the others immediately gathered around; they knew there was no use in persuading at this point, so they might as well join in.
