I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 445, No, Things Aren’t That Simple!

Su Bai shook his head without hesitation and softly said, “It’s fine, let me handle this.”

He knew about wild horses; horses would immediately start running once they were startled. And horses can run very fast; it would be difficult to catch up with them once they started running.

If any of them accidentally frightened these horses and they ran away, it would be quite a loss. These horses were not easy to find, so they could not carelessly let them run away again. Therefore, it would be best for him to handle it himself.

“Shaman, it is too dangerous. We cannot let anything happen to you.” Sha Hong said.

She was cautious. To her, this was not the time to take unnecessary risks. If they were dealing with small animals, that would be one thing. But they were large, and they had lethal features, so it would be impossible to allow this.

“Shaman, if these horses are hostile, you would be in danger.” Ye Jiu added.

The usually quiet and aloof Ye Jiu was also worried, so she joined in to persuade him.

“It’s fine. I have ways to deal with this, so don’t worry.” Su Bai said. He knew they were worried about him, but he had full confidence in himself.

He had recently opened an Assistance Package, and obtained a Skill, Finger Gun. If the horses made any sudden movements or showed any threatening behaviour toward him, he would immediately shoot them.

Moreover, he was the only one who could use the Taming Skill, so as long as he used Taming the moment he got close, there should not be any major problems.

“Shaman, but…” Sha Hong’s words were interrupted before she could finish.

Su Bai raised his hand with a serious expression and said, “I know you’re concerned for my safety, but only I understand these creatures, so don’t worry.”

He walked unhesitatingly toward the horses, readying the Taming Skill as he went to ensure he could Tame them at the critical moment.

A pale blue light began to emanate from Su Bai’s hands, and in no time, his hands were wrapped in pale blue light.

*Step step step…* Su Bai was silent and careful when approaching the wild horses, fearing he might startle them.

But at this moment, the girls behind him were even more nervous and worried.

Especially Yan Hua, whose brows were tightly furrowed as she firmly gripped her military knife, crouching low in a sprinting stance.

If those horses showed any unusual behaviour, she would rush forward immediately to protect his safety.

The others were the same; each was holding their breath in extreme tension, each holding their weapons at the ready.

The Ai’er and Cheng Shi were flying in the air, tightly gripping their longbows to ensure nothing would go wrong.

Su Bai gradually calmed himself as he approached the wild horses, slowly extending both hands toward them.

The wild horses were alert and had already noticed someone approaching. They had stopped eating, and their deep black eyes blinked from time to time.

Some of the horses began to turn around, their black eyes staring directly at the person walking toward them.

They did not flee, nor did they attack; the several horses just stared at Su Bai.

Their thick brown tails occasionally swayed; some stood still, while others circled around.

[This is different from what I imagined…] Su Bai thought to himself. He had expected these horses to either attack or flee. But they did neither; they all just stared at him, for unknown reasons.

He had already prepared himself to flee or dodge, but he found that these horses were not attacking.

Su Bai successfully covered the wild horses with the blue light, which was much smoother than he had imagined.

The blue light gradually covered all the wild horses completely; the entire process lasted several minutes.

Sha Hong and the others were also a bit surprised; they had all prepared to attack.

They were ready to rush forward and eliminate those wild horses to ensure the Shaman’s safety.

But what they had not expected was that these horses all remained motionless, as if they had already been Tamed.

“I didn’t expect it to be so smooth,” Su Bai felt that things were too simple; these six horses were all Tamed in less than a few minutes.

Those wild horses still stood motionless after being Tamed, and only after a good while did they start to eat again.

“Shaman, have all these horses been Tamed?” Yan Hua could hardly believe her eyes. She ran over immediately, putting away her military knife and starting to examine the horses.

This scene seemed too incredible to her. When she first saw those wild horses, she thought they would be aggressive, given their size and appearance.

The others also ran over, their doubts the same as Yan Hua.

“Yes, I didn’t expect it to be so smooth either.” Su Bai lowered his hands.

“So, can we take them back with us now?” Yu Ying asked, swishing her pink fox tail.

“Yes, we can take them all back.” Su Bai nodded.

“Great! The Tribe will have transportation soon!” Yu Ying said with a smile.

Su Bai went to a brown wild horse and reached out to touch its neck, feeling this horse from a Primitive Era.

After stroking it for a while, he thought, [Truly magnificent. This is indeed a horse from the Primitive Era…]

The horses here were very different from what he had imagined, both in terms of their docility and appearance.

“Shaman, let’s first take these horses to the hot air balloon. We don’t know if there are other beasts nearby.” Ye Jiu said.

They had quite a bit of faith in the Shaman’s Taming Technique, given their previous experience.

“Yes, let’s take them up first, and then we’ll return to the Tribe today.” Su Bai nodded.

He felt that things were not that simple, but he could not pinpoint what was strange, so it was better to quickly leave this place.

“Yes.” Ye Jiu responded immediately.

Ye Jiu followed Sha Hong and the others as they began herding the horses, driving them all to where the hot air balloon was.

“Shaman, are these few horses enough?” Yan Hua recalled that they had twenty cattle and sheep before.

“We can’t help it if the numbers are low. This is all we have for now.” Su Bai shrugged.

This was normal for wild horses, with one male horse leading several female horses.

“What a pity. It would be better if there were more.” Yu Ying lamented.

“Even if there were more, it wouldn’t help. Our hot air balloon couldn’t carry that many back at once.” Su Bai said with a smile.

But as soon as he finished speaking, his expression changed, as if he had realised something.
