My Alleged Husband

Chapter 369: Chapter 349 Comment_1

”Thank you for being by my side and helping me through the challenges that my beloved and I faced together. Your guidance has helped me see what I need to do next. Since I chose to be with him, I shouldn’t keep nitpicking or complaining about him, let alone oppose him. Instead, I should support him unconditionally because he is my only pillar in this life, my husband, the man I’m going to spend my life with. How can I repeatedly complain about him over trivial matters?” Ran Zhihan said to Lei Jian.”

Lei Jian nodded, looking at the girl in front of him who, thanks to a few simple words from him, had gained clarity. How could he not be pleased? Aside from some knots in his heart involving a brother he had grown up with, it seemed she had come to understand everything now and knew what to do; she would no longer disappoint him. He believed in her.

”It’s comforting to know that you’ve understood what’s in my heart. Since you’ve come to realize this, I trust that you know what to do next. The difficulties that a couple faces are truly endless. If you keep blaming and doubting each other over minor issues, what’s the point of being together? If being together is just for the sake of a comfortable embrace whenever you need it, then you truly aren’t fit to be husband and wife, as you would be betraying the very definition of what it means to be married! He is like a brother to me, having grown up together, and I trust that there is a reason behind everything he does; he doesn’t make baffling decisions without cause. Every choice he makes is to ensure that those he cares about have a better life because of his actions. As a man who works tirelessly outside for his wife and his family, shouldn’t you, his wife, show some understanding and appreciate how much he has done and contributed to your household?”

”I understand. It was petty of me to have been so mean to him and to have complained, not understanding or trusting him. Looking back, I feel unworthy of being his wife, lacking even the most basic qualifications. I failed to do what a wife should do and did not fulfill the responsibilities that a wife should uphold. I truly was negligent!”

”Don’t talk like that. Now that you’ve seen the light, I’m relieved. I hope that you both can live openheartedly from now on. I also hope you’ll remember every word I’ve said to you today. Don’t doubt the person by your side over trivial matters, because the most important person can’t withstand doubt. Continual suspicion could easily strain your relationship. Would you really want to see your husband become a stranger to you, forever indifferent? I don’t think you would want such a thing to happen to you. I can see how much you care about my brother, and I know how important you are to him. He would do anything for you, leading to miscommunication and misunderstandings that cause you to doubt and mistrust him. However, I believe that, despite your harsh words, he still loves you deeply. His love for you hasn’t waned a bit because he trusts you. It was just a moment of anger that prevented you from figuring out how to communicate with him, and he didn’t know how to explain himself either. Will you continue this silent battle or remain silent forever?”

”I won’t be cold to him anymore. I won’t doubt her anymore because I now understand that whatever decisions he makes he does with a heart full of love for me. With such a loving husband who cherishes and cares for me, why wouldn’t I embrace it? Why nitpick over such petty matters? Shouldn’t I be more generous and let things go? Clinging to the past only prevents my family and those I care about from living happily. I don’t want such things in my life. I just hope my husband and I can hand in hand create our future together. Three years or however long it takes, I can wait to have our child until after these years. Wouldn’t it be better to strengthen our bond in the meantime?”

”That’s the right way to think. Such simple matters, yet why have they become so complicated to you? Many things aren’t that difficult, but you’ve made them complicated, which is why you couldn’t untie this knot, causing you so much sadness and pain. Look forward and don’t let trivial things damage your relationship, as that would truly be a loss!”

”Thank you for saying so much to me today. Now I need to go find my husband. I can’t let him wander alone anymore. I have to bring him back to our home. I want to show him the love of a wife. I want to prove that he is the one I care about most.” Ran Zhihan left after speaking.

She walked while dialing her husband’s number, but no one picked up. In the end, she had no choice but to leave a message: ”Husband, I’m sorry, I was wrong about this matter. I shouldn’t have been petty and taken my anger out on you. Where are you now? Can you come back soon? I miss you so much. I won’t argue with you over anything anymore; we are husband and wife and should be able to face any issues together. Don’t bear everything on your own anymore. I’m waiting at home for you to return!”
