I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 442, Creating Momentum

Xi Guo did not pay attention to those people. He pretended to have his head held high while continuing to arrange the ceramics on the Animal Hide.

He did this deliberately, intending to make those people think that he did not care at all, making them more convinced of his sincerity. If he tried too hard to explain, it would instead make others suspicious. It was better to appear nonchalant, which would make them more likely to believe.

“Does your Flame Dragon Tribe have much food? Surely you don’t have enough to eat,” Shou Ya deliberately mocked.

“Of course we have a lot. As long as you work, you’ll have food to eat. You’ll be allocated quite a lot. We guarantee three meals a day!” Xi Guo became serious.

At this moment, it was necessary to be serious, otherwise others would think he was joking. When discussing about food, everyone in the Era would take this topic very seriously. No one would joke about food of all things.

“You get food just by working?” Da Gua weakly asked, “Are there really that many things for us to do?”

“That’s right. We aren’t Totem Warriors, what could we do in your Tribe?” Shou Ya made himself appear weak.

“As long as you’re able-bodied, there will be suitable work for you. Anyway, once you arrive, work will be assigned, and then you’ll start receiving food,” Xi Guo solemnly said.

Shou Ya deliberately paused for a moment, then asked, “Really? We’ll have work just by going there?”

At this moment, it was necessary to pretend to waver a bit, in order to attract more people.

The people around, hearing their conversation, also began to waver and started whispering to each other.

“Hey, do you think what they’re saying is true? Is the Flame Dragon Tribe really that good?”

“Who knows? But I think it must be true. Otherwise, how would they have so many ceramics?”

“Yes, those ceramics are really good things. Since their Tribe has so many, and he’s brought out so many to trade, it must mean many people have them.”

“They have such treasures and are willing to trade them, which means they definitely have more.”

“If that’s the case, then there must be a ton of benefits to becoming part of the Flame Dragon Tribe.”

“I know right. When we go to their Tribe, there will be work to do. This is an attractive proposition to me.”

“That’s right, that’s right. In our Tribe, we often have nothing to do, so I frequently have nothing to eat.”

“…”

Such discussions continued to arise among the crowd, and most of them were somewhat moved. After all, many in the crowd had no say in their Tribes, and did not even have work.

When they heard that everyone in the Flame Dragon Tribe had work, and there was food, and that everyone had ceramics, of course they were tempted.

The people of Primitive Tribes were just that simple. As long as they had something to do and food to eat, they were content, as they usually had nothing to do anyway.

“Of course, as long as you come, there will be work for you. The Flame Dragon Tribe offers many types of work, not just a single kind.” Xi Guo continued.

By now he had described all the benefits of the Flame Dragon Tribe, with the aim of attracting more and more people to come to the Tribe.

“The snow season is approaching. Does your Tribe really have enough food to feed others?” Da Gua asked.

His question was quite important, so he saved it for last, mainly to serve as the clincher.

Perhaps people did not feel much now, but once the snow season was mentioned, everyone would become nervous.

If the rainy season was a moderate disaster, then the snow season was the ultimate disaster. Few people could endure through the snow season.

Many Tribes might fare quite well in the early stages, but once the snow season arrived, all sorts of shortcomings would be exposed.

Because in the early period, everyone had enough food and more time to store food. But those stored foods would be easily consumed during the early period, leaving little food for the rest of the snow season.

Moreover, there were quite a few people in the Tribe, and the snow season was often very long, so they would normally not have enough to eat. So, many people starved to death during the snow season.

“Of course, our Tribe has an abundance of food. The food we stored for the rainy season has yet to even be completely consumed.” Xi Guo deliberately said with great pride.

Because many Tribes consumed the food they stored for the rainy season almost entirely during the rainy season. Almost no Tribe would still have food left after the rainy season passed, so what he said undoubtedly gave everyone a strong boost of confidence.

Because at this time, saying they had enough food for the snow season would not be very convincing. Rather, he mentioned that food stored for the rainy season was still abundant, which would paint it in a more believable and positive light.

“Then I want to go to your Tribe. Are there any requirements?” Shou Ya pretended to be extremely moved.

“I want to go too. As long as there’s enough food, it’s fine. After all, the snow season is coming, and I haven’t stored any food…” Da Gua added.

Both of them appeared very eager, seeming to want to immediately go to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“There are no requirements, just the ability to help with work.” Xi Guo waved his hand dismissively.

After he finished speaking, the crowd became even more agitated, with everyone starting to discuss.

“Did you hear what he just said? He said they still have leftovers from the rainy season.”

“I heard. It seems like the Flame Dragon Tribe is really good. I’m somewhat interested in going.”

“I’m also thinking about going. Although my Tribe is decent, I get very little food each day.”

“If we go to their Tribe and get meat for all three meals, that would be amazing.”

“Should we give it a try? Maybe it’s true. After all, we don’t have much to do in our Tribe anyway.”

“I want to try. Let’s go together. If it doesn’t work out, we can always come back.”

“…”

Such discussions continued to arise among the crowd. Most people had been swayed. They went from looking at each other in uncertainty to exchanging smiles.

They had made their decision.

“Then I want to go with you. When can we leave?” Da Gua asked.

“I’ll go too. After all, there’s no harm in going. It’s good to see if it’s true or not,” Shou Ya added.

“Let me go too! Take me along! I’m very strong and can do many things!” Someone in the crowd suddenly called out.

“I’m strong too! I can do many things! Plus, I eat very little!” Another person from the crowd shouted.

“…”

People in the crowd began to get agitated one by one, raising their hands and shouting, all wanting to follow the Flame Dragon Tribe.

Seeing that they had successfully created such momentum, Da Gua and Shou Ya quietly withdrew. At this moment, they could not stand out too much. Otherwise, it would be terrible if they were discovered when they returned to the Flame Dragon Tribe.
