I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 443, Be Careful Not to Fall Down

The hot air balloons were parked in a spacious area outside the Tribe. There were three in total, each appearing quite large in size.

These were crafted by Gu Mu, manufactured according to the blueprint of the first one.

Since the first test flight was a success and the quality was great, Su Bai ordered the production of several more.

The reason they were now parked in the spacious area was because they had all successfully completed their test flights.

Now, Su Bai and his group were planning to ride the hot air balloons to the Hunting Ground to take a look, with their main purpose being to find some animals to Tame. Of course, the most important thing was to find horses, as the Tribe urgently needed transportation vehicles.

“Shaman, will we really be able to find horses this time?” Yan Hua asked. She had heard so much about horses, but had not seen a real one yet, so she was particularly curious.

“Who knows, perhaps we will,” Su Bai laughed cheerfully, sometimes it was best not to have too high expectations. After all, the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment if they failed. It was better to let things take their natural course.

But the probability this time was quite high, after all, they were riding in hot air balloons, looking down from high in the sky, all the scenery would be within view, and the chance of seeing horses was relatively high.

Moreover, they had previously heard from the Hunting Team that horse hoof prints had been discovered in the Hunting Ground.

Of course, the appearance of horse hoofprints was something Su Bai had told them about, drawing them on paper for them to see.

Horse footprints were crescent-shaped, and he had even drawn images of horses for them to see, instructing them to look out for them as well.

“Shaman, can I really come along too?” Yu Ying was still a bit uncertain.

She almost always waited in the Tribe. But this time, she was allowed to come along, so she was quite surprised.

“Of course, but if you don’t want to go, you can also wait for us in the Tribe. We won’t be gone for too long and will return soon enough.” Su Bai calmly said.

Yu Ying hurriedly shook her head and said without hesitation. “No, I want to go with you, Shaman. I don’t want to continue being left behind, waiting in the Tribe.”

With such a rare opportunity to go out and play, how could she possibly miss it? And going with the Shaman no less. No matter what, she would follow along.

“Then stay close. Be careful, and don’t wander off.” Su Bai instructed.

“I understand,” Yu Ying nodded in response.

*Step step step…*

Su Bai and the others began boarding the hot air balloons one after another, preparing to set off toward the Hunting Ground.

There were many people accompanying them this time. Besides those who rode the hot air balloon last time, Sha Hong, He Chuan, Ye Jiu, and the other Totem Warriors were added to the group.

This was because the round trip to the Hunting Ground this time would take two days and one night, which meant they would definitely need to spend a night outside.

So, these Totem Warriors were there to protect the Shaman’s safety. Although the hot air balloons were convenient, dangers were still everywhere.

However, the preparations for this trip to the Hunting Ground were very thorough. Besides having enough Totem Warriors, they also specifically brought plenty of food.

Of course, the foods were simple, including the previously made preserved meat.

This was the debut of the preserved meat, and Su Bai had yet to taste how they were. Rather than thinking about eating it in the Tribe, it was better to bring it along on this outing to try its flavour.

“Whoosh whoosh whoosh…”

The flames in the fire basins of the hot air balloons were lit, and the balloons began to slowly inflate. The baskets also began to gradually leave the ground.

The three hot air balloons began to ascend almost simultaneously, moving majestically toward the land.

Although it was not the first time they had ridden in hot air balloons, they were still deeply impressed.

They were very curious and leaned against the sides of the basket, looking down, using a telescope to see.

Last time, because they did not use a telescope, everything they saw was a blur, but now with a telescope, everything was clear.

They kept using the telescope to look at everything below, like the animals in the forest, or jumbled rocks on the hillsides, and so on.

Although these were things they could see normally, viewing them from high in the sky with a telescope was very different.

The feeling of flying in the sky and looking down was simply too comforting, and the wind blowing on their faces felt very pleasant.

“Don’t lean out too far. Be careful not to fall off.” Su Bai cautioned.

He saw that some of the girls had half their bodies extending outside the hot air balloon and was truly worried they might fall.

However, he could not help but admire their courage, not being afraid at all of the heights. Some even extended their bodies so far outside, he got nervous for their sake.

“It’s alright, Shaman, we’ll be very careful,” Yan Hua said cheerfully, while not afraid at all. She even thought this to be exciting, so she often extended half her body outside.

Besides looking at the beautiful scenery below, she was also feeling the sensation of flying in the air and being brushed by the wind.

Su Bai smiled and shook his head. At this moment, he could only let them be. After all, Ai’er, Cheng Shi, and the others had come along, so if something really happened, they should be able to handle it.

*Whoosh whoosh whoosh…* The hot air balloons continued to fly in the sky. Since the wind was not very strong, the hot air balloons were flying steadily.

It was unlike the last time when the wind was too strong, causing the hot air balloons to violently shake. At that point, suddenly, the flames in the fire basin almost went out. However, because of this experience, they learned there were points that needed improvement.

Gu Mu had added higher borders around the fire basin of the hot air balloon, which could both block off the violent winds and prevent the flame from getting extinguished during the rain.

After the hot air balloons had continued for more than ten hours, they began to slowly approach the Hunting Ground.

“Shaman, we will soon reach the Hunting Ground. Let’s rest at the first base tonight,” Sha Hong suggested.

Because the sky was beginning to darken, it was not a good idea to continue advancing, and it was even more impossible to look for horses. Additionally, they had been flying for a whole day, so they needed to rest.

“En, you can arrange it as you see fit. Also have someone find Cang Shi and the others,” Su Bai nodded.

Since they had come to the Hunting Ground, they should meet up with them to see if they had found anything. It was also good to let them know that they had arrived, so they could arrange other matters.

“Alright.” Sha Hong nodded, being carried back to the original hot air balloon by Ai’er.

Sha Hong was originally in another hot air balloon, and when she needed to report information, she would be carried over by Ai-er, the butterfly girl.

*Whoosh whoosh whoosh…* After more than two hours, the three hot air balloons began to stop near the first base.

The hot air balloons were also collected by everyone and dragged into the cave for storage, as no one knew if they would be destroyed by Ferocious Beasts if left outside.
