Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1719: Chapter 1622: Celebrity Privilege

A woman in her thirties knocked on the door, accompanied by the hotel customer service manager, whose name tag read Chen Ru.

The woman had knocked several times before Huo Sining finally opened the door, so her expression was rather unhappy, especially after seeing that Huo Sining was just a young girl, she naturally felt a bit contemptuous.

So the woman directly threw a business card at Huo Sining and said rather impolitely:

”Miss, I’m Su Lingxue’s agent, Huang Jingwen. Because the hotel doesn’t have enough rooms, we need to requisition your suite now. Please vacate your room.”

Vacate? Huo Sining was immediately taken aback.

Huo Sining hadn’t initially understood why Su Lingxue’s agent was knocking on her door. Now, her eyes were filled with surprise and absurdity.

Having lived for almost thirty years and stayed in countless hotels, this was the first time Huo Sining encountered such a bizarre situation where a guest was forced to give up their room in the middle of the night.

Huo Sining was speechless. On what grounds did this woman, named Huang Jingwen, so arrogantly demand that she vacate the room? Was this the so-called celebrity privilege?

Well, sorry, but Huo Sining wasn’t a fan of Su Lingxue and wouldn’t, like some brain-dead fans, be unable to move when meeting someone associated with Su Lingxue.

Seeing that Huo Sining was standing still and not moving, Huang Jingwen immediately became unhappy and tried to storm into Huo Sining’s room. There was no way Huo Sining would let her succeed; she blocked the door and wouldn’t budge.

”Didn’t you hear? This room has been requisitioned by me, hurry up and pack your things and go!”

Huang Jingwen’s voice turned sharp, glaring at Huo Sining and barking harshly.

The customer service manager, Chen Ru, saw that the situation was getting tense and quickly stepped in to mediate:

”Miss, since the hotel rooms are insufficient, could you bear with it and give up your suite? We will refund your room fee in full. We’ve already arranged for you to stay in a standard room on the floor below, which you can use for free.”

”No way!”

Huo Sining replied coolly and turned to close the door.

She didn’t want to entangle with such unreasonable people. This hotel was booked for her by Zheng Lixiang, and the payment was already made. It was only right that she stayed in the room. Why should she give it up? Staying for free as compensation—ha! Was she, Huo Sining, short of that money?

Seeing the customer service manager looking distressed, Huo Sining knew that this matter was likely just Huang Jingwen’s wishful thinking and not the hotel’s coercion.

Although Huo Sining wasn’t in the entertainment industry, she knew that being a celebrity entailed many inconveniences, and staying in a hotel required careful attention to details, as mishandling could lead to the artist’s privacy being exposed.

As the artist’s personal manager, mishandling issues would definitely result in being reprimanded.

Not to mention changing rooms; in her past life, Huo Sining had even read news where a manager knelt to apologize for the artist’s mistakes. To her, the job of a manager seemed utterly inhumane.

Huo Sining wasn’t completely unreasonable, but she was a bit stubborn; she’d soften if reasoned with nicely but not yield to force. Had Huang Jingwen not been so overbearing initially and instead clearly explained the situation to seek her opinion, Huo Sining would have let it go without hesitation.

The woman angrily knocked on the door a few more times but quieted down after seeing no response from Huo Sining. Soon, Huo Sining heard knocking on the next-door suite—presumably, they were trying to negotiate with other guests.

Hearing voices next door, followed by surprised exclamations from a girl, though unclear what was said, Huo Sining could more or less guess the situation.

It must be another round of the same tactic; Huang Jingwei would first show the business card, proving identity, and it just so happened that next door lived a fan of Su Lingxue, who, upon learning their intentions, became starry-eyed and vacated the room without hesitation.

Imagining the scenario in her mind, a mocking smile unintentionally crossed Huo Sining’s lips, and she shook her head helplessly.

Assuming the matter was settled, she turned and returned to bed to continue resting, not taking the incident to heart.

However, what Huo Sining didn’t expect was to encounter Huang Jingwen again at the next day’s opening ceremony.

Early the next morning, awakened by a call from Zheng Lixiang, Huo Sining freshened up and went down to the lobby, as instructed by Zheng Lixiang, to meet the rest of the cast.

As she was about to go downstairs, she ran into Huang Jingwen and Su Lingxue, who were coming out from next door.

Upon seeing Huo Sining, Huang Jingwen was taken aback for a moment, then immediately glared at her fiercely.

Huo Sining, unfazed, put on her sunglasses and walked straight into the elevator as if nothing had happened.

Seeing Huo Sining grab the elevator, Huang Jingwen’s face immediately darkened, and she snapped at Huo Sining: ”Get off and take the next one; we have urgent matters to attend to!”

Huo Sining almost laughed out of anger and looked at Huang Jingwen with an expression as if she was a fool.

She really couldn’t understand where Huang Jingwen’s audacity came from, to be so brazenly domineering everywhere; did she really think she was superior to others?

Huo Sining thought surely Su Lingxue would reprimand Huang Jingwen for speaking that way?

But to Huo Sining’s surprise, Su Lingxue’s face remained blank, and the look she gave Huo Sining was utterly impatient, as if saying, ”Didn’t you hear her asking you to take the next one; why are you so shamelessly still standing there?”

Witnessing this, Huo Sining finally understood; they say the owner defines the servant, clearly indicating both expected her to yield the elevator as a matter of course.

Huo Sining had no idea what to say. She harbored no prejudice against people in the entertainment industry, but that didn’t mean she believed celebrities were superior and had special privileges.

So she blatantly ignored the two of them and decisively pressed the elevator’s close button.

The two women probably never suffered such a blow; upon seeing Huo Sining press the close button, they exploded with rage. Huang Jingwen, in anger, cursed loudly, and Su Lingxue’s face completely darkened as well.
