My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2110: Chapter 1943: Change

Every decision I make has never been changed by anyone because I know that once I’ve decided, I won’t let myself regret it!

Zhang Zhentian knew his wife said so much just to make him retreat, but how could he easily back down? Since he made this decision back then, he would never regret it, as long as he could stay by his wife’s side. Even if he had to endure grievances, what did it matter?

On the contrary, seeing his wife consider so much for his sake really moved him. He never imagined he’d someday share the same attitude as her, because every time he did something, it caused her great pain, as everything he did in her eyes was wrong.

But today, he realized his years of effort hadn’t been in vain. Those efforts hadn’t gone unnoticed by his wife; she just pretended not to see. She silently endured everything alone, and now she finally couldn’t help but show her true feelings.

”Honey, no matter what you think, I just want to tell you that my decision will never change. Since I decided to stay by your side, I will stay no matter what, even if you want to kick me out.

For all these years, we’ve depended on each other, accompanying each other for so long. Don’t you have any love for me in your heart? If you don’t love me, why care about me? If you don’t love me, why worry about me being hurt?

You just don’t dare to believe in yourself, afraid of facing your own heart.

Because you place my status among those people, you fear that I think you’re betraying him, but do you know that despite the years passing, even if you reunite with him, can you return to how things were? The past is already gone. Shouldn’t you cherish the present and live well with me? Isn’t that more important?

If you keep grasping onto the past, then neither of us can ever be happy. Everyone’s happiness is simple: just having loved ones by your side, living a carefree life is the greatest happiness, and you are the greatest happiness I have in this lifetime.

Don’t think the words I say to you are sweet talk. Every word is sincere. I genuinely want to be with you, and that wish has never changed. I’ve longed for the day we could be together, happy and joyful, but now that day has come, why reveal such harsh truths after all these years?

Seeing me live in such sadness and desolation, will your heart truly be happy? You know how conflicted and painful my heart is, yet you resolutely tell me this.

I know you want to be honest with me, but don’t you realize that every impulsive decision you make drives us towards different decisions?

”Yes, I hope you don’t say some things anymore. There’s really no connection between us, no possibility of being together. If someday you truly accept me, then give up those hopes. I said I’d slowly try, and I have to admit my heart feels conflicted because of you.

You’re right; being with you feels like betraying him. Do you know how painful this torment is for me? I’m tangled up over and over again, not knowing which choice is correct. I want a peaceful life with you, but I can’t betray him!”

”Actually, from the day you married me, you were already betraying him. So why speak these words now? What meaning do they hold? Do you think saying these words will bring him back to you? It won’t!

Are you truly happy numbing yourself with self-deception? Can’t you see what kind of life you desire? But you don’t know what you ought to do!

Perhaps my demands seem too harsh, but this is the most honest expression from deep within me, which is why I tell you these things unwaveringly!

I just want to share my true thoughts with you, hoping you stay by my side, living the happiness we desire. Stop quarreling over discrepancies, or arguing due to differing opinions; that’s exhausting. Why complicate a life that can be so happy?”

Xia Jing really doesn’t know what to say. No matter what she says, her husband considers her to be unreasonable, and he has reasons to argue against every word. To him, nothing she does or says is right.

Suddenly, she feels so tired of being with her husband, because everything she says is wrong. What’s the point of being together like this, better to separate sooner.

Zhang Zhentian feared his wife would reject him, so he looked at her with longing eyes, hoping she’d leave some room to maneuver, not be so absolute. He just wants to stay by her side, but why does she always reject him this way? After rejecting him, will her heart truly be happy?

Will staying by his side make his wife feel so insecure and uncomfortable? The repeated pain eventually tortured his heart.

”You say nothing to me, just stay here peacefully. I only want to say that whatever decision you make, I’ll support you, but at least respect my personal wishes, I can also feel hurt!”

Although sometimes I have a bad temper, I always strive not to let those who love me get hurt!
