Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1712: Chapter 1616: Following Them

”Captain, did we pick the wrong spot here? Should we try another place?”

”Exactly, they’ve caught so many over there, if we keep sitting and waiting, we’re bound to lose!”

”Yeah, let’s find another spot!”

The group of teammates couldn’t take it anymore and finally protested.

Edwin’s expression was also grim, his gaze darkened as he glanced at the bustling Huaxia team and said in a deep voice, ”Boatman, please start the boat! We’re changing locations!”

The boatman heard Edwin’s instructions, and without a word, he pressed the accelerator and headed toward another spot.

”Look, the American team is moving. They must have been forced by the Huaxia team!”

”Haha, if the Huaxia team keeps showing off, they’ll likely become depressed, what if they don’t change location?”

”Whoa, what’s the Huaxia team doing now? Are they really planning to follow the American team?”

”Oh my, really, the Huaxia team started their boat too, just following behind the American team. What are they trying to do? Wasn’t it good enough to fish at that spot where fish were biting as soon as the line was in the water?”

”Exactly, wasn’t it a good spot to stay at? They found a great place, presumably with a bass school down there, abandoning it to follow the American team, what if there are no fish later?”

”I don’t get it either. It feels like they’re going to regret it!”

Seeing Edwin instruct the boatman to start the boat, Huo Sining immediately reeled in her line and gestured for the boatman to follow.

The other team members were stunned at this, all looking toward Huo Sining in shock, seemingly unsure of what she intended.

”Miss Huo, isn’t it good to fish here? Why follow them? If we change spots, we might not catch as many fish again.”

Zheng Huaqing couldn’t help but ask.

Huo Sining looked up at Zheng Huaqing, ”Director Zheng, don’t forget, I told the American team earlier—I won’t let them catch a single fish!”

Zheng Huaqing’s expression froze, wanting to say something, but after opening his mouth, he swallowed his words.

Huo Sining remained calm, seemingly aware of the unease among the team members, so she reassured them, ”Don’t worry, I said we would win, and I won’t let you lose. I’m always true to my word! I just want to teach those Americans a lesson!”

The other team members had their reservations but didn’t voice them, because indeed, Huo Sining had caught the most fish and had the authority to speak.

Although they remained silent, internally, they were pondering—fishing has so many variables, can you just win by saying so? The reservoir isn’t yours, can these fish really follow your command?

The American team was going crazy, especially Edwin, whose face contorted angrily. He hadn’t anticipated the Huaxia team would actually follow them everywhere their boat went.

Edwin, being scheming, came up with a plan on the spot:

”Boatman, make a loop, let’s return to the previous spot, right where the Huaxia team’s yacht was. They caught so many fish earlier, indicating a bass school underneath. Let’s go back and take their spot!”

The boatman paused at Edwin’s words, but the other American team members smirked smugly:

”This is good, let them follow us—their plan will backfire. Haha, once we take that spot, we’ll catch the fish, and they’ll be left watching!”

The American team members laughed triumphantly while the boatman quickly circled around on the water before returning.

Realizing the Americans’ intention, the Huaxia team’s faces turned ashen:

”These damned Americans, they’re too cunning! They tricked us into giving up the spot!”

”They have this sneaky idea to seize our spot!”

”We should’ve never followed their boat. Now the precious spot is gone, they will definitely dominate the bass school!”

The Huaxia team panicked, disoriented, and even Zheng Huaqing was livid.

But Huo Sining remained unfazed, holding her bait ball calmly.

”It’s over, Huaxia team fell for it—following the American team only led to losing a good spot!”

”Damn, what are the Huaxia team doing? Why chase the American team? Do they think the reservoir fish are theirs?”

”This is losing everything—a terrible misjudgment. Those Americans are so devious!”

”But this tactic worked because the Huaxia team took the bait. Without their greed, they wouldn’t have been duped!”

”In competitions, deception and cunning are common with each showing their skills. The mistake was Huaxia team’s strategy; it’s no one’s fault but theirs!”

A crowd of spectators fretted, some losing patience and venting angrily online, feeling disappointed and frustrated with the Huaxia team.

Unaware of the online turmoil caused by her actions, Huo Sining saw the American team settle at their previous fishing spot and Edwin provocatively flashed them a middle finger with a mocking smile; yet, she wasn’t upset—calmly smiling instead, showing a bit of sympathy in her look at Edwin.

The boat stopped, and Edwin along with other American members cast their lines.

The Huaxia team fumed, each expressing anger, with one suggesting, ”Boatman, let’s just crash into them, fight those Americans if we must!”

”Exactly, don’t let them succeed, that’s our spot, we can’t let them benefit!”

”Let’s compete, see who wins this, let’s cast lines their way too!”

The members, faces flushed with fury, seemed ready to fight, but seeing this, Huo Sining chuckled: ”Why rush? Whether they catch fish isn’t guaranteed!”

As she spoke, Huo Sining cast her line, freshly baited, out into the water.
