Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1703: Chapter 1607: Mrs. Gu and Little Mrs. Gu

As soon as he opened the door, Fu Yuanshan was stunned.

Everyone else in the room also raised their heads to look at the middle-aged man who entered. Huo Sining, sitting furthest inside, was even more shocked, her mouth agape.

”Director Fu, what are you...”

Huo Sining stood up from the sofa, looking at the newcomer in surprise.

Fu Yuanshan was also at a loss. When Klimo called him over, he thought it was just a regular dispute, and although one side involved foreigners, he didn’t think it would be hard to handle on his way over.

But after arriving, he realized the situation was more complicated than he had thought. Firstly, those foreigners were aggressive and deliberately concealed the truth. Secondly, the foreigner who was hit seemed to want to use the incident to extort something.

Just these two points made the situation quite difficult to handle.

However, Fu Yuanshan didn’t expect that the most challenging part was yet to come.

Looking at the familiar stranger before him, he couldn’t help but feel that the Magic Capital was really quite small.

Otherwise, why did he keep running into this young lady wherever he went?

Fu Yuanshan’s expression changed unpredictably, looking at Huo Sining with a mixture of frustration and helplessness.

At this moment, he felt a bit regretful. Maybe he shouldn’t have gotten involved as soon as he got the call from Klimo. If he’d known that Huo Sining was involved in this incident, he certainly wouldn’t have stepped in.

But now that he was here, it was too late to regret it. Fu Yuanshan had no choice but to face it head-on. He looked around the room, guessing that Huo Sining was the key player here, then walked over and asked:

”Miss Huo, I came with people from the consulate after hearing that someone had hit a FLW contestant in a bar. So I came over, but just now I tried asking about the situation outside, and those foreigners refused to tell the truth. So I thought I’d come and ask from your side, not expecting to find you here...”

Huo Sining understood immediately upon hearing this, nodded, and smiled, ”Director Fu, no need to be nervous, let’s stick to the facts. I won’t make your job difficult with unreasonable actions. If you want to investigate, and they won’t say anything, I can tell you what happened. Many people in the bar saw this, so they can’t deny it. Besides, if necessary, we can check the surveillance footage!”

With that, Huo Sining went on to explain the entire course of events.

After listening to Huo Sining, Fu Yuanshan broke out in a cold sweat.

Initially, he thought Huo Sining did this, but he didn’t expect the situation to involve another person he couldn’t afford to offend.

Su Qingqing, Secretary Su’s daughter, he had heard of her. Rumor had it she was quite skilled, capable of fighting. Apparently, she had once taken down some street thugs, and back in high school, she led a few tomboys to bust a trafficking ring.

Fu Yuanshan’s face displayed an expression of existential despair, knowing that if this matter wasn’t handled properly, just Su Qingqing’s involvement would be enough to cost him dearly. Should Secretary Su come down on him, his post as director might be at risk.

He glanced at Su Qingqing, lying on the sofa unconscious, and sighed heavily, looking indignant:

”Miss Huo, rest assured. This isn’t the old days anymore; foreigners have to abide by Huaxia rules here. Coming onto our turf to bully our people will not stand.”

Huo Sining smiled, but inwardly disagreed with Fu Yuanshan’s words.

If it were regular people at the center of this incident, would Fu Yuanshan defend his own like this? Probably not. Those foreigners had their own connections, and if not for the fact that she and Su Qingqing were untouchable for those people, Fu Yuanshan might very well have buckled under consular pressure, compromising to keep the peace and his position.

Huo Sining knew that Fu Yuanshan’s earnest attitude was due to assessing their status and leveraging it for his advantage. Still, since he was standing up for her now, she wouldn’t reveal the underlying reasons in front of everyone.

She nodded with a smile, ”I just told that foreigner, if he wants compensation, I can offer him 2,000 yuan out of humanitarian concern. If he’s still not satisfied, I can reset his dislocated arm for free. But, the injured person must apologize to Qingqing; otherwise, this is over. We haven’t lost anything anyway!”

Fu Yuanshan, seeing Huo Sining’s nonchalant demeanor, had his own mind racing.

And how she said ”we haven’t lost anything” reminded him of the first time he met Huo Sining and Mrs. Gu two years ago.

Mrs. Gu always acted impulsively and had zero tolerance for evil. Once, at a banquet, a woman tried to seduce Mr. Gu. Without a word, Mrs. Gu acted immediately, knocking the woman out right there in front of all the guests.

Mr. Gu, ever the defender, doted on his wife unconditionally. His wife caused a scene at someone else’s banquet, yet he felt no shame; he actually cheered her on.

Since then, nobody dared mess with Mrs. Gu, knowing her reputation. No matter how rich or handsome Mr. Gu was, no woman dared approach, fearing Mrs. Gu’s prowess.

Fu Yuanshan had witnessed Mrs. Gu’s outburst in its entirety that time.

With such a tough mother-in-law as a role model, chasing off mistresses with brute force, and now Huo Sining as Mrs. Gu’s daughter-in-law, this young woman’s temper was no less than Mrs. Gu’s.

Fu Yuanshan could foresee what this Little Mrs. Gu would be like in the future.

Another she-devil was born.

Silently, Fu Yuanshan expressed three moments of silence for those foreigners outside. It really wasn’t his intention to neglect them; it was just that the person in front of him outweighed even Mrs. Gu in status and position. Even rank officers would have to give way to her.

While Fu Yuanshan’s thoughts remained private, Huo Sining had already made her stance clear. If Fu Yuanshan still didn’t know what to do, then he’d truly be hopelessly clueless.
