Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1724: Chapter 1627: First Confrontation Scene

However, Huo Sining would never say such things to other people, because she could see that Su Lingxue and Shangguan Zhuo were clearly in a one-sided relationship, with Su Lingxue carrying the burden alone while Shangguan Zhuo was not cooperating at all.

During her time with the crew, Huo Sining had come to understand Su Lingxue somewhat. As a child star who debuted at nine years old, Su Lingxue had acted in quite a few TV dramas and movies over the years. Due to her early debut and the charming roles she played, she gained many loyal fans early on.

Yet, Huo Sining didn’t truly think highly of Su Lingxue because she didn’t have a professional background; she never attended a university to systematically study acting, which might not be advantageous for an actor’s development.

Although Su Lingxue started as a child star, she never learned professional acting techniques, relying solely on her looks to attract attention, thus preventing her acting skills from breaking through.

Moreover, despite her blossoming beauty, due to professional issues, she inevitably lacked some depth and presence, unable to single-handedly support the leading role in film and television works, appearing somewhat unsophisticated, as Zheng Lixiang put it. This was why Su Lingxue wanted to secure the lead female role in ”The Legend of the Mermaid” previously, but was directly screened out by Zheng Lixiang.

A shaky foundation renders any towering structure pointless, as it may collapse at any time.

Moreover, during this period with the crew, Huo Sining also interacted with this Su Lingxue. Out of all the staff and actors, Su Lingxue was the one Huo Sining disliked the most.

Perhaps it’s because of her pretty looks or Huan Rui’s strong backing, or maybe because she has achieved a certain status in the entertainment circle over the years, this Su Lingxue is extremely arrogant and rude, even subconsciously carrying herself with an air of superiority in her speech.

On TV screens, Su Lingxue appears as a pure, kind-hearted, pitiful beauty, but Huo Sining never expected that outside the show, within the crew, Su Lingxue interacted with people with a constant sense of superiority, often claiming to be a senior and belittling or even making things difficult for newcomer actors lower in popularity and stature than her.

A girl with pride is a good thing, but excessive arrogance and self-promotion, looking down on others, inevitably makes people dislike her.

It was at this moment Huo Sining gradually understood that many seemingly pure and simple actors in the entertainment circle were hiding countless calculations beneath the surface. Those so-called pure jade girls, ”good” men and husbands, mimic couples, and others are merely packaging by the agency; what’s truly behind them is unknown to anyone outside the circle.

This Su Lingxue is precisely a star packaged like this, seemingly innocent and kind as a little white rabbit, cute and lovable, but in reality, she’s nothing more than a vain and calculating white lotus.

Nonetheless, Huo Sining never considered forming any friendship with Su Lingxue, as once the shooting concluded, they’d have no further interactions. Thus, who she truly was didn’t concern Huo Sining.

Though this woman would occasionally approach Huo Sining, seeking a sense of presence, Huo Sining simply ignored her.

Huo Sining initially thought this woman would have some self-awareness, realizing she wasn’t liked, she’d stop bothering her, but Huo Sining underestimated Su Lingxue’s thick skin.

Even with Huo Sining’s cold demeanor, this woman managed to act oblivious, confidently being attentive in front of everyone, complimenting and flattering without hesitation, even wearing a façade of close sisterly bond as if her relationship with Huo Sining was incredibly harmonious.

Such mental resilience, Huo Sining was truly compelled to admire.

She could vaguely sympathize with why Shangguan Zhuo showed a grim expression that seemed to wish he could disappear when interacting with Su Lingxue. Anyone encountering such a person could hardly remain calm.

Thinking about this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but sympathetically glance at Shangguan Zhuo.

Luckily for her, once the shooting period ended, she could say goodbye to Su Lingxue, but Shangguan Zhuo couldn’t, as he and Su Lingxue belong to the same agency. The company binds them together, selling them as an on-screen couple image, having done so for several years without knowing when it would end.

Thinking about it this way, Huo Sining felt Shangguan Zhuo was really doing a hard job as the Ninja Divine Turtle.

A month later, Huo Sining finally welcomed her first scene opposite the male lead.

Over this month, Huo Sining’s performance was getting smoother, even receiving much appreciation from Zheng Lixiang. Many scenes, after Huo Sining interpreted the script, delivered outcomes better than what Zheng Lixiang had initially envisioned.

Zheng Lixiang sighed in her heart; if not for Huo Sining’s identity, she might have tried every means to bring her into her company because Huo Sining was truly born to be an actress with immense talent. In any given scene, a little guidance was sufficient for her to understand, and even after studying the script, she developed her own understanding of the character, merging her views with the script, thereby enriching the role.

All the crew members recognized Huo Sining’s acting skills, even Su Lingxue felt unprecedentedly threatened.

After a month of honing, Zheng Lixiang’s expectations for Huo Sining’s acting grew higher, leading to this first scene with the male lead. To test Huo Sining’s acting skills, to gauge this girl’s depth and potential, Zheng Lixiang deliberately skipped the explanation step, directly preparing the camera and instructing the actors to position themselves, signaling the start of filming.

Huo Sining, unaware of Zheng Lixiang’s intentions, stood at the camera position in her blue dress, closing her eyes and reviewing the script in her mind.

”Action!”

With the sound of the clapperboard, Huo Sining abruptly opened her eyes, immediately immersing herself in the character.

The young girl in a clean and neat light blue dress, having grown into adulthood, came ashore for the first time, unexpectedly encountering her savior from twelve years ago.

It turned out that twelve years ago, on the male lead’s birthday, while his family was out at sea, his father caught a big fish. While his father went to find the fishing net inside the cabin, the male lead saw the fish’s struggle and felt pity, thus cutting the fishing line.

Twelve years later, this big fish finally matured, transforming into a true mermaid. She came ashore intending to express her gratitude.

She secretly followed the male lead but unexpectedly uncovered a huge conspiracy, and the male lead was innocently embroiled in it. To protect the male lead, the mermaid pretended to meet him by chance and became good friends with him.
