Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1704: Chapter 1608: Each One More Impressive Than the Last

This is where Huo Sining underestimated Fu Yuanshan.

For someone to sit in the position of director, Fu Yuanshan is undoubtedly top-notch in terms of ability and understanding the intentions of those above. Therefore, he clearly understood the implication of Huo Sining’s words.

So Fu Yuanshan directly said, ”Miss Huo, you can rest assured. I will handle this matter for you entirely. You just wait here, it won’t take long.”

Huo Sining barely visibly nodded.

After saying this, Fu Yuanshan went out, closing the door of the private room behind him.

Outside, Klimo and Matthew were both waiting, but neither looked happy. Each had their arms crossed, awaiting Fu Yuanshan’s stance.

Upon exiting the room, Fu Yuanshan had a very serious expression as he looked at the injured Edwin and said:

”Mr. Edwin, I have inquired with the lady inside the room. She said the incident was caused by you, and she was just acting in self-defense.”

Upon hearing this, Klimo and Matthew’s expressions both changed dramatically. Edwin’s face turned ashen, and he hurriedly tried to defend himself.

There was no way Fu Yuanshan would let Edwin speak at that moment. In this situation, he had to maintain control, so he continued to speak, cutting Edwin off:

”Mr. Edwin, there is no need for you to argue. I think we all know what happened. There are plenty of eyewitnesses in this bar. If you refuse to admit it, we can directly check the surveillance footage. I have asked the bar manager; there are four cameras installed outside the corridor of the bar restroom, clearly capturing the situation in the corridor. Whatever happened will be evident once the footage is retrieved!”

The implication in Fu Yuanshan’s words was clear: if you continue to spout nonsense, we will confront you with the surveillance footage. I have no objection if you’re not afraid of embarrassment.

Sure enough, upon hearing this, Edwin’s expression froze. A mix of panic and guilt flickered in his eyes, evidently aware that the incident was because of his frivolous behavior.

The teammates and Matthew, seeing Edwin’s expression, also understood. It seems that Edwin had indeed been the one to harass first, but he hadn’t expected to provoke a woman skilled in Huaxia martial arts, who knocked him down outright.

Edwin wanted to explain that he hadn’t touched anything, only barely touched the woman’s leg without any sensation when the woman suddenly acted. With a swift shoulder throw, she floored him and even twisted his arm; he was the unfortunate one.

But Edwin was in the wrong first; explaining now was futile. He could only swallow this silent grievance in frustration.

Matthew said nothing, but Klimo was very dissatisfied with Fu Yuanshan’s handling of the situation. He couldn’t help but approach Fu Yuanshan and said discontentedly:

”Fu, your actions put me in a difficult position. We agreed on this when we arrived. Back when your son went abroad to study, I helped you. This time, you agreed to return the favor by fixing this for me. I have a good relationship with Matthew, and you can’t refuse to help me.”

Fu Yuanshan showed a slight bitter smile, glanced at Matthew and Edwin, and sighed heavily, saying:

”Klimo, it’s not that I don’t want to help you this time, but your people acted too recklessly. Do you know who Edwin attempted to assault? That woman is the daughter of Magic Capital’s ********, the equivalent of a governor’s daughter in your country. Would you dare to offend such a person?”

Hearing this, Klimo’s expression changed dramatically. He looked at Edwin in astonishment, then back at Fu Yuanshan, doubtfully asking, ”Fu, is what you’re saying true?”

Fu Yuanshan nodded: ”Klimo, considering my relationship with you, do you think I would lie to you for someone unrelated? I did consider helping you, but this matter isn’t my fault, and I can’t do anything about it.”

”Moreover, I don’t mind telling you, this issue not only involves the daughter of ******** but also someone even more formidable was in that private room.”

Upon hearing this, Klimo’s head jerked up: ”Someone more formidable?”

Fu Yuanshan nodded: ”You should remember the Huaxia female team captain who was brilliant at your International Treasure Appraisal Conference in New York not long ago, right?”

Klimo paused, eyes deepening as if trying to recall something, and after a few seconds, he asked, ”Are you referring to Miss Huo?”

Fu Yuanshan nodded: ”Yes, her. This Huo Sining is a well-known figure in Huaxia. She resides in Magic Capital and has a sisterly relationship with ********’s daughter. Today is ********’s daughter’s birthday, and they came to this bar to celebrate.”

”The drunk one was ********’s daughter, but it was Huo Sining who stood up for her.”

”You might not be aware of Huo Sining’s specific identity. Let me tell you, this woman is the granddaughter-in-law of the head of the Imperial Capital’s military district. Recently, she led the national team to win top honors in your New York competition, and I heard she was even granted a military rank. Would anyone dare to provoke such a person?”

Klimo’s pupils shrank. Having been with the Huaxia consulate for many years, he had some understanding of the connections and social interactions in Huaxia, fully aware how important power, status, and networks are in Huaxia.

This Miss Huo having such a high status and position in Huaxia meant she was definitely not someone Edwin and he could afford to provoke. Otherwise, it wouldn’t just be a conflict between two ordinary people; it might trigger an international dispute, even alarming the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Afraid that his explanation wasn’t clear enough for Klimo, Fu Yuanshan fueled the fire further:

”A couple of years ago, I wasn’t aware of this Miss Huo’s identity. Back then, someone else with no foresight provoked her. A police station chief detained her, and guess what happened?”

Klimo shook his head, curiously asking, ”What happened?”

Fu Yuanshan smiled bitterly: ”In less than an hour, the Magic Capital’s military, political, and police sectors were all alarmed. The military district dispatched several trucks of special forces to surround the police station. ********’s secretary went there as well, and our phone lines from the police headquarters were flooded, all trying to find out who on earth dared to detain that Huo woman.”
