I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 413, Transformation?

Translator: Silavin

*Meow~ Meow~* Rolly was constantly pacing back and forth in the living room, with its black eyes narrowed, looking very strange.

Its call was also quite peculiar, intermittently making low growling sounds.

Su Bai heard the sound and opened the door, walked to the living room and asked, “What’s wrong Rolly?”

He squatted down to observe the black cat, finding that the cat looked strange. It was the first time it was acting this way.

*Meow~ Meow~* Rolly kept rolling around in place, its expression and cries beginning to look like it was in pain.

Su Bai picked up Rolly and carefully observed it, worrying, “What’s wrong? Are you sick?”

*Meow*

*Meow meow… Meow-meow*

Rolly’s cries were sometimes weak and sometimes deep, and its long black tail had drooped down, looking as if exhausted.

“Heal.” Su Bai reached out his hand and began to cast the Curing Skill. At this moment, he did not know what was wrong with Rolly, so he could only use the Curing Skill directly.

Green healing light immediately radiated from his hands, and instantly, the green light began to surround the black cat. Rolly’s black eyes closed, its tail no longer swished, and its cries became weaker and weaker.

*Creak!*

*Step step step…*

Yan Hua and the others also heard the sound and hurriedly ran down from the fourth floor to see what had happened.

Because Rolly’s cries were very loud at first, they could be heard clearly on the fourth floor.

“Shaman, what’s wrong with Rolly? Why is it crying so loudly?” Yan Hua asked worriedly.

“Is Rolly sick?” Sha Lan was also worried, her cat tail drooping along with her concern.

Su Bai shook his head and withdrew his hand, saying, “I don’t know what’s wrong either. I’ve casted my Healing Shaman Technique on it already.”

Yan Hua frowned, leaning in to look at Rolly, and said, “Shaman, it looks like it’s in a lot of pain.”

Sha Lan reached out to touch Rolly, worried, “Could it have eaten something wrong?”

“I don’t know.” Su Bai sighed, placing the black cat on the table to see if it would get better later.

After all, he had just cast his Curing Skill, and needed to wait a while to see its effects.

Sha Lan also leaned in closer, carefully looking at the black cat, concerned, “Could it be that it rained and then got sick?”

“It had not gone outside at all, so it’s impossible for it to have gotten sick from being rained on.” Yan Hua directly refuted. Her expression was very solemn, feeling that the matter was not simple. She felt that Rolly’s discomfort came too suddenly.

“Hmm, the situation is a bit complicated.” Su Bai’s expression was also serious, seeing this situation for the first time.

This situation was different from those on Earth. Cats on Earth were mostly uncomfortable due to coughing up hairballs, or from congenital racial diseases. But Rolly’s current state felt like it was suffering from a serious illness. It was a true mystery as to why this was happening.

“Shaman, I feel like the Healing Shaman Technique doesn’t seem to be working,” Yan Hua said, seeing that Rolly still looked like it was in pain.

Rolly was constantly half-arching its body on the table, its head involuntarily shaking back and forth. Sometimes lying down, sometimes lying on its side, sometimes standing up and convulsing, it looked like the whole cat was being controlled by someone.

“Shaman, please cast the Healing Shaman Technique on Rolly again.” Sha Lan said worriedly.

Now Rolly had become the ‘Tribe’s pet’, everyone liked to play with it.

“En.” Su Bai reached out his hand again and began to cast his Curing Skill again.

The green light, like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, began to cover the black cat’s body.

As the green light dissipated, Rolly was still in its original state, showing no signs of improvement.

“Hmm? It’s not working?” Su Bai frowned, seeing this situation for the first time.

*Meow~ Meow~* Rolly’s cries grew louder, its black eyes began to blink, gradually turning golden.

The fur on its body also began to change colour, from pure black at the beginning, slowly turning to silver-white.

But it did not end there, the silver-white fur began to stand up, with layers of grey interspersed in between.

The slender black tail also turned into a large broom-like shape, the ears also began to grow longer fur, and the golden eyes changed colour again, turning blue.

The whole cat’s body also grew twice as large, its appearance completely different from the original black cat, as if it had been replaced with an entirely new cat.

“Shaman, is this… is this a transformation? Why did its colour change so much?” Yan Hua was shocked.

“It turned white, no, greyish-white?” Sha Lan widened her blue eyes.

“Its eye colour is the same as yours, and its body size has also doubled.” Co Co said to Sha Lan.

Su Bai was both surprised and happy, not expecting Rolly to undergo another transformation, thinking that the previous Ocelot mode was already very magical.

But now, it had undergone a different transformation, once which involved a drastic change in colour.

“It seems to be Rolly’s racial characteristic, but as for why it can transform, I don’t know.” Su Bai speculated.

He was shocked as well, but thinking about it, in this Primitive Era, anything was possible. Having a cat that could change its appearance was not that strange. Technically Su Bai found the Fish Frogs, which could lose their legs within minutes, to be stranger.

[But, why could and would Rolly transform into two different appearances? How strange. I wonder what kind of beast Rolly is?]

When it first appeared, it was also mysterious, appearing in the Tribe one night without any sign of its arrival.

“Shaman, will Rolly forget us?” This was what Yan Hua was most worried about.

The transformed Rolly lay there motionless, with its eyes closed, but it was still breathing.

Su Bai frowned slightly and said, “I don’t know about that, but… we should be careful about whether Rolly will become ferocious after its transformation.”

He was worried that after Rolly’s transformation, its previously gentle temperament might change.
